Description of Work: They removed a huge several-stories-high (dead) box elder tree that was overhanging my small garden and roof. |They tented and protected the plants in the garden. Worked efficiently and professionally. They knew what they were doing. Also they cut up the smaller limbs so I could use the wood in my fire place - and piled them neatly in stacks |Reasonably priced. Cleaned up every thing before they left. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: I have a huge Black Acacia tree in my yard. I contacted Big Chief Tree Service because they had great reviews in my neighborhood. Mr. Peter Rudy (Certified Arborist & License Contractor) came to my house to talk about what I wanted done with my tree. He was incredibly knowledgeable and told me many things about the tree that I did not know. Mr. Rudy outlined a plan for trimming and cabling the tree and gave me an estimate for the work. His skillful crew of 4 arrived on time and worked all day thinning the foliage and trimming this enormous tree. They took all the brush and chipped it and took all the large branches as well. This is the third tree company I have hired for this job. I trim my tree about every 10 years. It is a big big job. I can say without hesitation I will always have Peter take care of my trees. He attended to my concerns about liability for his workers in my yard by explaining his insurance coverage to me. He is very personable and very skilled. I recommend him without reservation.

+ -1 moreTree had been pruned 2 successive times since we have lived in house but the tree was too heavy in the center and needed the canopy raised. Big Chief did a wonderful job both aesthetically and for the health of the tree. Peter is local and supervises his employees very well. It is almost a month adn we have still not received an invoice . He is a very small operation.
Description of Work: prune and thin Lireiodendron (Tulip Tree).

+ -1 morewe first had them out 5 years ago to trim one particular tree, and not only did he remember me, but he totally remembered the tree and what kind it was. he talked so appreciatively about the tree that we now love it even more, and i promise i will call and get it regularly cared for and not get so bad- it was overhanging the driveway so low that cars bumped the branches- as well as scraping the side of our house. Big Chief were out to take care of it within a day or two of my calling them, and cleaned up all stray leaves and branches.
Description of Work: tree shaping and trimming to keep it from scraping up the house, tangling utility lines, and getting in the way of the cars in the driveway.

+ 0 moreHe and his crew arrived promptly when they said they would. They worked hard and cleaned up the debris well afterwards. He only did the work he felt was necessary for the health of the trees and looks towards the long term happiness of the trees and owners.
Description of Work: They trimmed trees, large and small, removed a tree, gave advice on other trees, and hauled away tree debris.
