We hired Ecology Air Innovations to move our AC unit from the back of our house to our side yard. It ended up costing $7000, took approximately a month to get done after contacting them, and we have had to have the unit serviced less than a year later. You can get the same work done for a lot less and not have to suffer their inflated prices and unprofessionalism. I reached out to get an itemized invoice for my records since ours only had a total price without a cost breakdown. Mark sent it with snarky notes, attacks on my intelligence, and name calling embedded in the invoice that I need to use in the records for my home run business. The invoice states: "Included in Above estimate!! for idiots who can't read." "We obviously didn't use the one you ran for your pool equipment." "The listed below is the itemized cost for whatever "project manager" is to ignorant to recognize from the previous invoice." He also appears to have been confused or just made up cost amounts up because the first itemized invoice sent to me had our electrical work at less than half of the actual cost which I corrected him on in text and then was sent an updated copy with the correct price.

Furnace tune-up was very professional. Jake arrived on time and was very efficient in his work. He found the capacitor was out of spec so I had that replaced. Very knowledgeable, I learned a lot about my furnace. We also discussed future options for going all electric.

Mark came out the day after I submitted an online request for an appointment. He was punctual and professional and explained everything he was doing. He had the part he needed in his truck, and he had my furnace up and running in no time. While he was here, he took a look at my air conditioner and informed me that it looked fine and was ready for the summer. These guys are honest and professional -- I was very happy with my experience.

Mark had called me because I had requested a quote for a service regarding my broken thermostat. I failed at installing a Nest thermostat. I turned off the wrong breaker and caused a spark. After installation, the unit was not receiving any power. I had a rival company quote me $85 for the service visit and potentially another $150 for a replacement transformer. Mark let me know that it was most likely a blown fuse that I could replace myself for a couple dollars. He instructed me that I would most likely have to just find my heater and find the panel with the blown fuse. I was surprised the they weren't trying to get some easy money and charge me for such an easy fix. Marc was right though. I was able to get into my attic and find the blown fuse. The fuse was less than $5 at an appliance repair store, and I was able to fix it myself! Based on this experience, I trust this company completely and will be going to them for any future needs. Marc seems to be an honest and experienced guy. For that reason, I think, they deserve your business. If you have a choice to go with this company or another for your repair, know that you'll be taken care of properly here.

I decided to go with Ecology Air Innovations after my 33 old HVAC system crapped out on me. They installed a brand new Trane two stage heat pump, variable speed air handler, and all new ducts. I had been looking into Trane equipment because, while a little more expensive, I wanted to go with something reliable and Trane is one of the best. I received multiple quotes on that type of equipment and Ecology Air Innovations beat everyone else's price by a mile. Mark, the owner of the company, initially responded to my request and responded back very quickly. He came out and gave me the estimate the next day. He was very professional and helped me answer any questions I had. Three of his employees came out to do the work the next week and finished the total install in two days. They were all very professional and polite. One final thing, I received a SMUD rebate with the new install that was only good through the end of the month, and I was doing this very last minute...Mark jumped through hoops for me to make sure all of the paperwork got submitted in time so that I received the rebate. I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend them!

awesome he gave me some great info about how old my existing system is and fixed it for this season at least. gives me time to come up with enough for a replacement. best service ever.

I called the number on Thursday July 18th to get service on my AC and got an automatic text reply from Mark. I told him what I needed and he said he may have an appointment for the following Monday. I gave him my address and didnt hear back. On Monday the 22nd I texted him again and asked if he still had an appointment available. Didnt hear back. Wednesday the 24th I called and left a message trying to figure out what exactly is happening at this point. It is now the 28th and I still have not heard back to get my ac looked at. I am currently trying to get my money back that I spent on this coupon. Very disappointed with the horrible communication.

Mark said he’d be out Monday between 2:30 and 4:30. Didn’t hear from him so I contacted him. Said he was running late and asked when I was available on Tuesday. I responded between 12:30 and about 6:00. Did not hear back from him. The next morning I contacted him again to see if he was coming that day. He replied he would be here between 12:30 and 1:00. When I did not hear from him again by 3:00, I called someone else who got here in 20 minutes, diagnosed the problem, went for parts and fixed the control board by 5:00. Mark has many good reviews and may be one of the best, but I didn’t get a chance to find out.

Great. Purchased the AC check coupon for $29, and they replaced the MERV filter. the other quote I got on this service was a minimum of $100.00 I recommend this company highly. They are more responsive and easier to get answers from the original AC installer I used (JR Putnam)

Great job. I found an honest and reputable company to work with. They fixed the issue and didn't try to upsell.

It went really well. I called them because the unit wasn't cooling. I had recently bought the house and had been warned during the home inspection that it would likely need service/work fairly soon (maybe replacement). Brad, the guy who came out, was very nice and efficient. He spent a long time--I would guess maybe 6-8 hours over two days (in blistering heat) diagnosing the problems and fixing them. When I said I REALLY didn't want to replace the whole system right now, he LISTENED and found a middle ground that has it working (and guaranteed) for two years, and includes two maintenance visits over the coming year. The office people were also great to work with, and I noticed that Brad called the boss a few times to check that he was giving us the best possible deal. I feel quite sure I will go back to Ecology Air in a few years when the time comes to change out the whole system.

