+ -1 moreThis is a semi-public gripe about my local Home Depot. For whatever reasons, their assistance in the plumbing department isn't polite (or even present). Things in the hardware aisle are disorganized. There's a distinct lack of service here except in the more service-oriented areas, like remodeling sales or tool rental. For these reasons, I also patronize other stores, but this Home Depot has the late hours that make it convenient.
Description of Work: This report is just regarding the service at this Home Depot. I spend at least $300 there annually.

gutter repair
+ -1 moreThe workers failed to remove a section of downspout and left behind some pieces of same and some sharp pieces of sheet aluminum. This was all remedied immediately by the site manager when notified. Left behind Home Depot signage upon front lawn. Overall, expectations were met.
Description of Work: Aluminum rain gutters were added to portions of the house. Old gutters were removed. At the suggestion of the salesman, who came out to the house to make a cost estimate, portions of the second story were included in job. This would prevent much rain water from spilling onto a patio area. An extrusion process allows the creation of seamless gutters which were made quickly on site. The job took about two hours to complete.

+ -1 moreTHE QUALITY OF THE CARPET WAS GREAT. THE PRICE WAS GREAT, BUT THE QUALITY OF INSTALLATION WAS NOT. THEY HAD TO COME BACK AND REDO A CLOSET. THEY DIDN'T MATCH THE SEEMS. IT WASN'T THE QUALITY THAT I EXPECTED. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

+ -1 moreIT TOOK A WHILE READING THE INSTRUCTIONS AND INSTALLING THE CEILING FAN. I HAD TO LOCATE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER AND SHUT IT OFF. IN THE END THE FAN TURNED OUT PRETTY GOOD AND MY FAMILY USES IT OFTEN.
Description of Work: I BOUGHT A CEILING FAN FROM HOME DEPOT AND ASSEMBLED THE FAN MYSELF. IT TOOK ABOUT 2 1/2 HOURS.

+ -1 moreTHE FLOOR CAME OUT TO BE VERY SMOOTH, SHINEY AND EVEN. THE FINISHED WORK WAS BEAUTIFUL. THEY WERE VERY FAST AND COURTEOUS. MY NEIGHBOR LIKED THE WORK SO SHE USED THEIR SERVICES.
Description of Work: THEY ADDED WOODEN FLOORS TO THE LIVING ROOM AND A LARGE DEN. THE WORKERS REMOVED OLD TILE AND CLEANED THE FLOOR THOROUGHLY. THEY THEN LAYED THE WOODEN FLOOR AND POLISHED IT WELL.

Description of Work: THEY DRY-WALLED A ROOM. THE WORKERS FIRST FILLED THE CRACKS IN THE WALLS WITH PUTTY AND SMOOTHED THEM OUT. THEY NAILED THE DRYWALL SHEETS.
