I had a serious flooding issue in my garage. Troy came out and came up with a plan that I hadn't thought of. Even though the final solution took a few attempts. Troy stuck with it and left me with a system that works great. The only thing better than the quality of work they provide is their customer service. Troy was ALWAYS prompt and was extremely flexible to meet my needs. He uses only quality materials and has a keen eye for detail. They clean up the jobsite VERY nicely each time they are here. I highly recommend their work!

Troy and his team are awesome. He is professional and punctual. I really appreciated how he worked with my budget, gave me suggestions regarding plants and plant placement. I was unable to pick up the trees I had selected because I have a compact car and Troy picked them up for me. Excellent customer service! He'll return in the Spring for another project. They arrived on-time on the scheudled date and were finished by the early afternoon. They installed drain pipe and drains along the back and side of my house out to the street. He also graded the entire backyard so that water would drain towards the pipes and away from my house. Troy also provided recommendations for future landscaping ideas and pointers. The entire crew was very professional and provided detailed instructions on how to maintain the drainage system. I will be using Suncrest Landscapes in the future when it comes time to make additional improvements to my yard.

It went very well. They gave advice on the previous landscaping, They told me that they previous landscaping company did not do that good of a job. They explained why they did what they did and explained the value of having it done properly

I have problems with the drainage on the side of my house. When it rains hard the water backs up on the side of the house. A new drain was in staled and rock was laid down on the side. Troy gave me some other suggestions for my back yard that I might wand to do in the spring. I will definitely call him if I do. Troy and his crew were very efficient, punctual and did and excellent job. I was very pleased with their work. I just hpe it rains so I can test the new drain out

Every winter for the past previous seventeen years, our back yard and the run along the north side of the house filled up with water during hard rains. But the water never came close to getting inside the house, and there was no evidence of damage anywhere.This past winter, however, water came within a few inches of entering our living room through a sliding glass door in the back yard. Our neighbor, who had recently purchased his house and discovered its serious drainage problems, had completely gutted his back yard this past summer and had his drainage redone. Back then, I did not connect his renovations with the winter increases in water in my back yard. I was just worried about all of the water. This spring I noticed a backyard downspout with a black pipe attached that went into the ground. I started digging around the pipe, thinking that I could put a drain into the south area of my yard and tie it into this downspout drain pipe to relieve the buildup that nearly flooded my living room. Digging soon uncovered a dark secret: That downspout pipe did not run east and west along my property line. Instead, it snaked under the fence and into the neighbor's yard. Long story short: When they built this house, they ran all of my drainage into my neighbor's drainage system. I did not have a drain pipe of my own to day light at the city sidewalk. When my neighbor redid his, my drain was cut off. I called the City for advice and soon learned that this was not the City's concern. I called the HOA and learned the same thing: Not their problem. The builder has long been out of business. I called several landscapers for advice. I was far more interested in finding a landscaper who inspired confidence than in finding the lowest bidder. Troy looked at the situation very differently from all of the others. When we started talking about the south downspout pipe, he turned and walked to the north side of the house. I couldn't figure out why he went north when my problem was south, but I soon began to see. He asked me about the drainage to the north, and when I told him water built up there, too, but never enough to worry me, he explained his theory of how the original drain pipe should have been put in but probably was not. He could envision things underneath the dirt that I couldn't even imagine. Over the next half hour and during a visit within the next few days and in several lengthy phone conversations, Troy and I made a plan to get water flowing along both sides of my house. It was so great that he would talk with me and give me his thoughts about the pros and cons of different ways to go, and he was always thinking about ways to save me money without sacrificing effectiveness. I came to really appreciate how this drainage stuff is just a part of who he is--he knows it from long experience. It meant digging trenches on both sides of the house, making sure the trenches inclined just so so gravity could do its work, and putting in the pipes and drains. It meant taking the gate out of the fence and putting it back again. We have some mature trees in the front yard, and my HOA was concerned about them. Troy was patient with the process of getting HOA approval. He and two of his employees came yesterday and today to do the work. They just finished buttoning up the job an hour or so ago. They water tested the system, and water is flowing smoothly and exiting at the curb to go down to the storm drain. It looks really good. I believe it will do its job. They cleaned up everything. They did fine work, and I will call Suncrest again for anything I need in the future. In his little blurb on Angie's List, Troy talks about how important communication is with customers. He means it. He is knowledgeable and confident, and he wants his customers to understand exactly what he is doing, why he is doing it, and what the likelihood of success is. He promised to come by during the next hard storm to check out the drainage. I believe it is going to work, but it gives me even more peace of mind to know that he hasn't just done this job and moved on. He will be here with me when the rains come to watch the new system work and is ready to do what it takes should something need fixing. If the builders had only done it right in the first place... I just wish I knew which inspector from the City signed off on the original drainage that never existed in the ground. I always thought that drainage WAS the City's concern. What's the point of inspection if it doesn't mean that things are right? It's a good thing we have people like Troy around to pick up the slack. He's that kind of landscaper.

