+ -1 moreWe have been working on this fixer-upper for 9 years and have quadrupled the value. Most of the work has been done by us with some profession trades people from time to time. In these 9 years the floor installation was among the most expensive single job and as it turned out one of the best in terms of quality of workmanship, skill, professionalism, responsiveness to issues. A team of 4 including the owner worked M-F for 4 weeks. This was a big job with some very tricky aspects and they stayed with it. I'm sure others would have done it faster and I know others would have done it for less, but I'm glad we were patient and allowed them to take the time to do a perfect job.
Description of Work: Approximately 1500 square feet of Maple engineered floor (Magestic) installed. Floor was nailed over crawlspace and glued over slab portion of home. Included floor prep, 1/2 inch plywood underlayment, moisture barrier, and most importantly... daily supervision of the work by the owner.

+ -1 moreOUR FLOORS ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. THE STAIRS WERE REINFORCED WITH 2 X 4'S AND THE WORKMANSHIP IS SPECTACULAR. I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY IN THE PAST AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHER PEOPLE. THEY SHOWED UP AT MY HOUSE EVERYDAY FOR 2 WEEKS UNTIL ALL OF MY FLOORS WERE LAID OUT AND THEN RETURNED TO SAND, STAIN AND POLYURETHANE WHILE WE WERE ON VACATION. THEY WORKED AROUND OUR SCHEDULE WHICH MADE IT A LOT EASIER.
Description of Work: INSTALL TWELVE TREADS AND RISERS, DOWNSTAIRS LANDING, ENTRANCE, HALLWAY, LIVING ROOM, DINING, KITCHEN WITH 3/4'X 2 1/4 QUARTERSAWN WOOD. SAND AND REFINISH WITH ONE STAIN AND TWO COATS OF POLYURETHANE SATIN OIL BASE. ALSO, REMOVE EXISTING TILE, CARPET, LAY DOWN NEW PLYWOOD ON DOWNSTAIRS LANDING AND ENTRANCE.

+ -1 moreTHE WORK WAS DONE ON TIME. GREAT CARE TO CONTAIN THE DUST WAS GIVEN. THERE WAS GREAT HELP IN COLOR/STAIN CHOICE. THEY WERE WELL SUPERVISED BY THE OWNER.
