 + -1 moreIt was great. Mark came and assessed the situation. He was frank about how busy the crew was because of all the drought stressed trees that were falling with all the rain we had. None the less he knew that the work needed to be done or we'd have a big problem. The crew came the next day and removed the most crucial parts of the tree which meant our garage would be safe until they could come back to remove the trunk. They cut, chipped, loaded, and cleaned up in record time and with great courtesy and respect for our property and our neighborhood.
Description of Work: We needed emergency removal of a tree during a very wet winter-to-spring season.

 + -1 moreMack Tree Co is professional and has a great crew. They get in, get the job done, and they don't destroy your yard in the process. They were VERY careful with where they walked and carried branches out. They were efficient and didn't take longer than necessary. They are also competitively priced.
Description of Work: Cut down a dead redwood, cut a branch off of black walnut, and removed an ash tree, including stump.

Description of Work: He did two different projects. He removed a pine tree for me and at my daughter's house, he removed a tree and trimmed other trees. He did a lot of ground cleaning.

Description of Work: We needed a large liquid amber removed from our front yard because its roots had spread and become invasive. Mack did a good job of cutting down the tree and removing that and the middle, main part of the root system. But they did bot dig out or grind the big roots that where within 20 feet of the center nor grind down and get rid of the core of the roots below where the trunk had been (the subsequent landscaper ended up doing those before putting in the new landscaping.)

 + -1 moreA full crew came with cherry picker and chipper. The forman pruned the exterior limbs of the tree and another worker climbed into the interior of the tree and cleaned out the canopy. Two others hauled branches to the chipper. In a little over two hours, the work was done, and the result is very much to our liking with a nicely shaped tree. While doing the pruning, they asked that I be available, and whenever there was a question about how extensive a cut should be made they checked with me. The trimmings were completely cleaned up before they left. Their work was done professionally and promptly. I will use them again if we have tree work needed and am happy to heartily recommend them to others.
Description of Work: We have a 33-year old Liquidamber (Sweet Gum) tree in our front yard that had never been pruned. It provides great shade and fall color, but it simply had outgrown the yard and was a potential problem for storm damage. We called several tree companies but did not get much interest, seemingly because of the relatively small size of the job. Jon from Mack Tree Company returned our call in the evening after I left a message on their answering machine. He was out the next day to do estimate the job, and a written estimate arrived the day after. When I gave them the verbal go-ahead on the job, they said it would be about two weeks until they would be able to prune the tree. Two weeks later to the day, the work was done. We were concerned that the work be done by someone who truly knew what they were doing. Mack Tree's advertisements said they were both California licensed and cerrtified arborists. I confirmed on the respective websites that that is actually the case, and it is.
