+ -1 moreThey took my money for services they did NOT provide! I wanted to mulch and start a service with them so wrote a check for $150 + $180 but then cancelled the mulch so should have been owed $180 back. I WAS GOING TO STOP PAYMENT BUT Ling said on 6/25/21 the check won't be deposited but it got cashed anyway, then she told me the refund would be mailed. On 7/9/21 I spoke to Cesar and he *said* because I was also unhappy with the service, he'd refund that to me too. As of today, no refund for my $330. Their gardener also did terrible work, hacking at my mature rosemary bush and vines, blowing the leaves and dirt and leaving a huge pile of dust in the corner that I had to sweep myself, or leaving certain areas full of leaves. DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND/OR DO A **** POOR JOB OF GARDENING.

+ -1 moreSo this past holiday (Veterans day) Ling said they gave their employees the day off. Ok, even thought they have no employee that were vets. I’m a veteran and I had to go to work but that’s fine. What was a bit surprising was when the guy came out to do my yard after Veterans Day, I talked with him about what had happened and he looked surprised when I told him that Ling gave everyone Veterans Day off. I asked him if he had to work and he said no but he called in sick. Hmmmmm. Well at least the yard got done. I will say he did a good job. But I will say that if they don’t improve their customer support policy, I will look for another gardener.
Description of Work: I needed someone to maintain my yard. Cruz Gardening gave me a quote for the service which was higher than I was used to paying in the past. We negotiated and came to an agreement for them to come every other week to mow and trim the lawn, maintain the hedge and basic yard cleanup. They require at least three months payment in advance which is ok since I would have to pay anyway. The problem is with holidays. It’s fine that they give their employee time off on holidays but unlike most businesses, they won’t have a makeup day to still maintain your yard as agreed a day or two later. They cancel it completely and expect you to call and reschedule! Really?! I thought it was already established the my yard needed to be maintained. If I don’t call them then my yard doesn’t get serviced for a month. Unsatisfactory! Then when I do call to get someone out there Ling (who I spoke with) acts like she’s doing me a favor by scheduling someone to get out to my house. This is definitely a business where the customer does not come first, the money does. It seems they have more customers than they have employees to service them.

+ -1 moreI signed a contract through Ling and made a prepayment of $420 for 12 services (3 months) to include weekly maintenance and weed cleanup. No clean up was performed prior to the start of services. Below are the 4 actual services that I received. Service 1 - 5/9 (30 min): Mow and edge front yard. No weeding performed. Service 2 - 5/16 (30 min): Partial weeding of the front flower bed causing damage to Dahlias, Chrysanthemums, and Poppies. No mowing performed. Service 3 - 5/23 (30 min): Mow and edge front yard. No weeding performed. Service 4 - 5/30 (30 min): Mow and edge back yard and debris clean-up. Due to poor service I requested a prorated refund of the deposit I made, but Cesar gave me the runaround and stopped responding.

+ 0 moreWe had Cruz Gardening come to give us an estimate for a property clean up. We just needed weeds pulled around our property, it wasn't a huge job. They were very nice, and quoted us a reasonable amount. They gave us the estimate on a Wednesday, and said they would be able to do it Saturday. We said great, and they said actually, if it wasn't raining the next morning (Thursday), they would come and do it then--even better! The next morning it wasn't raining, and they didn't show up. Fine. Then, Saturday morning during our scheduled appointment time, they didn't show either. We never got a call or anything. I dont know if something happened, but we felt it was rude to not at least let us know if they weren't going to show up. We changed our schedule around two different days to be sure to be around in case they showed up.
Description of Work: They surveyed the property and gave us an estimate.
