Description of Work: We took down the plaster walls because of the repair estimate after new switches, outlets and lights were installed was sky high. When the inspector saw the new wiring that was previously hidden behind the walls, he was very upset. We had to hire another electrician to finish the job.

+ -1 moreJeff Cohen listened to our needs and found a way to meet them within our budget and did not try to convince us of our ignorance and the necessity to spend a lot of money. Thsi house is over 100 years old and very little has been in the way of upgrades or modernization. The house was originally designed for electric heating--large space heaters are still in the walls of each room so the original electric service was more robust than other houses of this vintage. He took apart the modern box and put the necessary components in the old box such that for the time being we will have safer service in the original place on the house.
Description of Work: Existing electrical panel used bullet fuses that were mnfr 1927 He and His assistant, Jesus (12 years expeerience--a journayman himself) upgraded and updated to modern breakers in preparation for a full replacement and rewire some time in the next few years when our resources can afford it. He was pragmatic and allowed me to do the things I am competent to do.
