HOUSE OF AUTOMATION

I just called to get some information on my gate as it had their sticker on it from the previous owner. The lady couldn't find any information about it and was pretty rude and not very helpful at all. I will look at other gate companies to service my gate.

I asked how much this was going to cost he said he would put the numbers together and we would need to replace 2 photocell sensors. I had done some research and found the photocell replacement from Elite for 149.00 each. I was told it would be cheaper to get two and replace both, but no estimate was give to how much they were going to charge for the new photocell installation. Monday, March 1 at 1618 we recieve a faxed invoice for 951.88 and a demand to pay the invoice. We were appalled especially since we did not get an estimate nor did we give permission to replace the two photocells. We called on Tues. March 2 and were told that in addition to the 951.88 there was an additional 254.00 for Saturday's visit. We never recieved a phone call or estimate for work to be done. The 2 photocells were replaced in concrete without our permission. We were told that the invoice could be reduced to 651.88 plus the service call on Saturday for 254.00. The tech was only on the property for 15minutes by the time I walked out to the gate he was gone they charge,127.00 per hour and admitted that the tech was not on our property for more that that. We were told on Friday the tech had the photocells in the truck and could be replaced at the first visit. We spoke to the owner and was told the amount could be reduced but we weren't satisfied with the quote stated above , we were told that the tech would be coming over immediately to remove the photocells. When I came home after 1800 the photocells had not been removed as stated earlier by owner of company. No monies have been paid, the owner never called us back or faxed a new invoice.
