My previous painter left me with a very inconsistent job. The Brannick & Assoc. guys where amazing. They showed up exactly on time. Polite, clean painter's whites, they walked around the house with me as I showed them what I needed. They made suggestions as to where to start and got to work. Not only did they complete the projects I had requested , but also some additional trim and touch up that I never thought they would have time for. These guys did a fantastic job, highly recommended. I wish I had hired them to begin with.

Patrick was very prompt in responding to my request for a bid to paint and repair my house and garage. His price was in the right range and I was impressed with his description of how he would perform the work required i.e. stucco and concrete repair, exterior painting of the house and garage, and some repair to the wood on the garage shed. We agreed on terms and he left some suggested color pallettes for me to look at. The work started more quickly than I thought due to a delay in another job he had. My inital color choices were not quite what I wanted. Patrick was very helpful in suggesting subtle changes to the pallette that turned out to be beautiful and just what I wanted...he was very patient. There was more wood damage than I anticipated on the garage shed. Patrick negotiated a reasonable increase in repair charges with his subcontractor and the work continued. The workers that were at my house were hard working, very polite, and cleaned up as they worked. I never came home to a mess. There was no damage to my yard or property when the work was completed. Even my neighbors commented on their work ethic. I love the way my home looks and enjoyed working with Patrick and his crew.

Patrick and his crew were extremely professional and worked hard from day one until the last day the job was completed. Since we were having the entire interior of our house painted it was decided to have Patrick and his team work while we were away on vacation. We got a couple of phone calls for clarification and when we returned the interior painting was complete and beautifully done. Patrick made sure they did the interior work first before moving to the exterior work so when we got back the impact on us would be less. I found him to be very thoughtful of our time and space. We added in lots of smaller jobs and changes as the time went along and Patrick just went with it. As a result our home looks beautiful and the exterior is ready for the winter rains. I plan on having Patrick and his crew to do some more work in the spring. I would highly recommend Brannick & Associates for any of your painting needs.
Description of Work: Interior painting, wood work repair and replacement, furniture painting, exterior window wood work and replacement as well as sealing and painting. Also, Patrick is excellent at color consultation and recommendations.

Patrick's staff were always on time, hard working, and friendly, and Patrick was also a great help in choosing colors and sheens. Patrick's contractor colleague (Carlos from MG Home Renovations) also helped us complete the job by fixing previous, improperly installed window trim pieces, and a bathroom window. These were noticed mid-work stream, and Patrick was willing to hault the painting work to let Carlos do the repairs needed, and then came back to finish up. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you want a QUALITY paint job that will LAST.
Description of Work: Exterior painting was done in a legally approved/environmentally safe manner given my 1938 home had original lead paint. Any home constructed before 1978 must be treated as if it has lead paint. Don't let the cheap painters fool you into not properly managing the lead hazzards and performing the work without proper lead abatement gear. It is not only dangerous, but also against EPA rules. I will also note that the work included refinishing my iron railing, steps, trim and TWO coats of primer after the scraping/sanding was done, and a coat of exterior paint -- all three coats tinted the color of my choice.

The owner was very professional and good to work with. The coupon is for getting there foot in the door. So it's good not to expect the coupon price to be the final cost. Paint and extra work will cost extra. Overall they did the job I wanted and he arrived and finished when he said he was. That I liked when one is in time management mode. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Brannick put a coupon out for 199.00 for painting for a day. The coupon was good for 1 man for any paint job. The job was to paint the exterior of my cottage. 2 men were used, one man at regular price and the other at coupon price. They did a great job. I prepared the walls for painting to save money.

Brannick is the owner. We just signed the contract yesterday. The work is not scheduled to happen until the last week of September. The estimate was free. They responded promptly, and their prices were reasonable. They have offered full service so that we don't have to worry about getting in some kind of a handyman to do anything when it is all over.

We are considering hiring him; we are just not ready to do it yet, we are about a year out. He was very nice and very professional. He was very responsive.
Description of Work: We got an estimate from Brannick and Associates Painting Services for exterior painting. He was going to power wash the entire exterior. It was an older house so he was going to treat everything for lead. He was going to seal the windows and sand down all the surfaces. He was going to prime with one coat and complete all repairs. He was going to apply one coat of latex paint.

