 + 0 moreI have been surprised a few times about how much (or little) gets done during a visit. The work is done carefully and with an eye to detail, which makes for better results, long term. I have had to request additional time be spent on several occasions to make sure that a project is completed in one visit, but that has been my choice and my additional expense. I currently pay for 2 hours of work to be completed every two weeks at a rate of $60/hour.
Description of Work: Four Dimensions Landscape Company has been maintaining my garden and lawn for several years now. They charge more than any other gardening service I have hired in the past, but they also have a knowledgeable team and understand pruning techniques, lawn care challenges, and emergency requests. For example, when one of our potted Sago Palms was sitting in water that would not drain, they came out in the rain and addressed the problem.

 + 3 moreWe were very happy working with Four Dimensions. They listened to our wish list and offered a design for replacing our lawn that was responsive but also included some creative elements we hadn't considered. One example is the infiltration basins they suggested that tie into our house downspouts; they will reduce flooding in big storms and also add some structural interest to the layout of the garden. They also effectively leveraged the existing hard scape to keep costs down. Demolition of the prior landscape and construction of the new was professional and responsive. When certain plants struggled to take hold in last winter's multiple frosts, they were quick to add more. We truly got the sense they wanted to work with us to achieve the outside landscape we would be happy with and the results this spring are extraordinary.
Description of Work: Full landscape remodel of front and back yard gardens in late 2013, including replacing lawns with native drip-system compatible plants, and installing flagstone patio.

 + -1 moreThey are very easy to communicate with and they make suggestions for things I could do to improve my lawn care. They try not to use very noisy or wild equipment they try to keep things very calm. I like that they try to avoid poisons they try to do the work by hand.
