Already A Better Choice Termite & Pest Control Inc

We had them come out to give me an estimate for pest control. He ended up not finding any problems but gave me some suggestions on how to deal with the situation at hand. The scheduling was really easy, and he came out on time.

The two inspectors were very polite and efficient. They checked everywhere for termites. They told me about a couple of plumbing leaks which we will attend to. They told me that it did not look like we had any current termite problems except for the dry-rot that we knew about. I decided to hire them. The gentleman who came out and sprayed was also very polite and efficient. The company seems to really care about their customers. We still need to tear up and replace the flooring in our kitchen that was damaged by the termites, but I assume the termites are dead. They told me that their work is guaranteed for a year and at this point, I do believe they would come out and attend to the problem if I did find one within that time.

I spoke with the company and arranged for Nathan to come out and do an inspection. Nathan was on time, very courteous, professional and quite thorough in his inspection. He identified where the pests were coming in, knew how to fix the problem and set an appointment to come back an do the work. He returned on time and did exactly what he said he would do. He spent the better part of the afternoon performing the service and then took the time to review his work with me. Nathan is very good and knowledgeable in his work. I am very satisfied. Nathan set an appointment to perform a follow-up inspection, which is very reassuring and a testament to their dedication of their service.

They were very friendly when they were there working. They did speak english very well. They were very knowledgable and knew what they were doing when they were there.

I have used them several times and they are great. They guarantee their work so they will come out how many ever times to get the problem fixed. Would highly recomend them and continue to use them.

I am very pleased with the work that was done and with the care and consideration they gave me and my property. They replaced large potted plants close to the house, and swept and hosed their work area leaving the area clean and neat. I am also very pleased with their professionalism from start to finish, and the concern to insure that I understood what the whole process entailed. A definite recommendation!

We heard noises in the walls and our dog was going crazy sniffing at the baseboards. We feared rats, but found that after Already a Better Choice came out we had mice. The technician showed us the evidence, laid out a plan of action, and gave us an estimate. We were so horrified, we said yes, although it seemed expensive. In fact, the service we got was well worth the price. They promised they'd get rid of our mice and they did, giving a one-year guarantee. First, they closed off all of the entry ways under the house (approx. 8), covered the opening to our dryer house with a screen and put out some traps (being careful not to put any where the dog could get them) and poison boxes in the garage. This did not work. Typically the mice come in from outside for food and then leave. Ours it turned out had a nest under the dryer! (Ewww!). AABC took the dryer out, cleaned it, and put the dryer back. Set more traps and put out poison boxes (the mice crawl in and out and hide in the baseboards). We watched in horror as the mice babies and parents came out, and tried to find food and return to their nest. They can climb doors and walk along blinds I kid you not. AABC got our frantic call and came out again, this time the owner, who could not believe these mice were still alive and in our house. Somehow the daddy was flushed out and managed to escape after actually jumping on the owner's leg! Traps and poison boxes continued to be laid, but these mice, particularly the daddy, were tough and wily. Finally, the mice were out of the house and did not return. Throughout this process, AABC responded promptly and courteously to every call, lived up to their word, and really earned their fee.

I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for ridding my home of termites and other pests. Nathan, the company's representative, arrived on time, inspected my home, said that as there were many areas of infestation he felt it would be more efficient to tent and fumigate the entire house rather than try to do spot treatments. He explained what that would entail and gave me a written estimate of the cost. He also told me that he recommended that I replace or repair my roof before having the fumigation done or the pests would soon return. Agreeing, and appreciating his honesty I got estimates, had my roof replaced, and nearly three months later had Already a Better Choice do the tenting and fumigation. We had some mix-ups getting together to get a new estimate based on work already done by the roofers, but the estimate was revised and we set a date. We needed more bags to secure food and health and beauty items from damage and Nathan made a second trip to deliver them. The morning of the tenting everyone arrived on time. Two days later the house was ready for occupancy again as promised. The gas they use has no odor whatsoever. They did a nice job of repairing some damaged wood trim.

I had ants in and around my house. I tried both store-bought ant-traps and one of those things you plug in the wall to emit a sound that ants apparently do not like. These slowed the ants at times but we still had plenty. I called the company and asked a bunch of questions over the phone - they were helpful and knowledgeable and gave me a quote they stuck to. They also did not try to up-sell me. I made an appt for an ant treatment, as well as an inspection for termites. With some questioning, they helped me realize I still had another 2 months on my guarantee from my last termite treatment (from another company). Joshua from Already a Better Choice came out, was on time, polite, did the ant treatment and answered my questions. He recommended I call the previous termite company to do the termite inspection, since I was still under warranty with them. He did offer to do it himself if I really wanted, but I understood that he'd be doing an inspection that, even if it discovered termites, would not yield work for his company. I declined to have him do the inspection (and did have the original termite co. do it). I would use this company again (and will, if the ants come back down the road).

They worked well and came back and did a free follow up for me.

They didn't have their tall ladder with them because another crew was using it, but they took the time to go to my friend's house to borrow his ladder, then took it back when they were done. I thought this was really nice of them to take the time to do that.

They were knowledgeable and good. They were on time. Now I am starting to use their monthly service. I will continue to use them and recommend them to others. They are a little expensive.

They went from crawl space all the way to the attic. Both experiences were good. They showed up with two people. They spent a lot of time to make sure it was thorough. After they inspected they reviewed everything they had found.

Arrival was punctual for estimate, work, and recheck. Nathan was very knowledgeable and professional. Two men worked diligently for most of a day rat proofing my house. The men returned in two weeks to inspect and make sure no rats were in the house. They were very careful and considerate. If there are any signs of rats, they will take care of it for a period of one year at no extra charge.

My experience with them was good. They were professional and they did their job. They came on time and it was great. I would recommend them and use them again.

They are courteous, conscientious around our plants and pets. Explained everything they were using and what to expect from the results.

This is a small one owner company who has very reasonable rate and they are also very courteous and polite. We also get a follow up call from them just to check. We prefer using small businesses instead of chains.

I thought that they were very good at their work. When they first came out to give me a bid and for the inspection; that was free. They were very professional about it. They also alerted me to a leak I had under my house.

The termite inspector was prompt, personable & thorough. The report was a bit less informative that I expected, base on past experience. The workers were diligent and professional. However, scheduling problems and breakdowns in communication were disappointing.

We bought our house less than 2 years ago. A rat infestation was treated before we moved in, but it soon became apparent that they had not done a very good job, so we decided to try another exterminator. A very nice representative of already a better choice came over soon after my call and did a careful job of going over my property, spending much more time than a previous inspector. During inspection the inspector found evidence of termite infestation in my attic and suggested I contact the exterminators that did the previous job less than 2 years ago. I did, and got a re-treatment for free. I guess I should thank the rats for getting already a better choice up there for me, and I owe a big thank-you to ABC for finding the termites, which the other company's inspector missed. ABC workers arrived on time, were friendly and informative. They advised me not to bait the basement area in consideration of my dogs. I really appreciated the thorough inspection and the care they took sealing up the entry areas for the rodents. Their price was a bit higher than the other bid, but I feel it was probably worth the extra cost. I am hopeful that we got all the nasty guys this time, or at least for awhile.

I know I have termites and I'm getting ready to do some work on my house, so I wanted to exterminate the pests first. Joshua came to inspect (right on time), did an inspection and talked about what I needed done. He recommended that I have the work on the house done first, and then tent the house because termites come in with new wood. I was impressed that he didn't try and talk me into doing it now. I will call them when the work is finished.
