Already A Better Choice Termite & Pest Control Inc

My cat chased a rat into our bedroom. The bedroom is small and the cat was meowing and looking intently under the bed. I saw what looked like a small possum, but was actually a rat. The cat was unable to catch it. I checked Angie's for extermination and saw this company. It was a same-day call being somewhat of an "emergency." They were able to schedule Joshua to come out. He was prompt, courteous and professional and most of all, calm. He found a way to chase the rat out of the door on to the balcony and it scurried away. You guys are great!

They were okay, but they had yearly insurance where they come and do the inspection yearly for ten years. We kept calling and asking them but they didn't explain anything. Finally we got a letter saying that I need to become a member and things like that. Their communication was poor. We ended up not signing up for the ten years contract. The price was high but the quality was good.

This is the second time I've used these guys. The first time a technician named Nathan came over and sprayed primarily for black widows and ants. It worked great, because I haven't seen a black widow in eight months! Since it has been so long, we called again. We were starting to see spiders again and we're getting ants in the kitchen. Nathan came again (very nice guy). He recommended that he reschedule because it was so windy the day that he came by. I agreed so he came back a week later and sprayed all around the house and property line. He even went under the house again (which is nice since I've spent a lot of time down there doing repairs). He advised me about safety issues with our baby and even avoided parts of our back yard where my son's toys are. Nathan informed me that if I had any issues or more bugs within 30 days he would come back for no charge. Pretty great!

The company is responsive and professional. Don't know if their estimate is high or low relative to other providers but I did feel like I got my money's worth and was happy that they honored the initial estimate from approximately 5-6 months ago.

Fabulous company. Good people. Thorough professionals. But make sure you don't have rats in your house before the tenting or else you will end up corpses that draw flies!

The person they sent out was reluctant to go under the house. He saw termite damage and tried to convince us that we needed to tent our house, which another company completely disproved.

Found out the house needed more work than i thought.

Always arrived when promised. Did a thorough inspection for termites and only found 3 places which were spot treated. Those areas are guaranteed for one year. Then the really important part - I've been plagued by rats off and on for 3 or 4 years. Called a lot of companies, all of them were more expensive and definitely not knowledgeable at all in comparison with Already a Better Choice about the RIGHT way to control rats in the walls, under the floors, and above the ceiling. This representative gave a thorough explanation of the habits of rats and how to get them out! And this is guaranteed for an entire year! While doing the actual work, were very thorough and followed up twice as promised. If working inside the house, overalls and even gloves were worn to keep the house absolutely clean. Unlike most work done on the house, they didn't leave ANY trash for me to clean up. Absolutely effective! Couldn't believe it! The first night I only heard maybe one rat, where before they had been running around the ceiling and in one particular wall. After 2 days, aaah silence! I had already tried one other "pest control" company whose methods were totally ineffective. That company charged me about the same as Already a Better Choice and they did hardly anything in comparison! They were here about 30 minutes, where Already A Better Choice was here almost an entire day! I highly recommend Already A Better Choice Termite & Pest Control Inc. They are knowledgeable, thorough, careful, and responsive. They treat the customer with a politeness and respect not seen often these days. Best of all, their prices cannot be beat - you might pay some other company less, but you will get a LOT less from them.

They were very prompt, thorough, professional, wonderful to work with, and had great follow up.

They came out as promised - and it was raining, so they had to come back. Which I completely understand. The next week, they came out and measured and advised etc. But it's a week later and I'm still waiting for a quote!

They looked at the whole house and found places were rodents could get in and sealed the openings. They took several hours to go through everything.

I had the company quote me for a extermination problem i was having. They gave me a written quote and said that they would get back to me with a more extensive quote in a few days. Eventually I had to track them down and speak with them face-to-face to get my quote. I then decided to get a quote from a different company and the new company that gave me the quote priced the job 600 dollars less than this company. I would not use them to quote a job for me again in the future.

They were on time, their work was good and their bid was affordable. They explained everything they did before they did it.

