Description of Work: Martin Lynn Roofing installed new roof on my 1926 home 17 years ago--asphalt shingle and pebble plus clay tile detail. I recently received a letter from my new homeowner's insurance company requesting inspection by licensed contractor. Martin confirmed roof had at least another 5 years of life. Plus, he made a couple of tar and pebble backfill updates to ensure longevity.

+ -1 moreOverll, I have mixed feelings about this provider. I originally throughly trusted him and his work, but now other providers who have done work for me have said that he overcharged me for the work performed. He was very nice and personable, but I probably would not use him again as I feel he overcharged me for the work he did. The person who referred me to his company was extremely happy with his work, which was several years ago. At that time, the company was perhaps smaller, and Mr. Lynn did a lot of the work himself..... this was not the case with the work this company did for me, which was primarily done by different company employees.
Description of Work: This company re-roofed 4 small sheds on our property for $1550.... I thought their work was good and so I asked them to give me an estimate on re-roofing our chicken coop.... from the way the owner talked, i thought he was going to put plywood on the existing roof, then roofing paper, and finally the roofing material itself... he quoted me $450, explaining that the work was difficult due to the condition of the existing roof, etc. I needed to be gone for part of the day, and when i returned, the work was "completed." Mr. Lynn was back the very next work day to collect his pay. I then reminded him that he had not put flashing around the chicken coop roof. He promised to get back within the next day or two.... It took several phone calls from me and about 3 weeks, for him to get back to install the flashing. He apoligized profusely for the delay, and refunded me $100. I have since discovered that Martin Roofing did not install either plywood, and perhaps not even roofing paper under the roll roofing.... I have further discovered that even $350 for this small roof (approx. 15' by 15') was an excessive price for the work performed. At this time, I do not actually know the quality of the roofing of the 4 sheds, as I cannot see underneath the roll-roofing to confirm that plywood/paper was also installed. Even for the the sheds, I had to call and complain that the flashing was not installed completely on one of the sheds.... although it finally was installed.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. We had a big leak and they came pretty quickly and did the job in one day and when it rained again there was no leak. We have a flat roof which more difficult to repair and seal properly and he did that beautifully and cleaned everything up.
Description of Work: They came out and reroofed an extension to my house.

+ -1 moreMARTIN LYNN ROOF COMPANY DID A GOOD JOB IN REPAIRING THE LEAK IN OUR TILE ROOF. IT WAS EASY TO SCHEDULE AN IMMEDIATE APPOINTMENT. THEY WERE ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL AND TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM FOR A REASONABLE PRICE

+ -1 moreTHIS IS ONE OF THE MOST PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS BUSINESSES I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. THEY WERE PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, AND COMPLETELY THOROUGH IN THEIR WORK. THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB AND PAID GREAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL. THEY MADE SUGGESTIONS THAT IMPROVED OUR HOME'S INSULATION AND MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN KEEPING US COOLER IN THE SUMMER AND WARMER IN THE WINTER. THEY WERE EXTREMELY THOROUGH IN CLEANING UP AFTER EACH DAY'S WORK.
Description of Work: ROOFED ENTIRE 2600 SQUARE FOOT HOUSE WITH 40 YEAR COMPOSITE SHINGLE. PORTIONS OF ROOF WERE FLAT AND SEALED WITH TORCH DOWN TECHNIQUE. RECOMMENDED AND INSTALLED INSULATION IN FLAT ROOF AREA BEFORE SEALING. PAINTED AND TRIMMED ALL PIPES, VENTS, AND SKYLIGHTS TO MATCH ROOF COLOR.
