H & R PLUMBING & DRAIN CLEANING

Horacio and crew are to be highly commended on their level of commitment and professionalism. I was caught with a nasty sewer backup on a late Friday afternoon and called H&R one minute before their closing time. Horacio came out right after hours and accessed my situation. He quoted competitively and the work was done immediately (even working Saturday) as the county permit process allowed. Horacio quoted a price and keep to it, no grief, no surprises. The plumber they sent out didn't seem very interested in doing much of anything-he couldn't find the main clean-out valve, and had no other suggestions for how to solve the problem. Basically, it was clear he just wanted to charge us $55 for the service call and leave. Total ripoff.

Worst home improvement experience I ever had! Don't let this plumber in your house! I got second opinions on the work performed, and other plumbers said that based on the pipe's condition after removal the whole pipe should have been replaced, the dirt underneath the slab should have been allowed to dry, and fresh dirt should have been put in before topping off with fresh concrete. Additionally, they never confirmed that the rest of the pipe wasn't leaking. When I complained to H&R Plumbing about all the issues, they removed the dirt and cracked pipe from the crawl space, but said they it was our responsibility to dispose of. At this point, I felt they were completely incompetent and I found a new plumber who corrected the problem. We found a new plumber who told us that H&R plumbing had not connected the new pipe to the old pipe correctly and water was leaking from the connection. The new plumber replaced the entire pipe, let the dirt dry, and put fresh dirt in before topping off with concrete which was completely dry after a week. Additionally they disposed of all the debris that resulted from the job.