Because of our schedule the process took several months to set up. I felt satisfied with the thoroughness of the examination, the options explained and the patience with "our" process of deciding. The one time they were going to be late they called ahead, very appreciated. The work itself was done professionally and explanation along the way, was always courteous. When they discovered the ladder they brought would not reach the second story to replace the board, they rented one locally and finished the job the same day. I was particularly impressed with the work of the carpenter who also helped another small task when asked. Clean up was great and I was very comfortable with them on the property.

There was some sort of miscommunication between the guy that came out and the person that I had spoken with over the phone as far as the price was concerned. We did get that worked out though. I spotted some termite activity at some point and I called them up, and they did come back out to treat at no charge. Overall, I am happy with the work that they did. This was the second time that we have used them. We used them previously for a rat problem. We have not had a rat since. They are also conscientious. If you do not like to use poisons, they will find a way to work around that.

Poorly. No effort on the part of the firm to even look at or evaluate the extent and severity of the problem, much less address an appropriate pricing structure based on a thorough appraisal of the problem. There was no effort at determining the type of treatment or solution, much less the physical layout, square footage or environmental components to the job.

They showed up on time and did a very thorough exam. They could've easily told us we had termites but they didn't, and they didn't charge for that inspection either. We were very pleased with them.

The guy that came out was nice, he came out on time. The price was just a little high. A neighbor had started to see birds in extreme amounts and now we have rats. I am not the one who made the decision. I would have probably gone ahead and done it but my husband was the one the make the decision to try and fix it on his own. It seemed, to my husband and to me, kinda ridiculous to spend that money to clog a couple of holes and put a few boxes of poison in the attic. I probably would have done it but we made a plan of our own and it seemed to work.

I called ABC because we found rats in our stove one Saturday morning. They answered the phone on the first ring and scheduled a time for Nathan to come out and inspect the property. Nathan was on time and very knowledgeable about both our area and the most effective treatments for rats. He inspected the entire home, both inside and out, including the attic, detached garage and provided an estimate for the work. I was fairly impressed with his demeanor and presentation. Since no one wants rats in the house, decided to go ahead with the job. Nathan arrived with one helper on time and proceeded to start immediately on sealing all the vents in the foundation. He was very amenable to answering my numerous questions regarding pet safety and other actions I could take to limit the problem. He also found a couple of areas he didn't note on the previous visit, but fixed all the problems and completed all the work within the original quotation. They also include a free follow-up visit after two weeks to ensure that the problem is solved, plus a 1 year guarantee on the work. He also conducted a termite inspection of the property at the same time and I am planning on using ABC both to take care of the current termite problems and service the property annually. Nathan was very honest about the types of chemicals used and gave me options for the treatments to fit into my budget and future plans for the house. All in all, Nathan was very knowledgeable, capable, friendly and that is what I look for in a service provider. Their prices may be a bit high (though as a new homeowner, I don't have too much of a basis for reference), but the quality was very good. They were willing to offer a discount on the termite service when I asked.

Nathan spent several hours cleaning and attaching wire mesh to the openings in both my pool heater and spa service door. When he finished he surveyed the entire house including crawling thru the attic. He came back on the appointed day and again spent several hours rodent proofing the house. Both services came with a one year guarantee. The best experience with an exterminating company in 14 years of owning my home.

I never heard anything from them. They stated that they would fax me the estimate and I never received that fax.

Inspector was thorough, courteous, inspected the entire property. Arrived promptly for appointment, did all work as estimated, explained in detail all work provided. Extremely happy with company's response to my problems and concerns. Work is warranted for longer period than other company estimates. I really liked the people who did the work. I would highly recommend this company and use them again if needed.

I had feared the outcome of the inspection because we had not had the house inspected for termites in at least five years. I was extremely pleased that we had almost no damage, because they probably could have told me that we did and I might have believed them. They did discover rat issues, but since we thought we heard rats in the walls, this made sense. We scheduled them to come out for rat remediation and they did so promptly.

I had the house inspected about 15 months before, but the other company didn't do such a thorough inspection as Already a Better Choice.
