+ 0 moreI was impressed with their professionalism and their timeliness as well as keeping us informed on progress. Unfortunately I still have to put the door back on as that is not the plumbers job.
Description of Work: We needed the water heater replaced. D Martel phoned timely, set up an appointment to review project. Appeared on time and verified that the heater was rusted out and definitely needed replacement. However they noticed that the water heater was too big for the closet and would require the door to be removed before they could extract the old heater. They added that cost in. Repair person came out at the appointed time after phoning to confirm. He was able to remove the door without removing the wall, but it was more difficult than they thought. He completed the job within bid, cleaned up and left on time.

Description of Work: Replaced toilet. Price included install of a new angle stop, Kohler Highline Comfort Height eb toilet and removal of old. In playing phone tag with several plumbing services, D Martel Plumbing provided a toilet recommendation and price quote over the phone with availability. Jason provided fast and professional service. And the 1.28 gpf toilet they installed is amazing. Four months of use and no plunging required :)

Description of Work: I had a leaking water heater, trapped in an elevated water closet behind my forced air heating unit in the garage.....it was a challenge to remove and I was concerned no one would want to tackle the project. They had to disassemble part of the heating unit, but was successful in getting the old tank out and finding a new "slim" tank to replace it. They gave me an estimate and was able to complete it the same day! This is my second time using them and I will be having them replace all my toilets as well. I am a very satisfied customer.

+ 0 moreIt went well, but the technician did not have the part that needed to be replaced.
Description of Work: The technician replaced the pilot assembly which was the most likely cause of the problem. However the unit still would not stay lit. He then replaced his new pilot assembly with my old part and advised me to call a plumper that services that particular water heater. Since he could not fix my water heater there was no charge - not even for his time.

+ -1 moreVery quick clean work, obviously knew what they were doing. I discussed with the plumber the possibility of updating to a tankless system. They gave me a comparison between a tank system and a tankless system and what the upgrade would cost vs replacing the same type of water heater. They would have made twice the money with a tankless system but were very honest about the fact I probably would not recoup the money I put into that type of system. I chose to us a standard 50 gal tank type. They used a thermal blanket I already had, upgraded the strapping and the plumbing connections. I am extremely pleased with their work.
Description of Work: My hot water heater failed after 23 years. I called DMartel on Thur and they had a plumber out first thing next morning. They were very prompt, installed a new water heater within 2 hours and updated the system as well. Very nice plumbers, left everything clean and neat.

Description of Work: We had an upstairs bathtub that was leaking down to the first floor. Called and they came out within 24 hours. On time and professional. Made the repair within an hour. Received a follow up call and thank you card in the mail. Very pleased with their work. Will use them anytime we have plumbing problems.