The entire process went off without a hitch, and we would recommend Suncrest for anybody that needs their services. Troy met with us, provided the design and estimate and then did the whole thing in two weeks. It came out beautifully, and he really worked with us to figure out drainage solutions, appropriate plants and design solutions. He was always prompt, professional and polite. The house renovation wasn't nearly so problem-free, and we now have a family joke that we wish Troy had done the house too.

They were very good, they even did a bit of extra work for me. The owner was right there working with 2 other people.

From start to finish I never had the slightest worry. If there was something I didn't understand Troy would explain it. All work was done on time and to my liking - no surprises. I was delighted with the results; so were my neighbors and friends. I immediately hired Troy and his maintenance team to keep the yard going all the time. It's been well over a year now. Winter freeze-outs were replaced by the nursery and I've made some small additions. Troy does these just as professionally as he handles the larger contracts. The weekly service takes care of everything; I can add services if these fit in the time frame (paying by the hour). Best I've ever had for lawn care and installation.

Had Troy and his team at Suncrest Landscaping come out and re-do my front lawn. Within a day or two of talking to him and having him come out and review the lawn I had a complete estimate ready to go. He and his team were then there within a couple to start the work. All in all, could not be more happy with the work. At no point did I feel like I was waiting around for Troy to finish something. Troy did a excellent job of walking me through what all work was going to be done and was great at explaining parts i didn't understand/mis understood. All in all a great experience. And then two days later I now have a lawn better than I could have ever imagined. Troy and his team are professionals and I would recommend them to anyone in the Sacramento area

Troy and company did a great job. They came to all appointments on time, were friendly and professional. Troy was able to recommend a drainage system that took care of the leaking in the basement. I called Troy after a large storm in January resulted in about 6 inches of water throughout my basement. I got a quote from another drainage and waterproofing company that came to almost $30,000. Troy assessed the situation and agreed that in order to be 99% sure that no water would ever enter the basement again, I needed the full waterproofing of the foundation and an extensive drainage system. However, to be 90% sure, I could spend $5000 to direct most of the water away from the house. I went with the 90% certainty. After work was completed, we had a few good rains and no water whatsoever came into the basement. In the spring I hired Suncrest again for another $5000 to put in redwood raised beds, gravel pathways and to close in the area below the back porch, also in redwood. The area is really beautiful now.

Last fall I got an ecological landscape design and I contacted seven landscapers, but only two were willing to look at a small project. Troy, owner of Suncrest, specializes in small projects, so he agreed to give me an estimate. He was on-time and very professional. We discussed how to implement the design and he was very knowledgeable about irrigation and drainage issues. He later sent me an estimate by email within a couple of days. Meanwhile, I got an estimate from one other landscape company. They both cost more than I wanted to spend. I ended up doing nothing through the winter, but got motivated again this spring. I called Troy again, asking him to see how he could reduce costs. He was kind enough to come back and take a fresh look at the project. He did recommend some good cost-savings. In the end, I realized using traditional landscaping machinery, techniques and materials was straying from the intent of the design. So, in the end, I did not hire Suncrest, but I want to commend Troy for his patience and willingness to go the extra mile.

