Culligan

Installed water softener for me and do regular maintenance on it. They do a great job.

It went great. Was a simple inspection when we bought the house from another family.

First, a Culligan representative came to our house to assess our needs and inform us of our options. He was very informative and explained our system options very clearly and in detail. He also explained our options for where the water softener could be installed and the respective advantages and disadvantages. There was no sales pressure of any kind and he certainly didn't try to sell us more than we needed. He seemed genuinely interested in saving us money. When we decided what we wanted, Culligan scheduled an installation time that met our needs. When the installers arrived a few days later, they worked quickly and efficiently. They gave us more advice regarding the best specific location for the softener (a spot in our garage with good access and minimal interference with car parking, storage, etc.) and they ran most of the plumbing through the garage attic where it was out of sight. The system has worked flawlessly ever since installation. Our only complaint is a very minor one and is the only reason we assigned a B grade for "Responsiveness" - without telling us, Culligan gave us the responsibility to schedule a final city inspection. We only learned about it when we received a letter from the city. The inspection itself took less than a minute and the softening system easily passed, but we felt that the contractor should normally arrange for inspections. All in all though, we would definitely recommend Culligan to anyone who needs a water softener.

The technician arrived within the appointed window but seemed late because he had to attend an office meeting prior to going out to do his installations. He was very nice and courteous but I would have appreciated a call letting me know of the delayed arrival time. He hauled in all of the necessary tools and equipment and seemed to work efficiently but the job took a lot longer than I had anticipated as I had an afternoon appointment that I began to worry about as the morning progressed. I tried to give him enough advance notice, that I had to leave, to allow him to finish the complete installation. The job was completed with very little time to spare but was done in a neat, professional way.
