New Image Reglazing

I cntacted Mr. Ron Moreno. HIs crew came out on time and reglazed my upstair bathtub. The crew covered and masked everything except the bathtub before starting the work. The tub looks great. The next day they come to remover all the masking and left the area clean.

Ron was easy to contact and very flexible on the scheduling. He showed up on the date promised in person to set up his worker. They came back the next day to clean up and did an excellent job overall for a very fair price.

They did a great job. Rod was very responsive and professional. Due to my schedule, I had to schedule a few weeks in advance, and he called the night before to confirm (normally I have to do that). His team showed up on time, was very careful with my place and worked quickly and efficiently. I had some concerns about spots in the final finish and he had his guys reglaze the tub on the second day in order to make me happy. The tub looks great and I was able to maintain a little of character of the house.

After getting several estimates, I selected this company because Ron, the owner, seemed very honest & forthcoming. For example, on Angie's List & on the phone he noted that he did not have a license, but he did have worker's comp. I checked with the Contractor's State Licensing Board & learned that licensing is not required for jobs under $500. Afterward, the tenant sent me an e-mail praising the work on the bathtub.

New Image Reglazing made (3) bathtubs and (1) bathtub tile walls look new without replacing it. I am so happly I didn't have to replace bathtubs and tiles. (3 new bathtubs, tiles, and needs to hire plumber and tile setter) I believed, I made some serious cost saving by reglazed! I think they were great and I will use them again.

I was able to reach Ronald right away. He explained the process to me, quoted a good price ($190 for the tub and $95 for the sink), and we set up an appointment for the following Monday. Ronald and his team showed up on time. He actually advised me not to reglaze my sink, because kitchen sinks get a lot of wear and tear. He told me he could clean it for me, and I could see what I thought. The sink looked almost new after he cleaned it. It was much better to clean it, because it will be a lot more durable. The reglazing with the tub went perfectly. My bathroom was recently remodeled, so I was concerned about making sure none of the new work was damaged. No problem. Everthing was covered with meticulous care. The tub looks absolutely perfect. They did not leave so much as a speck of dirt on anything. Ronald and his team came by the next day to remove the remaining masking materials and caulk the tub. It was a great experience. The work was great and Ronald was very easy to deal with. He did not even charge me for cleaning the sink.

I called and was given at appointment for a couple of days later at 9:30 am. The refinishers showed up at 10:45 saying they were scheduled "between 9:30 and 10:30." They did the job in a couple of hours. The following day they came back and removed the masking tape. The tub looks great and I have had (a least so far) no problems with it.

A team of two came out and did a great job reglazing my tub. Ron came out the next day to do some finishing work. Great result for a great price.

They did a great job! Scheduled an appointment and gave me an estimate during my initial call. Arrived on time, covered the hallway and bathroom floors and got the job done on a very timely basis. Came by the next day to check on the job and answered all my questions concerning what products to use to keep the tub clean. It looks like a new tub! Would definitely use the company again.

This was the first time I've had something reglazed. It came out great. Very nice job. Ron is a great guy, I forgot our first appointment and he was very kind and understanding about it. Work was done quickly and efficiently.

Ron and his men worked very h****** our project. They were meticulous about prepping the tub and tile correctly before they painted. As they worked on the job, Ron explained to me step by step what they were doing and always kept me updated on the progress. They put in so much work into the project - stripping the tubs, prepping the tiles, caulking. They put a great deal of care into their work. They paid attention to little details and did things like shining the faucets when they cleaned up. The bathrooms look great! They look like brand new bathrooms. I was also very impressed with Ron's honesty and integrity. Although the job turned out to be a lot more work than Ron expected, he kept his word and didn't raise the price. In addition, as they were cleaning up they noticed that there was a crack in the mirror of the sliding door of our closet. They weren't sure if they had caused the crack or not, but Ron pointed it out to me and offered to cover it if it was their fault, rather than just letting it go. I'm always a little wary and nervous about the trustworthiness of contractors and it's so nice to meet somebody so honest.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Our new tub got stained when our contractor was sealing the tile around it. We tried everything to get it out and could not. I was sure that we would need to re-glaze our tub which was only 6 month old. I call New Image and they can out the following week. The most honest people I have ever seen. Did not try to oversell and say the tub need refinishing, as I would have of course said yet. They spent about 45 minutes using a special cleaner and got 95% of the stain out, so good in fact that it looks perfect and one would never know it was so bad. I have dealt with a lot of service people, it is so refreshing to have someone that takes care of the customer and does not try to do or sell service that is not needed. I would go back to this company again and again, and recommend that you do too.

