LEUCADIA GLASS

They refused to come give me an estimate because I lived 15 minutes away. They are in Leucadia and I'm in Oceanside. They said they don't service any of Oceanside. From their shop to my house is 16 miles.

The owner of this business is awful to deal with. We had shower glass put on a year ago on our remodel in guest and primary bathrooms. One of the hinges in the guest bathroom was installed crooked. I called him right after and he said that's due to the tile and there's nothing that could have been done about it...Although none of the other hinges on that shower were crooked. I let that go. Then, the primary bathroom shower door wasn't closing properly, so we had someone come in and fix that so it closed properly. The nice worker that put it in, acknowledged that it was an issue and fixed it and it's been working fine since then. Then a couple of months ago, the black color on one of the hinges/screws in the primary bathroom completely went away to the point where the stainless steel was showing. After less than a year, that should not have happened. None of the other hinges showed any discoloration like that. They came over and replaced that as well. We just called them for another job, to add a door to an existing shower and they sent a worker in (very nice guy btw) to measure and give us a quote. I took the time off from work to be there and he came and measured. I just received a call from the arrogant owner that he doesn't want to bid the job since they've "had many issues with us previously." The three times we've called them have been: 1. The crooked hinge (which they did nothing about and we just let it go) 2. The dysfunctional shower door, which they came na fixed 3. The corroded hinge that needed replacement and they replaced... If you call him to stand behind his work, he either won't do it, or he will complain and black ball you since he only likes mainly dealing with home flippers and contractors that don't really care about customer service and quality control and pass on the unprofessional work to the home owner. Stay away, if you want to deal with a business that does the job right the first time or actually stands behind their work. These guys have gotten to arrogant over the last few years since construction business has been booming and couldn't care less about their customers and their workmanship. Stay away.

Came for an initial quote, and explained what my options were. Replacing the whole panel was the best for long term. They were also able to source the frosted glass pattern; I had thought it would be difficult to obtain. After ordering the parts, the install was scheduled. Everything went quickly and smoothly. I have not had any issue since the replacement, which was about 1 year ago now.

They destroyed my shower. They put in new glass using really long 3" screws that drilled through all the protective layers that were put in place by the tile installer. Over the next couple of months, the water got down into the wood and caused it to swell. The swelled wood caused the tile to lift. I had to hire somebody else to come out and fix everything they'd ruined. Then they cancelled an appointment after I took a half day off work, and was on my way driving home. They said they weren't going to come out because it was a liability because I didn't have a shower permit for remodeling my shower. They didn't have any problem doing the job, after they took they money. I had all the damage redone and repaired in May 2014 by an entirely different company who did a fantastic job.

They were not able to fix the magnet on the shower door, but were very upfront and honest about it.

I have used Leucadia for all my screen needs over the years. The have come to my home, to my rental property, and I have gone to their place of business. They have always been very customer oriented in everything they do from price, to quality, to responsiveness, to punctuality, to professionalism. I would highly recommend this business. I wish I needed more screens!

They did fine. They did a great job. I chose them maybe because they were top of the list on Angie's List and I called them and they were able to accommodate it quite easily. The price was good. It was ready when they said it would.

They were great- even worked directly with my tenant to set up appointments. Punctual and friendly.

The company measured the glass, duplicated the texture (was a bathroom window), installed and was very careful in picking up all the glass from the broken window. Very thorough.

In order to prevent damage from recurring to an espresso-colored entertainment console that I just had refinished, I went to Leucadia Glass to have them fabricate a piece of glass to cover the top of the console. I was initially a bit skeptical when I walked into their somewhat decrepit-looking office, but I was promptly serviced, provided a quote, and given a very reasonable turn-around time. I returned several days later to pick up the finished piece. They helped me load it into my SUV, and when I arrived home and finally unwrapped it, I was extremely pleased with the quality and how perfectly it fit the top of my console. If only I had done this years ago when I first purchased the console, I wouldn't have had to incur the expense of having it re-finished! Anyway, Leucadia Glass did a great job at a fair price, and I will most certainly be a repeat customer!

Leucadia Glass has earned my loyalty and business FOREVER! A couple of windows in my Living Room were not staying up properly, and I needed help. My friend had tried to fix them and had gone to a different glass store for help/information/parts, but after many attempts, he threw his hands up in frustration. I called Leucadia Glass and Spencer came out to help. He is GREAT! He was able to easily fix 2 of my 3 malfunctioning windows on the spot. Then he told me I needed a new balance. He explained to me how to install the new balance so I could just pick it up from the store and install it myself, to save some money. Great! He went back to the store and ordered the part and gave me my total cost over the phone. It was a BARGAIN!! I was thrilled. With great enthusiasm, I picked up the balance later that day and came home to install it myself. I tried and tried, but couldn't get it to work. Further inspection revealed a little plastic piece at the top of the window frame was broken. Great. Back to Leucadia Glass I went to get the part. Again, they were SUPER helpful. Armed with more knowledge, I marched back home to get the job done. I was very disheartened when I could not get it working properly. My friend tried too, with no success. I reluctantly had to admit defeat and called to have the experts come out to do it. Spencer came out to the house today and said the balance I had just gotten was broken. He said he had never seen one fail like that. Bottom line, HE got a new balance and installed it ... free of charge!! You just don't see service like that these days. Additionally, I had a screen replaced by Leucadia Glass, and I was impressed by that as well. They are a full service operation in all regards. Thank you Spencer, and thank you, Leucadia Glass!

I had a broken fixed panel window and I called Leucadia Glass and they told me hpw to remove it and take it in myself,saving a service call.

Quick, friendly, efficient, good price! Wish we could have used them for screen replacement also, because they actually gave us a better price than the other vendors, but due to time constraints, we had to use another company that could manufacture them overnight. It's a family-owned business, and the two sons did the actual removal and installation of the windows. They are fast, efficient, very personable young men. They called about two hours earlier than planned and asked if it would be all right if they came earlier to do the work. We'd definitely use this company again!

They were most unhelpful. I think they might have changed owners or something. The man who answered the phone said they do not do repairs, have never done repairs before (even when I reminded them that I paid $500 for a repair they did last year). He denied ever doing it, and had no referrals for me, on who might do repairs, and no advice for me on where I might get the parts. His attitude was just like, "too bad for you, I can't and won't help you." At least other companies gave me leads that eventually led to a company who would do repairs. The worse part was he flat out denied that he ever did any repairs, when we had already used them several times in the past to repair a hinge, and also many window cranks (before we learned to do it ourselves). They were the most expensive back then, but at least they had good customer service and professionalism. I'm rating them again to let others know of this change.

They were knowledgeable about casement windows and able to do the job. The workers were only 5 minutes late and worked efficiently. The price was quite expensive.

THE SQUARE FOOTAGE WAS VERY CRITICAL TO GET RIGHT. THEY ROUNDED THE CORNERS I/4IN, TO MATCH MY TABLE. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED.
