Let me start by saying that I had read some Yelp reviews about men salesmen being dismissive to women. I experienced NONE of that! I was upfront from the beginning with our salesman, Ron, that I would be the frontperson for this whole deal since I stay at home and deal with our home's functions. NO PROBLEM WHAT-SO-EVER!!! I have not encountered any push-back from ANYONE! So, if you read those reviews, you can be put to ease with the Elk Groove office. We originally signed our contract with Ron in 2015. The roof had to be redone before we could install the panels. We also had to have a major addition to the house added before we could do the roof! Needless to say, after unforeseen delays, we did not have the panels installed until May of 2017. Future Energy (FE) was EXCELLENT to work with, given ALL of the delays. They were patient. Of course, in December 2016 I received a letter from MID stating that the panels had to be up and running, having passed inspections, by June 30 in order for us to be able to be in Phase 1 or we would have to re-apply for Phase 2 (some MID thing). We hustled to get our construction and roof done and FE did an AMAZING job at having everything on their end coordinated to meet the deadline. We were up and running May 26! Also, in case you're wondering, dealing with financing - hands down the easiest financing set-up in my life! Everything online and painless. Since connecting our service I had a few questions about the running of the system. At one point I even thought there was a problem with the panels! FE was prompt in returning my call. (But to put your mind at ease, rarely have I not been able to speak to a person.) Turns out there was no problem with the panels. I really enjoy the website that allows me to check on our PV production. Informative! I would in a heartbeat hire FE to install our panels. They have been patient, professional, courteous, clean on the job, helpful and available when I need them - if not immediately, promptly. Without hesitation I recommend FE to solar panel installation!

Everything went as promised. Installation was quick and easy in one day. Love the phone app - being able to monitor my usage on the phone. From our experience all facets of Future Energy was great - the representatives spent time to explain in language that made it easy to understand. I like that the panels are made in the USA not in China. They also have a fantastic warranty. I've only had it for 3 weeks and haven't got my first Edison bill yet but from the monitoring it looks like all is going well.

DO NOT PICK THIS COMPANY - FUTURE ENERGY SAVERS. Pick ANY other company, you will save roughly 10-15 thousand dollars and they will be superior in every way. You will avoid the headaches, arguments, lack of knowledge, false advertising, and manipulative nature of how FES promises you features at signing but not tell you that they do not offer it or charge extra it’s too late, you already paid them for the system. May 20, Dale came by our house and went over everything that we need, after some calculations, he set a 4kW system for us. He explained all the features that FES gives. He knew the products so we knew they would take care of us. He mentioned FES customer service is 2nd to none when compared to other companies and gave us the Ambassador Program since we are a returning customer. Dale promised us a worry-free system from FES so we went into contract: • Active/Live solar production monitoring; Micro-inverter monitoring; Quick turn arounds on repairs because of 30-year warranty; FES monitoring my system for quick resolutions of issues; Ability to use my system from day one; Great customer service, quality parts and installation He confirmed we will get all these as part of the system. Wife and I discussed and both agreed that this was a good choice. We would spend more time with family and less on the system (my son is Autistic). June 2, FES calls to install the system so I took the day off. Once the system was installed and turned on, the installers let us know that we can start using the system from here on end. June 9, FES inspector comes by to check the system installation so I took that day off. He told us that the system works fine, we’re good to keep using it, SMUD should be done in another week. July 6, SMUD installs their Meter and lets me know to turn our Solar to use. I was confused as I was told that it’s already on. Dale, 2 installers and pre-inspection person stated: We would be able to use our system from day one install. There was no mention of the system being off. I called Rob, tech person, about why it was not Energized. He said it was turned off June 9, the day the inspection person came. He turned it off and told us that we can keep using it. It was off for almost 1 month and no one in FES knew. Where was this live monitoring that FES does? Where is the customer service that FES was to provide? If the system is off, there will be a notification to FES about it not working! I had to manually energize it while on the phone. System was up but wasn’t working properly when checked online. Production and consumption charts were wrong. It was showing Solar production at 1 AM. Called FES on and they couldn’t figure it out but could see it was happening from the day one until turned off and again when turned back on. They knew this but didn’t come to fix it? What in the **** did I pay this company for? Contacted FES again and complained that we paid so much money and got ripped off. I wanted to speak to a Manager or the Owner. Got a call from Mitch and started talking about my issues. Gave him proof on normal system costs per industry standard. SMUD shows the cost for Solar on their site and building permit shows my system value. Mitch comes back with the salesman pitch comparing FES to a Mercedes dealership. He was forgetting that FES has provided me ZERO world class, sorry Mercedes class customer service. They provided me mediocre at best service. I gave him a list of issues that I’ve been having and told him that this is not what I paid for. Where is what was promised? I requested FES compensate me for ignoring what was part of the contract by adding 8-10 panels. After a week, they came back with 2 more panels to compensate. I was shocked, hesitantly said yes on the phone but spoke to my wife and she said no. We are not taking 2 panels, that’s an insult. They lied to us, charged us $14,000+ more than others, didn’t provide what was said, caused us frustration every day and now are “giving” 2 panels to make it all better? I emailed FES within a few hours to let Mitch know that we don’t agree, it’s not the compensation we wanted. He called back and said that they would not give me anything now because we are wanting too much, he will only honor the original contract. Honor the original contract? You haven’t delivered ANYTHING that was promised! I told Mitch about how Dale sold me on all these things, he said the equipment was new and they aren’t trained up on it. THEN WHY DID YOU SEND HIM TO ME? You sent untrained reps to me, told me items will be delivered and when it’s not, say they aren’t trained? If they would have been honest, I would have gone with someone else. You falsified your promises, took my money and caused us frustrated, emotional distress and time away from my son. FES have finally fixed most of the issues that I have complained about since day one but they have not compensated me for anything. DO NOT CHOOSE FES, you will regret it.