Brad was terrific. He came and did an A/C tune up which cost $29.00 as well as a diagnostic test which cost $49.00 to determine why the AC wasn't blowing cold air. He discovered the capacitor was blown. He replaced the capacitor which cost $189.00 and the AC started blowing cold air.

The initial consultation went very well. They were the only contractor that actually went up into the attic to see the duct work and address the cooling problems that I was having in the house. They fixed the issues and now the house gets plenty of air everywhere! The new unit works great so far. I also had them install a whole house fan which they did a great job as well. Last summer, Ecology Air Innovations Inc did an excellent job of replacing my old HVAC system with the new system. Price point is very reasonable as compared to 4 other companies in town. Mark and Jake were punctual, knowledgeable and very competent. I waited 4 months to write a review to make sure of the results Overall, very satisfied with the service outcome. Highly recommended to anyone who have doubts with smaller local companies.

The whole process was competitive, professional and timely. Work was completed in one day. We are 100% satisfied. We highly recommended this company. :You wont be disappointed. WOW what a find.

The unit that was installed was defective so they worked with the manufacturer to get the problem fixed. When the issue arose again 3 months later, they insisted with the manufacturer to again fix the issue. Fast forward to one year later the issue CAME UP AGAIN. Ecology Air demanded that I get a new unit as it was clear that the first unit was faulty. They were successful in getting me a brand new unit. Well, fast forward a year again, the SAME ISSUE CAME UP. Ecology Air tried working with the manufacturer to have them give me yet again another unit. When this company was being jerks about it, Ecology Air went above and beyond and took the faulty unit off my roof and replaced it with a much better manufacturer at no charge to me. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. They really stand behind their customers and their best interests. They are extremely responsive to emails and texts and I would definitely recommend working with them 100%. Seriously hire this company you will not be disappointed.

It was great. They were very good. We were having that big heat wave and all of a sudden, our air conditioner quit. I called him and he called back that very day. He came out, I think that was a Friday, and he came out on Monday. It was fine. I was very pleased. Because we had extra work done, it cost more than the Big Deal purchase. It still cost us another $700-some. I have nothing to compare the price with, but we needed it fixed and they could do it right away. The quality, I would say, was great. The responsiveness was excellent. They were right here on time. Their professionalism was very good.

Update to previous review : After the no show on 8/1 and rescheduled appointment, Ecology provided diagnosis that AC condenser was shorted and need to be replaced. Left all wires disconnected and left. Another company, Service Champion, also diagnosed the system need to be replaced. However, the truth was, the fan motor was drawing excess current, an indication that motor failed. The failed fan motor did not perform its function to remove heat from the compressor causing the compressor to overheat. Compressor shuts off to protect itself. Along with Service Champion, Ecology Air Tech failed to detect the root cause of the issue and recommended system replacement. One of two possibilities: 1) Ecology Tech truthfully thought unit needs to be replaced because at the time, the compressor was shut down due to overheat. Therefore, not knowing the compressor was in shut down mode, the tech was incompetent. Or 2) The mis-diagnosis was intentional to sell a much more expensive solution - system replacement versus fan motor replacement, a 10x in gross revenue. Either way, it did not look good. Only consolation for Ecology is, another reputable company also performed at the same level as they did. So competition wasn't too stiff. Moral of the story? Get at least two other confirmations from different companies before springing for a new system. Hopefully, you will come across someone knowledgeable and honest enough to give you a straight answer. By the way, to Ecology's credit, they did reach out to try to "make things right". I am not sure what that meant, but they tried and it counts.

I called Ecology Air and had someone at my house within 2 hours. Mark came in with a tool bag and was all set to see how he could help - not sell. He talked to us, in laymens terms, about our options. None of which I wanted to do. I was grateful the unit had lasted the past 58 years. 58? yes, they knew how to build things back in the day. I said, "Mark, I'm a general contractor. I know how I talk to clients. And I know the difference between selling and being of service. You do too. How much for a complete unit and when can it be done?" His price was well below the fancy pants previous person. But honestly, that's not what sold me. It was his integrity that shone brighter than any glossy brochure. We had a new unit within 5 days. They are the Best!

Removal and replacement went well, a problem from another contractor has slowed completion. The unit works as promised and the install was done professionally with attention to detail. I would recommend them to anyone who needs competent and quick service.

From the in-home quote to the seamless installation, the owners and workmen went out of their way to make sure that the job was done to my satisfaction. The cost was very competitive. I definitely recommend using Ecology Air!

Well. One glitch in communication, but promptly fixed.

After investigating the error code they found a number of serious issues that were missed by several other HVAC techs (not to mention the tech from 'All Tech Services' who refused to look at my furnace because because it was in my attic). Unfortunately, the errors meant I needed a new furnace and AC unit in a house I was renting to tenants during an unusually cold winter three weeks before Christmas. EAS understood the issue with my tenants and worked to move up the repair work and were they 30-40% cheaper than my other bids. Plus, everything they did assured me they did the job RIGHT. They explained why they selected the specific system they did based on my home's unique requirements, performed a quick, professional installation with exceptional attention to detail, and even recycled all of the old scrap metal. Furthermore, they explained all the local codes and what was needed to pass inspection, pulled all the appropriate permits, ordered all the correct tests to pass inspection, and explained how to schedule the inspection. When the inspectors came I passed the first time with no issue at all. On top of all that, they were always polite, respected my home, and were always on time. I cannot recommend them more highly.