I just got 2 quotes and the General Waterproofing Company was proposing something that was much more expensive. I think the price seemed reasonable to me, but I didn't do a lot of price comparison.

The first day I contacted Troy he answered right away and was very courteous on the phone. He came to my home and gave me a free estimate, stated he would email me the bid in writing by the end of the day which he did. Being a single woman I was not sure of the pricing on a job of this sort so I shopped around. Troy's bid was right in the market. Troy and an employee of his showed up on time for date we arranged. Installed everything as stated in the bid. He went through everything with me after the job was completed, showing how it worked. Asked if I had any questions. I was very happy with Troy's professionalism, excellent work, and clean up. They left the area nice and clean as it was prior to the work being done. I would hire Troy again in a heart beat!

When I called Suncrest the voice mail said they would return the call within a hour. Troy called back in about forty minutes. He quoted a fair price to fix a poorly implemented sump pump and suggested an addition to address our drainage problem. No unnecessary upsell, and he used quality components. They did a great job, very professional from beginning to end.

If anyone is having drainage problems, Troy is the person to call. For several years, we have tried to get our drainage problems fixed and have spent quite a bit of money in the process. We finally lucked out with Troy. The first thing he did was offer us an inexpensive analysis to examine and identify the drainage status and make recommendations (no one else suggested this). They spent several hours locating and testing the various drains. We hired him and set up a time for the back yard first. In one day, they fixed problems we have had for over 10 years. In the past, we had people recommend sump pumps and various other solutions, but Troy and his crew rerouted a drain and solved the problem. Next came the front yard. Our driveway slopes toward the garage and the only drain was blocked. First, they tried to clear it, but it was filled with cement debris, etc. The solution was to route the drain from the driveway and across the yard to connect it to another drain. There was a tricky upward slope involved but they figured out how to make it work. We were in danger of having our garage flood and now this wonderful new drain diverts all the water safely away. Not only did Troy solve our problems, he was very easy to work with. He is reliable, communicates well, and keeps his word. He has earned our trust.

Troy is always on time and does great work. His crew is friendly and efficient. I was impressed how hard and fast these guys work. They were there at 7 a.m. and done early every day. Troy is very affordable and is always mindful of your budget. There is no upselling and trickery. Every time I emailed or called Troy, he always responded quickly. I would hire the Suncrest crew again in a heartbeat.

We started a project to correct drainage problems and ponding in front of our garage, but ran into hard-pan. We called Troy --the owner of Suncrest--at the recommendation of another contractor we had used and liked. Troy fit us in right away, but confirmed (using a jack-hammer and an hour of hard labor) that our hard-pan would not allow us to complete the project as we had envisioned. He then spent almost two hours walking our site and helping us to plan a new approach. The crew trenched lines from all our downspouts and out to the street from the newly-installed sump pump. All landscaping was restored per our contract, and the work site was left clean and orderly. In addition, they graded our side yard over our new drainage lines and laid it with gravel after removing vegetation. The crew was always prompt in arriving on time and completing work as they laid out the day before. It took four days to complete the work, and each day the site was cleaned and secured.

Troy the owner came out to give us a bid and explained in detail about what they would be doing to improve the drainage around our house. The job took 2 days. The crew was prompt and professional. They cleaned up after themselves when they were done. It has not rained yet but we were able to test out the drainage system using a hose and it worked as intended.

After the work was complete, water drains away from the patio and sidewalks. Drained water no longer puddles on the south side of the yard. It drains to the front of the property and into the street.

Very good job performance. Arrived on time and completed work in a timely manner. Reasonable and responsive to customer requests. Troy did the work as requested and allowed us to pick out the trees we wanted for planting. Good work at a fair price!!

Troy was punctual. We told him what we had in mind and asked for any additional ideas he might have. He dismissed our ideas and told us what he would do and gave us a verbal estimate.I did not feel good about our conversation at all. Did not feel like he was interested in doing the job we had asked for at all. Would not hire him.
