Description of Work: B&B provided us with a preliminary design consultation + nursery consultation for plants choices. We then moved on to hiring them for producing a design for three sections of our front yard that we are having the lawn removed from. Design is great. Could not have asked for better. While they were hard to get an appointment (busy!) they were worth the wait. We will also be hiring B&B for the full installation of the yard, including decomposed granite, drip irrigation, and plants. Will update review with second part of project when complete.

+ 0 moreBarrels and Branches is a small independently-owned nursery in Encinitas. They sell a wide variety of plants and shrubs and also offer a full range of landscaping services. Initially we paid to have a one-hour consultation at our home to discuss what changes we wanted to make in our backyard; we then received a list of appropriate plants and suggested design. We then opted to pay to have a landscape plan done, which included a drawing showing selected plants and placement. We hired Barrels and Branches to do the work, rather than do it ourselves. The crew was expert and efficient in removing existing plants, laying flagstone and planting. They were always on time and the end result exceeded our expectations. Although we chose not to have an irrigation system, they can also install those. This is a wonderful nursery with a knowledgeable, professional staff.