We first spoke with Patrick about the exterior work. He was prompt in his response and detailed in his bid. In his walk through he made a number of suggestions which were very helpful. He clearly knows his stuff. Patrick's bid was not the lowest, but it was close and since he seemed thorough and knowledgeable, we elected to work with him. During the project there were a number of rainy days. Rather than rush the project to completion, Patrick came by repeatedly to take moisture measurements of the fence and gate before painting. This extended the project, but gave us a better, longer-lasting finish and we appreciated both his patience and professionalism in proceeding this way. On the interior work, Patrick's team was detailed and thorough, did excellent cleanup and replaced everything exactly as they found it. We are happy customers and planning to work with Patrick again.

Patrick Brannick and his cheerful crew of painters did an excellent job of painting my house. The original paint job was botched, requiring Patrick to set and caulk nails and siding seams. I was extremely impressed by the workmanship, attention to detail, and positive attitude of the painters. Brannick was very responsive to my requests. His work was done on time, the crew cleaned up properly, and the cost was within the estimate.

After he found out that I was not interested in doing a lot of extra work for the $3000 price tag, his attitude changed dramatically and did not want to do the work. He was offensive and insulting. He was very abrasive and rude about whether the coupon was even valid or not. He did not like the fact that I had gotten other estimate sat a lower cost and insinuated that those painters were unlicensed, illegal immigrants. After the fact, he did send me an email apologizing for his behavior and for offending me.
Description of Work: I had the worse experience with him. I purchased a Big Deal for $199 for a professional painter for a day. We spoke on the phone, he came for an estimate for the job, and was very candid in saying that the reason they participate in Big Deals is to get more work. His quote was about 3 times over others I'd received.

I have never worked for this people. They called me and requested an estimate for painting work which I completed immediately. After the first estimate I was called back again to provide a second estimate for other rooms in their home which I completed at their convenience. After the second estimate they scheduled us to complete the work. We showed up to complete the work on the day and time that they scheduled with all of our necessary equipement. To our surprise we were not able to work due to the fact that their large driveway on a hill was filled with wet concrete and the house was inaccessible. We were turned away without so much as an apology for all of our wasted time and money. The following day I was informed that they no longer wanted us to complete the work. In the end I made 3 trips to their home to provide different estimates for them. I also showed up on time to with my workers to complete the work that they mis-scheduled. I was never compensated for any of my time and most importantly DID NOT complete ANY work for them. It mistifies me that someone is reviewing us when we never even worked for them. I have been painting since 1986 and I have never come across such a client. It was almost like it was a game to them. They had us complete multiple estimates changing the specifications multiple times, scheduled the work and then cancelled at the last minute. After all this they have a problem with me??? We were never compensated for any of our time. Please take a few moments to read all of our reviews from people we actually worked for and you will see a true representation of our company.

Overall, it took a little longer than expected, but the unexpected carpentry work is what held up the painting. Once the carpentry work was completed, which was also done well, there were painters pulled from another job to make sure my job was finished as quickly as possible. They don't hesitate to do what it takes to get the job done as quickly as they can. I appreciated that a lot.
Description of Work: Painted the exterior of my 2-story house and the underneath of the patio cover. We discussed which areas would be what color and he even suggested other options to help me decide. They power-washed, sanded and patched any necessary areas before painting began. Carpenty work involved replacing rotted wood paneling and beams upstairs in front of the house. The finishing coat over the paint really helps to make it look like new.

Patrick Brannick came out promptly to give me a proposal on a complete interior paint jog for a 3000 square foot house with 10 foot ceilings, crown molding in every room, and a lot of door and window work. His price was competitive with other quotes received. His four man crew was punctual and professional. They definitely took the time to prep appropriately by filling, sanding, priming. They took care to protect the floors and took the time to remove hardware, lighting fixtures, etc. to do the job right. It was a big multi-week job and it turned out beautiful. I would hire them again without hesitation.

