The young man explained what if anything needed to be repaired or replaced. He even came back and did my neighbors chimmey, they told me he found that if they had not called them, there could have been a fire. They repaired it and now it safe to build a fire.

It was very good. We were very happy with it. He went above and beyond. It was a positive experience.

They did a top notch job. I felt they went above and beyond what I routinely see out there. I was very happy with the service provided. They were also punctual. I had a few errands to run; they were kind enough to wait until I got back to pay them which was very courteous. My family and I were very happy with them. I took their phone and name down so when we need our maintenance done next year I plan on calling them. I would recommend them to any friends or family.

Great service from start to finish.

Stan and his team performed two services for us, both were top notch. First they installed a top down damper to seal up my chimney and keep the warm air in the house when the fireplace is not in use ($425). Next, their masons came out and rebuilt the firebox ($1,000). It looks so great, we've decided to just keep the damper closed with a log in the fireplace for ornament. Perhaps next year, we'll have gas installed. If we do, we'll have Stan and his team do it, because they really now fireplaces, and do excellent and professional work.

We had contacted another company which did not respond before calling Stan's. They weren't "johnny-on-the-spot" either, at first. My turn to be patient - after all, it was January and they were, no doubt quite busy. Glad I did. When it comes to the care and feeding of this 13-year-old stove, Stan's the man!

I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly, and they were able to come on a Saturday - a BIG PLUS for me. They also arrived on time. Stan himself came and he had another individual with him that he was "training". He must have been training him on how to do the least amount of work possible. They walked into our living room, looked at the fireplace box from a distance, and said, "It looks fine. Was that all you needed?" I'm not exaggerating. That is literally what they did. We knew there were some issues with our chimney, so when he unbelievably went to his truck to get the invoice (after being here for 5 minutes), we had to suggest to him that he might want to get his ladder and climb up on our roof to look at the top of the chimney. There was some reluctance about doing this, but eventually they went up there and were there for maybe 10 minutes total. They discovered what we already knew...our chimney cap needed replacing, including removal and replacement of the terra cotta at the top. He got a piece of paper and scribbled $550.00 on it. He then proceeded to tell us not to call for the work until next Spring, as he is too busy this time a year. He assured us that it would be safe to use the fireplace as is until then. $95.00 for 15 minutes of work. I am in the wrong line of business! To be fair, he did have to travel a bit to come to our house. Still, I did not feel we were getting good advice, nor a good service for the money we paid. Since we felt uneasy about his assessment and general lack of wanting to do anything, we had to pay another chimney expert to come to our home. This one was much more thorough, and spent the time necessary to discover a crack in our chimney, which renders it useless. They gave us a substantial quote to fix the whole thing, but also said the work at the top shouldn't cost more than $250.00. They seemed willing to do the work right away if necessary. They also recommended not using the fireplace because the cap was so loose that it could be blown off during a wind storm, causing a house fire! I shudder to think what might have happened if we had followed Stan's advice.

He is very reasonable in his cost and is polite, courteous, and respectful. He was also very prompt and wore shoe covers so that they did not get my floors dirty. I was extremely impressed with him and his service and he was extremely thorough in his work.