In this world of compromise, it’s really nice to be able to write a positive review for something! We had a very good experience with Future Energy Savers solar company, from the initial contact to the final wrap-up interview. The doorbell solicitor was knowledgeable, polite and articulate, and convinced me that I should learn more about solar energy. He arranged a meeting for us with a manager in the company, (recently at the Elk Grove office but now in southern California) who knew the local weather and city ordinances in our area. He explained in detail the solar equipment Future would install: superior panels made in Oregon that are guaranteed for 30 years, the state-of-the-art inverter (the device that converts the DC current from the panels to AC current), and how the solar power interfaces with the existing power company energy. He studied our PG&E bill to understand our energy use and recommended a We had a very good experience with Future Energy Savers solar company, from the initial contact to the final wrap-up interview. He explained in detail the solar equipment Future would install: superior panels made in Oregon that are guaranteed for 30 years, the state-of-the-art inverter (the device that converts the DC current from the panels to AC current), and how the solar power interfaces with the existing power company energy. He studied our PG&E bill to understand our energy use and recommended a smaller solar unit than we had expected. He described the installation events that would take place and detailed the tax rebate and financing options available to us. Our financial situation was somewhat unusual, but the company went out of its way to find a method that worked for everyone and saved us considerable money. The manager clearly knew the business and was very constructive in helping us decide how to proceed. We appreciated his factual, low-pressure approach. The installation itself occurred within the week! Advance measurements (roof space, neighboring trees and sun angle, etc.) took about an hour. The electrician and panel mounting crew were excellent, congenial and polite, and completed their work in one morning from 7 AM until noon. They were always available to answer questions and cleaned up after themselves. The electrician had to crawl through our dusty and awkwardly low attic twice to securely install the main power cable; each time he even offered to vacuum the little bit of dust he brought down into the hallway. The panels worked perfectly from the first day. The slow part of the entire installation process was getting the city to inspect the work, and PG&E and the solar energy managing company to complete their functions. It was very helpful that Future Solar had one of their representatives present whenever there were dealings with the city, PG&E, or the solar energy management company, Enphase Enlighten. After the system had been operating for a month or so, Future scheduled a very thorough final review to be sure all the details had been covered. The installation was complete and fully operational on March 22, 2017. Electricity savings were immediate. The table below compares our electricity costs for April, May and June of 2016 with our first three months of solar operation in 2017. April May June 2016 $ 62.64 $ 50.17 $ 89.59 Before Solar 2017 $ 10.51 $ 9.86 $ 9.53 With Solar % Savings 83.3% 80.3% 89.4% At this point, it appears the system generated more electricity than we needed, but the system is correctly sized to account for winter months when we will not generate as much as we need because less sunlight is available. Bottom line: We strongly recommend Future Energy Savers solar. We are very happy with the solar generating system they installed. The panels they use are superior quality, made in the US, very efficient and attractive, and come with a 30-year guarantee. And the company people are competent and pleasant to work with. Future Energy Savers made it possible for us achieve our goal to acquire the affordable energy we need without harming the environment in the process. And the $17,000 cost was mitigated by potential tax credits upcoming at tax time. We were very pleased!
Description of Work: Future Solar designed and installed a residential solar energy system. The company assessed feasibility and then designed and installed a 3-kilowatt residential solar energy system consisting of 11 SolarWorld panels and 11 Enphase M250 micro inverters, associated wiring and control panels. The company scheduled and handled all interactions with PG&E (power grid), Enphase Enlighten cellular solar interface, city inspection rituals, and trouble-shooting (which was minimal).

