 + -1 moreI scheduled an appointment with Wayne Walton to come out and estimate landscape work on my property. The first thing he asked me was if the project was under or over $5000 which I thought a little strange. Wayne came out and said that he joined forces with Mills Construction and that any business would be conducted through them which I had no problem with. I gave Wayne a detailed list of the items I wanted a quote on, we walked the property and went over the list and discussed each issue and he told me he would get back to me with a quote. I did not hear from him for over a week so I called twice in the following week and left a message, he never returned my calls or provided me with an estimate. I think the least he could have done was to let me know he wasn?t interested in taking the job.

Started the project on time, suggested some enhancements and added a few things at his own expense. The finished product is great - very nice design by Steve Letz and great job putting it in by Mr. Walton.

 + 2 moreWe had a real disaster of a yard, including a spa with dead things in it, and a deck with rusty nails. Our back yard drained straight towards the house. We got a very good recommendation for Wayne Walton from a friend and from Steven Letz, who did our landscape design. His quote was much lower than our other two bids, and also came in much more promptly. His team was very professional, arriving promptly and leaving things neat every day. Many days, Wayne was at our house working with the team. When we decided we needed to replace a fence and couldn't find our neighbors to talk it over with them, Wayne tracked them down and did that for us. He also tried hard to remain within budget (though that extra fence put us over). The work was finished on time. We are really enjoying having such nice views from our windows now, being able to enjoy our yard, and being able to entertain.
Description of Work: We had an old spa and deck removed. Then they installed a new patio, fencing, shade structure, plants, drainage, and lights in the back. In the front, we have a new walk and seating area made of pavers, a low stucco wall with wooden gate, plus some grass and plantings. It looks great!

Description of Work: I was referred to Walton Landscape by landscape architect Steven Letz, someone I selected from Angies List. Steven's design plan was great, and Walton Landscape made it come to life. The plan included an extensive drainage system, irrigation system, a new driveway, a new patio, new walkways, fencing, and of course plants for the front, back and side yards. Wayne Walton, the owner of Walton Landscape, started and ended the project on time. He closely supervised the project. He is a hands-on type of guy who was working on the project, with his crew, every day. He made recommendations that made the project better than the original plan. Unforeseen problems can be expected to occur in any project this large. These problems were addressed professionally and fairly by Wayne. Changes to the the price of materials were usually my fault, due to me modifying the original plan. The end result exceeded my expectations. My neighbors have complimented me on the appearance of the landscape and hardscape. Wayne was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him, without hesitation, to anyone considering a landscape project.

Description of Work: We purchased this home in July and our backyard was a JUNGLE. We wanted to maximize our canyon view and the size of our lot. There was a TON of hauling as well as grading that needed to be done. I got 3 quotes and not only was Walton Landscaping the cheapest, he beat them by 1000's!!! Wayne was more than accomadating and helped us get the most bang for our buck. We used Steve Letz as the landscape arcitect and Wayne matched it exactly! I can't wait til spring when all of the plants will be in full bloom. I would HIGHLY recommend.

 + 1 moreWayne executed a landscape design plan from Steve Letz (also great!). We were preparing for a vacation so he worked weekends in order to complete the job before we left. His crew was great, everyone was friendly and professional and they cleaned up at the end of each day. Wayne worked with us to ensure that we had all the elements we wanted and suggested improvements to the original plan which we implemented. Since he completed the original job we have had him back to do additional work, and at that time he replaced a handful of the original plants that weren't doing well at no cost. Our yard looks absolutely fabulous and we enjoy it every day. We highly recommend Wayne to anyone who is looking for a landscape contractor!

 + 0 moreExcellent. Wayne and his crew worked very efficiently to remove all the old landscape and install the new. So far the landscaping uses about half the water as before (and that was not watered regularly). Plus the front and back yards look very good, and all the plants are growing well.
Description of Work: Complete removal of existing landscape and implementation of landscape and hardscape plan by Steve Letz Design. He installed some new brickwork, cobble swales in the front yard along with some flagstone walkways, and a concrete driveway extension; built a 4'x4' raised herb garden; planted a small area of Bermuda grass, over 400 plants, three trees and ground cover; and installed irrigation and lighting.

 + -1 moreHe is very professional. His employees, who are not sub contracted, are paid well and expected to behave in a certain way. They were extremely polite and courteous. They always showed up one time at 7am and staying until 3pm. They always cleaned up after themselves. Wayne worked along with me and he was excellent, I can't say enough about him. I tried to get him earlier than August but he was booked until then. I have already recommended him.

We had just recovered from a desasterious experience with another very high-profile landscaping company who charged us with endless onsite visits, and after 15 months nothing had been done. That's when I called in Wayne who did my front yard as well. Within 3 weeks he had accomplished everything...he goes above and beyond the scope of work. Not only can he build anything, he has a very good "eye" for design and saved many of my plants and replanted them. He is polite, respectful, punctual and tidy. My backyard is now a glorious area! He even planted a "scent" area for me. He's a gem....
Description of Work: Walton Landscaping replaced concrete steps w/flagstone pavers, new garden lights, new sprinkler system, moved plants, replanted roses, new concrete floor in gazebo, retaining wall.

He immediately impressed me on our first visit during the visit process. Out of the four landscape contractors we originally had bidding our project he was the only one who noticed potential problems with our initial plan and took my input on the project seriously. He also does not over book and starts a project when he says he will or even earlier since he books his projects in such a way that he allows plenty of time--this also means you have roughly a 2 month lead time before your project gets started. Wayne and his crew are incredible workers who go above and beyond any expectations I may have had. Throughout the project he continued to notice little details that other companies would likely have neglected. Unfortunately, I don't have enough space to relate just how SUPERB Wayne Walton is!!!!