I would use Patrick again and recommend him to others. Patrick was how I would like all of my contractors to behave: Professional, with clear expectations, and in good communication even on this (very) small job.His price was below the quote from the team that painted my whole place. Any reservations? No, but if you push me on discrepancies from perfections I can find two nits. 1) The errors in the wall were corrected, but you can still see some of the imperfections. I am pretty picky about this stuff, but it is OK with me. There is not so much to complain about on a well-executed small job. 2) Touch-ups were necessary and they used the wrong color on these touch-ups. Specifying the wrong touch-up color was 100% my mistake, but if I am looking for something to complain about, they could have noticed this and tried the other can that I had left. I am happy with the result. I feel comfortable recommending Patrick to my friends for even larger jobs.

I purchased a "$199 for a Professional Painter for a Day" deal from Angie's list for this company. Patrick came to my home to look at the job and give me an idea as to what they would do. He explained about a couple of areas on the wall that needed to be patched and how it would be done. I knew what colors I wanted and he purchased the paint. There was a small area of trim that needed to be painted and he even had some of his personal paint used to do it rather than charge me for a whole can of paint. We agreed on a date and time that was within a reasonable period and worked with my schedule. His men came exactly on time and were very considerate about my home. When they left everything was put away and put back. I have a piece of metal sculpture that hangs in the stairway and they were kind enough to re-hang for me; something that they were not required to do. The work was done very well; the best painting experience I have ever had. It was a very enjoyable experience. I have several areas in my home that will need to be painted in the next year or so and I will certainly call Brannick.

As was my first experience with Patrick, he provided me a gratis color consultation which was simply invaluable. He recommended that I paint the two rooms, which were adjacent, two different, but subtle shades of a beautiful green. Additionally, he suggested and executed painting an inset arch in my dining room, a darker shade of green, which created a depth and a focal point which did not exist before. The color was the perfect choice for my home based upon it's age, furnishings and rugs, and transition to the color of my kitchen. The work was scheduled and executed within one week. The two painters, Antonio and Jose, are absolutely top notch. Their arrival was precise and they worked tirelessly for several days to restore my living and dining rooms to their former glory. Not a drop of paint was found on my windows or newly refurbished floors. The end result was absolutely stunning and I still can't get over the difference in the look and feel of my home. Patrick and his team are worth every single cent you will pay them. I have struggled over the past several months with a kitchen and bath remodel and have had direct interactions with at least a dozen different companies/subs. I can firmly and confidently say that my entire experience with Brannick and Associates was the most positive. Patrick has so much integrity and runs his business as though each customer is the only one that he has. He will do exactly what he commits to. There will be no ambiguities, cancellations, postponements, or sub-standard work. I guarantee that hiring Brannick and Associates will be the easiest and most gratifying experience you will have in your home improvement endeavors
Description of Work: This was my second experience with Brannick and Associates and the job entailed painting my living and dining rooms. My home was built in 1927, so both rooms had been painted many, many times. Additionally, it is architecturally challenging as there was 6 bay windows, mouldings, and picture railing. Lastly, my hardwoood floors had just been re-done and the trim had been stained badly, requiring a great deal of sanding. .

.We decided to hire Patrick and his company because of all the reviews, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed and upset with the overall results. The quality of the painting was fine, but Patrick did a very poor job communicating with us throughout the entire process. Patrick seems incredibly disorganized. Although he responded quickly to our call for an estimate, he showed up a day earlier because he had written down the wrong dates. Then after the estimate, he sent us a contract for another person. After he finally sent us the contract, it took several emails from us over several weeks to finally get an estimated date when he would pick up the contract and deposit check. The day he was supposed to pick up the check and deposit, he showed up several hours after the time he had indicated. The worst part of our experience with Patrick is on the final colors for the house. Patrick had told us that we would have an opportunity to change (slightly) the color of the house after the primer was applied. Since we were supposed to give him a 2nd check after the prep work was done, I thought at that time we would talk about the color. But he went ahead and painted the entire house, without giving us an opportunity to discuss the color (which turned out to be much lighter than what we expected). He claims to have explained to my husband that he was going to collect only one big check at the end, but my husband says this was never explained to him. To make matters worse, we discussed the color of the back deck over the phone, but Patrick said he couldn't get the color we had selected, and instead chose something else that was supposed to be very close. Turns out the color was not at all like we had selected. And the stain was semi-solid instead of semi-transparent, so the wood looked painted rather than stained. He tried to explain all the reasons why he did that, but in discussing this with a paint company, his explanations seem to point that he was basically trying to save money on the labor involved in doing a proper staining. Althoug he agreed to 're-stain' the deck to a color closer to what we had chosen, it was too late because he was not willing to do a thorough sanding job. He only did a slight sanding, and we were stuck with a much darker color and look than what we envisioned. Also, he said that the front steps were not included in the contract, and even though he did include it in the job, I was shocked that he would not have asked if we wanted the front steps painted. He said his notes indicated we didn't agree on this, but that was not our recollection from our conversation. Overall, time and time again there were so many misunderstandings with Patrick, and so many indications that he was rushing and trying to cut corners, that we felt very disappointed and upset at his lack of professionalism.
Description of Work: Patrick's company painted the exterior of our house, including the back deck and front steps.

