Description of Work: I was brand new to Angie's List and exploring when I came across a promotion for canned lights. I knew I would be remodeling my bathroom and would need the light, so, I purchased the coupon. For various reasons, I will not be able to remodel anytime in the near future. I was not aware when I purchased the coupon that the service had to be completed within 3 months.

Description of Work: Installed and moved 2 ceiling fans.

Description of Work: Had a ceiling fan and box installed in the guest bedroom. They showed up on time and were very professional and quick. The fan I purchased was defective and they weren't sure when they would be able to return to install a new fan. Since I had scheduling issues, one of them gave me his number and said he'd be willing to come back after he was off work. I was so impressed. Ultimately I was able to obtain a new fan while they waited and it was installed. The work ended up costing more than I thought when I first purchased the deal but that is because I needed a box installed. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend.

Description of Work: It was difficult to reach Charles Young. Once I did reach him, his attitude was less than enthusiastic. For example, he did not want to preview the job and give me an estimate because, in his words, "at 13 miles to the gallon for my diesel truck, we're not going to make 2 trips." He also said "he would send his team out when they had other work in my area." I would prefer to work with a company that puts the needs of their customer first. I was concerned that once they were there and gave me an estimate, it would be more than I needed to pay but would feel obligated to use them because I purchased the Big Deal. It's not a deal if you get poor customer service. I cancelled the purchase.

Description of Work: The electrician's installed 6 can lights in my family room and were very efficient and good about taking my wishes into account. The result is very professional looking and a wonderful addition to our home. I'm fairly well versed in what was needed in addition to what they provided (with respect to hardware and what kind of light bulbs I could use), but someone less familiar with electric wiring, outlets, and switches might not have achieved as good a result. I paid for an additional circuit and bought the appropriate switches prior to installation. You might need to do some homework and legwork to understand what you can achieve.

Description of Work: I ended up having them put in recessed lighting in my kitchen and it turned out awesome. The three guys that worked on the job were friendly and knowledgeable. I got exactly what I paid for and I will use them again.

Description of Work: The service was not performed. I am asking for a refund without using the electrical services. This project is too complicated and will be twice as expensive.

Description of Work: We had two kitchen outlets that were not working, so I called Charles Young Electric this morning to see if they could come and give me an estimate. Charles told me he had two crew members heading to Elk Grove and could be there within 2 hours. Mark arrived just short of 2 hours and began working on the outlets. David arrived a few minutes later and assisted Mark. They were both very pleasant, worked quickly, and repaired the outlets for me. They sort of gave me a play by play on what they were doing and how they attached the wires differently from the original wires (our home is 24 years old) and told me what had happened to cause the problem. They were both very professional and I will certainly call them again for any future electric work in our home. (They even honored the Angie's list coupon, even though I was unable to print it on my new computer.) Thanks Mark and David!

Description of Work: Charles Young Electric's crew of tiwo arrived on time. They installed 4 ceiling fans. I had a fan that was not working and he troubleshot it for me. It turned out it had died and while they were working I went to the local hardware store and purchased another. He installed the new one and it works fine. They were very nice and cleaned up after themselves. I will definitely call this company again should I need electrical work in the future.

Description of Work: Used Angie's deal for ceiling fan installation. Charles and his associate installed small ceiling fan (my purchase) where there had been a light fixture. They both were friendly and worked quickly. I have used Charles' service in the past and most definitely will call upon him if I need any other electrical services.

Description of Work: We needed a separate circuit added to our breaker box to power new equipment for my daughter's art studio. The electrician arrived on time and worked steadily. He ran a new circuit enclosed in tubing from the breaker box in our garage to her 2nd floor studio along the exterior of the house. He connected it to a new outlet he installed in her studio. He did a beautiful job (neat and tidy) and the circuit works beautifully. She and we are very pleased with his work!

Description of Work: I had a $99 coupon for 2 hours of electrical. I bellieve the job took @ 3 hours. Charles and assistant had to dig up old rusted piping and electrical wiring from backyard, along with removing the old electrical box. i paid an additional $185 (included 10% discount) to cover the additional time and cost of materials. The box they installed is weather proof, grounded and has two outlets and a cover, which has the option to be punched out at the bottom for continual electrical use such as a hot tub. They cleaned up after the job was done. Explained things to me. Were friendly and professional. I have since bought another coupon for a fan replacement.