Our experience was pleasant from the beging. We have always contemplated going solar and with all the PG&E changes to engergy consumption, well that was helping us lean toward solar and with having a hobby like I have, well it was time. So as we were at a home and garden show we stopped by a few companies and then rolled the dice on future solar, Dale was very informative with all questions we had and provided quality friendly service. With everything in motion and the install complete (recommend doing a walk through after install is complete, I found that my motion sensor lights had been broken, still work but cannot reposition. Minor but would've appreciated if I was told.) entire team was outstanding and friendly. We thank everyone for all they have done and with the first months down we have seen a decrease in our electric bill, our layout is great enough to give us a little more then required or consumed.

My wife and I had been considering going solar since we purchased our new home in 2015. We were approached by a couple pushy solar companies to the point of giving up until we ran into a sales associate from Future Energy. The associate was informative and answered some of our tougher question making the decision to add solar to our home a little easier. It was only a few weeks from the time we spoke to our sales associate until all the panels were installed on the roof. The installation process only took a few hours. The installers very respectful of our property and house, they cleaned up as if they were never there. They want over the complete operation and maintenance of the system. We are very happy with the installation and Future Energy. We received a $500 rebate from SMUD and we will be receiving $500 rebate from Future Energy Savers for being a part of the ambassador program. Mr. & Mrs. Woods

We recently had a Future Energy Savers (FES) solar system installed on our home in January, 2017, in order to offset the future potential rate hikes from PG&E, just one week after signing the contract. The FES representative who first explained the FES solar system to us was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions, which were many. The installers were very friendly and installed the solar system in less than one day, even replacing some of our cracked concrete roof tiles. There were no leaks in our roof associated with the installation, including after the violent rain storms during the months following the installation. FES took care of obtaining the building permit and coordinating with our HOA. We are so far very satisfied with the FES solar system, and how it was installed. We look forward to saving a lot of money on our PG&E electric bills, which was the main reason for having the solar system installed in the first place. We would recommend the FES solar system with the California manufactured solar panels to anyone. Sincerely, Victor and Cheryl Swift Auburn, CA

Sales consult was honest, efficient and to the point. Office staff handled everything; permits, inspection even HOA approval. All I had to do was sign a couple of items. Installation was GREAT! I was worried about the aesthetics; they cut no corners running wiring through the attic to diminish the appearance and also took the extra time to paint any conduit to match the home. Made in the USA, 30 year roof and panel warranty, no subcontractors, fair price and great customer support! 24/7 online monitoring and even an app if you have an Android or iPhone!

It didn't affect the electric bill. The first one was a little too small. It was significantly less because they didn't put the conduit and wires. It was already wired. They just plugged it in. It sure got everything done. We got a monthly bill of zero. Most of the time, the bill is probably about $25 to $35 a month during the summer. I would give them an A+. We called them and they got it all setup. They were there the next day. They're efficient. I can see a difference on my bill but it doesn't tell you how much goes in it by minute or the energy being produced. They're a little more expensive than the others but they use high quality electrical parts.
Description of Work: I had them come back and put 5 more panels. At first, they did the 16 and the second group was 5. We're losing some energy with the light. They were on their way to fix that. They replaced the box that's in the garage. They plugged it in to the router to pick up the signal and deliver it to us.

Good company, no issues with the job. The only issue I had is their marketing team kept calling me between the initial contact and the time the job was complete. They kept asking if I had wanted to schedule an appointment. The salesperson I spoke with said they were having problems with their database leads. Also little bit on the pricey side, but I overall recommend.

We had two separate sales meetings with a company sales consultant. In response to my request, he promised to return with more information after the first meeting, but during the second meeting he was still unable to offer much detail concerning the size of the system required to achieve the energy savings we desired, the specific system components that would be supplied, or a recommended site plan for the installation. He did offer a "model home" incentive as part of his pressure to sign a contract, and claimed this was a very limited one-time offer. However, two of my neighbors were offered the same incentive, and the sales consultant claimed to be unaware of those deals. Subsequent e-mails after the meetings produced a bit more detail concerning the system components, but also pressure to sign the contract. We were unable to get any site planning done unless we signed a contract. In my opinion, the equipment being offered is of very good quality, and my neighbors with similar installations have been satisfied with its performance, however the price charged for a "3 KW system" is about 3 times the retail cost of the equipment alone, and was among the highest bids that I have obtained. We simply chose not to use this company and will continue to search for better value.

The salesman was running late so he called us to let us know when he expected to be to our home. The engineer who decided where to install the panels on the roof came when he was scheduled to come. The panels were installed on the installation day as scheduled. The only problem we had was with the City of Lodi. Due to the City of Lodi losing the paperwork Future Energy had sent to them, they turned the system off. When they found the paperwork and re-activated the system, the usage meter Future Energy had installed in the house didn't work. When they were told about the problem, they came out and relocated it in the garage. Then, they came out to the house again to verify that it was working properly. They were very responsive to all of our phone calls.