Response from Brannick and Associates Painting Services
I provided the members with an estimate immediately upon request. I wrote up the estimate and forwarded it to them in a very timely manner along with all of our necessary company information. After receiving our estimate the member informed me that they wanted to use us to paint their home. She said that the front door and the back deck were not mentioned in the estimate and she wanted them included. I agreed to these changes (at no additional cost) and made the necessary changes to the estimate and contracts. After I made the changes, the member called me and said that she wanted the interior of the front door as well. Obviously when we paint an exterior, it does not include ANY interior work, but I told her that I would take care of the interior of the door as well (at no additional cost). As far as the color selection process goes, we went through this the same way we have been doing it since 1986. I dropped off a Benjamin Moore fandeck along with a number of large painted out poster board color samples. I explained to the members that IF they were worried about their color choice we could wait to buy the finish paint until they saw the entire house primed with their color choice. The member then sent me a color confirmation e-mail with her color choice. She did not mention any trepidation about their color choice. She was clear, I would like the house painted in color 990. We spent more than 2 days applying the elastamaric waterproofing paint that was tinted to the finish color. We did not receive any comments from the members during this time period about not liking the color. We then went on to complete the rest of the paint job with no comment from anyone UNTIL the entire house was already finish painted. Not a word. The member's issues with the back deck are very confusing to me. She chose a color for the stain and told me that she wanted a sem-transparent stain put on the deck. At this time, after confirming with the manufacturer, I explained to the member that a semi-transparent stain could not be used on the walking surface of the deck due to durability issues. I told her that she would have to use a semi-solid stain. The next day when we were going to apply the stain I knocked on the front door, with three of my guys present, to verify everything with the member. I explained the product difference and showed her the stain that we would be using. We then walked around the house to the back deck where I showed her the gallon of stain that I purchased which had a large color sample right on top of the lid. I showed her the stain and she approved it. Once again I did not received any complaints about the deck until it was entirely completed. At this time I had my guys sand down the deck and apply another coat of stain with her new color choice. Please understand that we were not being paid anything for the deck. It was thrown if for free. Finally the front porch. When we originally submitted our estimate, the front porch was not included. The member asked me to include the back deck and the front door at no cost because they were not included in the estimate. Why did she not ask about the front porch at that time? I added the front porch at no additional cost just to finish the job. We completed all of the necessary concrete repairs, painted the porch and paid for all of the materials at no charge to the homeowner! In the end, the members received a fantastic paint job at a very reasonable price. They were provided with numerous extra work that they were not charged for 1 - prepare, prime and finish paint exterior AND interior of front door. 2 - clean, sand, stain, sand, re-stain back deck. 3 - scape, sand, complete concrete repairs, finish paint front porch. Even though these things added up to a huge amount of cost in labor a materials the homeowners were not charged a penny. I do my very best to make sure that everything goes smoothly with all of our jobs. I gave the members the benefit of the doubt at every corner, and every time we were met with more demands for zero compensation. Even though this was obviously far from fair, I had my guys complete all of their requests to their satisfaction. Please take a moment to look for other reviews from the same exact week that the Member house was completed. I believe they are a better representation of my company and our work. I am entirely willing to show anyone all of our paperwork, estimates, e-mails and employee testimaonials for the member job upon request.
