Terribly disappointing experience. Encinitas Glass fired the first guy who came out to do my measurements. This led to a 4-5 week delay. They finally sent another crew to re-measure. When glass finally arrived, several panels were not cut to the correct dimensions. This, after the second team of three people spent literally all day taking measurements on the house. Followed by more delays. And more visits to the house. Infuriating. Still not done.

This was a 2nd order that was placed for a glass table top. The order was placed on August 26, and Encinitas Glass said the order would be ready by Friday and would call to let me know. They did not call for 3 weeks. When they called to say the order was finally ready, I was leaving town on business in Spain for an extended period of time. I returned to town on 10/2 and yesterday late afternoon I went to Encinitas Glass to pick up the piece. It was wrapped in brown paper. I did not open the package at their store, but when I got home and opened the package, I saw that the glass was chipped on the corner and there is some sort of residue smeared on the top. I called them immediately this morning because they were closed for business by the time I opened the package to see the damage. I sent photos of the damage, and they responded with the following email: I?ve spoken with my supervisor Roman and shown him the pictures. We have no way on knowing exactly when this chip occurred. You placed the order on August 26th. The order came in to us from the manufacturer on September 2nd we inspected it and wrapped it. We notified you it was in our shop on September 3rd. It sat in our shop wrapped until the time you picked it up on November 4th. We have no way of knowing when the chip in the mirror occurred. The best we can offer is a discount on a new mirror. A new mirror would be 71.00 plus tax. Their response doesn't provide a correct timeline, and they had the glass the entire time. It truly was damaged before I even received it. I am disappointed because it took them so long to get the order ready in the first place, and now I will have to replace the glass because the damage is too noticeable to use on the antique table that I bought it for. Very, very sad that this company won't stand behind it's product on such a small issue, but I am fortunate because I need new windows in two homes and I had hoped their company would be a good fit for the work. I am glad that I found out that this company has very poor customer service on such a small order and BEFORE I placed a large order with them. One last item is that the woman who runs the front desk has very, very weak customer service skills. She's rude and not very courteous. Encinitas Glass boasts of being a family run business, so I guess they feel that they don't have to give good service.

They did a very nice job and the price was competitive. They worked around my schedule so everything was successful. They did an excellent job on cleaning up.