I found New Image Re-glazing on Angie's List and called them. They came out a few days later and not only re-glazed the tub but moved a very heavy refrigerator for us (that we were unable to get into the house for a few days). They didn't even ask for extra money for this although we did pay them for that.

Our house was built in the '50s and we hired Ron to reglaze a tub and bathroom sink. The work was terrific, but once we had our new fixtures we saw that there were some spots that would have to be fixed. We called him, fully prepared to pay whatever the extra cost would be, and he quoted us $20 for the sink and no quote for the tub since we weren't aware of the problem when we called him. Once he and Eddie came out and did the work we got out the checkbook, but he said he wasn't going to charge for what they'd done. He was grateful for the write-up we'd given them previously here, on Angie's List, and that was that. Still can't get over it.

This was such a breeze! We read the reports on Angie's List and called them for an estimate. The owner, Ron, gave us an estimate over the phone and about ten days later there were two very nice and professional men doing the job. They came back the next day to check everything. Later that day Ron called to see how it went. Life should be this easy!

The original appointment had to re-scheduled, due to an employee problem for Ron. However, he did call to reschedule. Once the work began, the company did a very professional and thorough job.

I highly recommend this company. He is competent and reasonably priced.

Great. They quoted me a price over the phone and then confirmed the price once arriving at the site to begin the job. The work was done beautifully, they cleaned up well and were a pleasure to work with. I was called from the site and informed that there would be an additional $50 dollar charge for stripping the old paint from a previous job (other than them) and although disappointed that the price was going to be higher than anticipated, was impressed with the result. I also saw them strip the bathtub and realized that it was a tedious job well worth the additional $50. I will absolutely use New Image for all my apartment needs.

Ron was very courteous. He took our call and job quickly in a span of about 24-48 hours as we were trying to look for someone quickly while we were in the middle of a bathroom renovation project. He was very accommodating to our schedule. He came out twice to our house: once to do the job, and the second time to check that his work was still to our liking. That was great follow up. He didn't look for payment until he came back, checked his own work (and even added another line of silicone around our tub line) and confirmed that we were satisfied. He was on time when he said he'd be, but on the second visit when he wasn't, he called at the time he was supposed to be there to let us know that he was running late due to traffic and he estimated being another 20 minutes. 20 minutes later, he was at our doorstep. That was very thoughtful of him, especially as some people don't even bother calling and just show up an hour late.

Went out of his way to please me and he was very reasonable.

I hired Ron because he was more knowledgeable than the other re-glazers I interviewed. He explained that we would re-glaze the tub and the walls separately and then caulk them so that the re-glazing at the seams would not separate with wear. His crew did the work within the expected time frame and cleaned up as much as they could but a fine dust tends to coat surrounding areas. I am satisfied with the results but also have nothing to compare it to, since is the first time I've had this process done. It definitely looks like new. My main concern is how a how long it will last and would feel more comfortable if Ron gave the standard 5 year warranty instead of 2 years.

The tub looks good, but I was disappointed in the experience overall. Ron was an hour late for our appointment and didn't even mention his tardiness. He assured me he'd return by noon (he left behind workers, who were polite and professional), and the job would be done by 1 PM. He didn't return until 1 PM, and the tub wasn't done for another hour, although he had said this last stage would take only 10-20 minutes. He never answered my calls when I was trying to find out where he was, and, most infuriating, he then blamed me. Because I had said I worked at home, he apparently decided time promises didn't matter, despite the fact that I'd said I had to leave by 1 PM. He accused me of rushing him, when I just wanted him to be forthright in his time estimates and keep his word. He also said this is why he hates taking jobs in occupied homes - the owners always need to leave. Finally, the bathroom was left very dusty. On the positive side, he didn't charge me to strip the tub.
