They scheduled the inspection quickly and showed up early on the appointed day. They conducted a thorough inspection of our 90-year old house, attic, crawl space and garage, and even came back out to inspect another area at my request before giving us a final estimate. After getting a second estimate, we decided to go with Already a Better Choice Termite & Pest Control because they found evidence of termites where the other company did not, yet their quoted price for treatment was very close to the other company's (and actually less after using their Angie's List discount).

They were very very good. When I thought I had a problem later, they came right out and took care of the situation. It ended up that I didn't have any problems and they made sure of it and told me to call them with any future questions I might have.

They were very responsive, reasonably price, and professional. They subcontracted the work out and they were both excellent to work with.

They scheduled to arrive between 10 and 11a.m. They did not show in time window given. I had taken off work to meet and waited more than the hour window when they were to show. After 11, I called to cancel, because even if they got there soon, I didn't have enough time before returning to work. They said "I'm sure he's on his way", but clearly weren't sure. And, if he was going to be late, they should have called to let me know. They were polite on the phone.

I saw their ad in Angie's List book. Called for appointment and they came out in less than a week. Joshua came and did a thorough walk thru in, under, and outside of house. He drew a diagram of house, indicating where evidence of termites were. He offered me various options to rid termites. I picked chemical treatment so I wouldn't have to move out with my dog. Jesse came a couple of days later and treated all necessary areas. I got a senior discount as well as $150.00 off with coupon in Angie's List Book. All employees of firm were really nice, and I would hire them again. They were very professional.

They showed up on time, to provide the estimate and to do the work. They were very professional, friendly, knowledgable, and thourogh. Our rat problem was somewhat severe, and they came back several times, at no charge, until the problem was completely solved. We have had no more issues since they finished. The price was fair, no poisons were used, and I am completely satisfied with the services provided.

I made an appointment for Already a Better Choice to come to my house in the afternoon, then cancelled after another company quoted me a cheaper price. After that company never showed up, I called Already a Better Choice back about 30 minutes before my original appointment. They told me they would honor the original appointment time of 4:30-5. The guy showed up around 4:45, crawled under the house and found the skunk, then did a thorough job removing it. He even called me after he left to remind me to cover up the hole where the skunk had first crawled in. The most amazing thing was that animal removal is not really a service they offer, but rather one they're willing to do for a reasonable price.

See above. They came out promptly, but didn't even provide a business card until I asked for one at the end of the inspection. Spent a long time doing the inspection (a lot longer than any of the other companies) but did not identify any areas of infestation that weren't seen by the other companies. My impression (right or wrong) is that they were trying to jack up the price by emphasizing their thoroughness)

I was very impressed with this company. The Rep Joshua seemed very knowledgeable on the subject and provided a lot of details about termite infestation. He took alot of time to explain the matter to me. He did not try to sell services that were not needed. I will deifnitely use this company when I'm ready for to have the work done. I would also recommend this company to others.

Joshua from Already a Better Choice was incredibly patient and thorough as we dealt with a tenant who was having difficulty accepting that the house had to be tented. He even came out on a Saturday to meet with her and give her detailed information about the process. Because of her concerns, It took approximately 4 months to schedule the tenting from the time he first came out to give us a quote. Although the use a subcontractor, he came out personnally to oversee the job and to ensure that they were careful with the many plants around the perimeter of the house. I'd highly recommend this company.

My tenant contacted me to say there was "something" scratching in the attic. I called ALREADY A BETTER CHOICE TERMITE & PEST CONTROL and asked them to investigate. I live 1,500 miles away from my rental house, so it's important for me to be able to find contractors that can take care of things remotely. After sending out a technician, they contacted me and said because it was hard to access the roof of my house (it's on a hillside), it would cost $850 to trap the animal and plug any openings with screen. I asked if they could just go in from the ceiling by cutting a larger opening in the drywall and adding a plastic access panel cover, but I guess that wasn't in their menu of services. Since $850 was too much, I asked them just to put out traps and I would do the repair work myself. When I opened the attic, I discovered a squirrel had made a nest out of the insulation. I cleaned it up, replaced the screening and insulation in about 3 hours and for less than $100. In fact, my entire trip including plane ticket is still less than the amount they wanted. I also found the trap that was set by the exterminator. It was a single, black plastic trap that had been chewed in half by the squirrel. So basically I paid them $150 to throw a single trap in the attic and they didn't follow up to see if anything got caught or if the problem was still there. I incorrectly assumed that if they put out traps, they would come back to check them. And, of course, if I had known it was a squirrel, I wouldn't have wanted any traps put out. It's probably hard to tell at first glance what kind of animal was up there, but there wasn't any droppings, which I would think a rat or mouse would have left.

They were very thorough and professional and sent me a very detailed report as to what needed to be done. It turns out didn't have any problems at that point, but they said I might have the beginnings of some, and I should contact them in about a year.

We had a termite problem in the garage, but decided to proceed with a whole house fumigation. The inspection and work was done in a prompt and professional manner. The wood repair work was done well too. There are no new termite droppings seen, which is a good sign. Overall, we are pleased with the service. The fumigators, however, do not check if the bagging of the items have been done right. This is something you will need to do yourself or ask for help, if needed. They also do not warn about the gas getting into the air ducts of the AC or heater, which did cause irritation when it was turned on, in my case.

