John from C&D was able to come do the work within 30 minutes of my call. On a Saturday! At first he tried to pick the lock and worked hard at it, but the lock's age and wear made it impossible. So, he replaced the lock (with my concurrence). New lock works great. Very responsive, courteous and efficient service. I would definitely use C&D again.

Our front door handle/latch stopped working. My husband took it apart to try and see what the problem was. We were going to just replace the 45 year old handle, but none of the hardware stores had a handle that would fit the holes in the door. Desperate, and with no handle or lock on the front door, we called John on a Saturday afternoon. He was very kind and came over within 30 minutes. He worked on the mechanism of the door, found a way to use the existing parts to still make the thing work. And now, we don't have to replace the handle. He was very kind and knowledgeable and it is amazing that we could get him out on a weekend within 30 minutes and at a VERY reasonable price.