This was the 3rd time I have used Jose and his company in the last 1 1/2 years. I am always impressed with their attention to detail, professionalism, fair prices and honest demeanor. I buy and sell properties for a living, so I rely on good relationships. They are a great choice. I will call them for my next property, no question.

Joshua came to our home and did a top to bottom inspection of our home and identified multiple locations where dry wood termites had established themselves in our home. He took measurements of our home. He went over the results of his inspection and established that termite colonies were in at least 3 locations in our home (1 load bearing wall and the attic). He then provided an estimate for whole house fumigation (tent). We contacted their office, scheduled a date and began the process of preparing the house for the fumigation. We decided to pack out all food (bins) instead of having to double bag our food. The fumigation process was completed with only 1 issue. There was a mix up between the fumigation company (sub-contractor) and our local gas company regarding the time for the gas company (Natural gas) to come back and turn on our gas. The gas company came before the fumigators had certified the house clear and left a note. We ended up waiting an additional night before we could return to our home because of this error (no natural gas). This company covered our extra hotel night as a result of this mistake. Joshua came back a few days later, explained everything to us and covered evidence of termites in our attic with concrete dust (standard practice). We are very happy with the services provided by this company and will continue to have re-inspections done yearly to ensure that termites do not return.

I can only offer my highest regards for this company. We got estimates from 3 different companies and we were about to proceed with the best of the three, but I had a bad feeling about them. Then I researched them on Angie's list and my suspicions were confirmed. That's also when I saw the "A" rating for "Already a Better Choice". From first contact they were polite, professional, and a relief to work with. Not only was their inspection the most comprehensive and their treatment plan the most thorough; they were also very reasonably priced. You owe it to yourself to call them.

They have a year's guarantee so if we hear rats, we only have to call them. The serviceman was very professional and keep his agreements re the facets of the job.

Josh was courteous and very professional. He arrived on time and inspected the place carefully. He argued however, that fumigation was the only good option, but I was convinced by another company that a local spraying treatment was the better way to go.

They were very prompt, courteous and professional for the initial report and quote. From then on things went sort of downhill. The office seemed perpetually confused, from not getting me all the paperwork (so we were three hours away from the house when they required another signature) to not being sure how to answer my questions (like, should I leave doors and drawers open, etc.). Very sweet, just a tad confused. Then the shock came: the fumigators were VERY late coming and when they showed up, it wasn't the company I had booked, but a sub-contractor. This did not make me happy. I like to review the people who have access to my house and I had no idea that they were subbing this out... Still, we returned to no particular chaos!

I don?t have any rodents issue right now. They provide one year guaranty for their service in which they ensure we won?t have any rodents issue for a year and if there?s any issue then they will comeback and trap the rodents. They came back 2 or 3 times to set new traps and to take the trapped rodents. They did it until all the rodents were gone. I would definitely tell the people to use them if they have rodents issue. They are very knowledgeable, professional and responsive. The value for their price was good.

I had a weekday morning appointment for an estimate. At the scheduled time, I received a call from their technician who had a flat tire on his truck and would be late. The heads-up call was very polite and considerate, and we re-scheduled for Saturday afternoon. On Saturday, Nathan, their technician showed up promptly. He conducted a very thorough termite investigation and was very upfront and honest with his assessment. There was no hard sell or scare tactics, and he pointed out a couple of other potential problems in my house that I might want to get checked out. After that, he sprayed for spiders and bugs with an odorless pesticide. He was thorough in the explanation of what he sprayed, and what results to expect. Overall, the service was prompt, thorough, and quite satisfactory.

I was working with one of the owners' named Joshua Clements. He was very knowledgeable, efficient and effective. He was also very respectful and polite. He worked with our men and got the job done efficiently. They were here for 2 and 3 quarter hours and did a thorough job. They did the job well and they were excellent. They even went out of their way to get certain things fixed which were out of the contract.

I thought that they were excellent. The older gentleman that came out was very kind. He showed up on time and came when he said he would. He looked at the holes around the house and figured that they were caused by little gophers. He told me that they wouldn't be able to get into the house and that they really wouldn't destroy anything outside. He told me that if I wanted him to, he could patch up the holes for around $300. He told me that it really wasn't necessary and that I probably could do it myself. I really appreciated his honesty. While he was doing the inspection, he found that I had termites! I almost burst into tears when he told me that. So, they'll be coming back in a month to take care of them. He was just so kind and awesome throughout the whole process.

Easy to schedule an appt. withing 48 hours. Did not try to upsell unnecessary services. Addressed the specific problem. Gave me an estimate and rescheduled for two days later to do the work. Inspector was very thorough. I had ridiculous estimates from the nationally recognized big two termite / exterminator companies that made me laugh (one quoted $7k but would do it for half...."the special" - I laughed. I had some minor termite damage on one french door and also wanted some perimeter and garage spraying....no big deal. Would definitely use again and recommend.
