The other company was actually a better price, so I'd probably use the other company.

They just finished up and did an excellent job. They waited until the right time of the year. They didn't want to do it when I first ordered it. They did a very good job. Price was good. It took time but I agreed to it. It took several months to come around but I found out that trees have to be cut at a certain time. They came exactly when they said they would.

Excellent! They were very professional and fast. Understood our concerns and were courteous and accommodating.

Joe was punctual, polite, and did a bang up job on our tree! One of the three trunks of the tree had started to lean on the eaves of our house. So in effort to save the tree, Joe and his team put in a couple of cables to fix the issue. Tree saved, damage to the house averted. Thanks, again, Joe!

Talked with someone from the company and he was so helpful and instructive that in the end, I didn't need his service and was able to handle myself. Tells me this is an honest company. If ever I need this kind of service again, I know where I am going!

I am very pleased with Mr. Jonas and his crew. I had been looking a long time for the right company to come and trim a 60+ year-old pepper tree planted by my grandfather that had sadly fallen into neglect. I am very pleased (as is my grandfather). Mr. Jonas has an artist's eye for balance and scale, and the tree looks beautiful now. He called when he said he would, and showed up on time. He was there the whole time overseeing his courteous crew for the two days it took to revive the pepper tree and Yucca. Very impressed!

Joe, the owner, came out and provided me with a thorough evaluation of what work he recommended and the rationale for what he was proposing. He spent a good hour looking at the trees I needed to have work on and provided me with a great education on how to properly take care of the different species of trees on my property. This was all before I had even decided to hire his services. On the day of performing the work, Joe came out and introduced me to the rest of his team who would be working for me. They were all very professional and did an excellent job of preparation and protecting the areas around the trees, fences and surrounding vegetation. Joe remained on site for most of the job. They talked to my neighbors and answered their questions and alleviated any concerns they might be having. Clean up was superb on my property as well as my neighbors. My tress never looked so good.

When our small church contacted Joe Jonas of Considerate Tree Care, we had trees that needed extra care, including a cedar which had been badly pruned by another company, and others which had been affected by the drought. We consulted several contractors and decided to go with Considerate Tree Care because of the care that owner Joe Jonas took with his examination and diagnoses of what the trees needed during our initial consultation with him. It was our first experience working with an arborist instead of a regular tree trimmer, and it was eye-opening. Joe Jonas educated us in how to read the early signs of drought stress in a tree, and how to fertilize and water our mature trees for a good outcome in years to come. The time he took and the knowledge he shared showed us how much he cares about the long term welfare of the trees he trims. The job needed 1 1/2 days to complete; Joe and his crew showed up on time and worked with efficient expertise answering questions and sharing advice with good cheer. After both days of work, they left the areas where they had worked on our property and in the street cleaner than when they started. I can't say enough good things about this company and wish them the very best in the future. It's companies like this that make me glad that Angies List exists, to let the wider community know about how great a business like this is. The crew showed up on time, and were very polite and professional. The owner, Joe Jonas, was here to ensure that the work was done to my satisfaction. The trimming and clean up were done extremely well, and I intend to use this company in the future, to take ongoing care of my treasured plants and tree!

We are extremely pleased with the job done by Considerate Tree Care. Our trees had been neglected for years and as a result were in very bad shape. Prior to beginning the work, the owner of the company came out to inspect and spent considerable time with us making suggestions and answering all of our questions. We found him to be very personable and knowledgable. The workers were prompt, professional, and meticulous. In fact, they left the yard cleaner than they found it. I initially contacted Joseph of Considerate Tree Care back in May to assess a large podocarpus tree and a large magnolia tree that were in the back and front garden of a house that my husband and I wanted to purchase. His assessment was that the podocarpus tree is too large and its tap root can damage the concrete slab however the beautiful magnolia could be kept. After we purchased the house, Joseph and his crew came back to do the job. They brought all the equipment needed to do the job safely and correctly. The large tree was very close to one of the rooms in the house but they were extremely careful and professional. The trim on the magnolia tree was also so professionally done that the tree looks very beautiful. They also cleaned up thoroughly after work. Joseph is knowledgeable, patient, and well organized. I highly recommend him and his crew and will definitely use Considerate Tree Care again.

Finally found a tree service that I can depend on. One call and a visit was made to assess my trees. A day later and the job was done. Now - granted - timing between other jobs can be everything, but I was so grateful to have the job completed so quickly. Joe is full of wonderful information regarding trees, gardening, water issues, etc. His crew did a beautiful job and left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived.

Joseph came and gave us a very extensive consultation about the trees and what he felt should be done. He also encouraged us to get estimates from other companies and gave us information about questions we should ask before having anyone do the work. The trimmers, Jodie and Todd, came on the day scheduled, even arriving 15 minutes early and had most of the work done by the time they left that day. Joe also came that day and talked with us and the workers about the work and our plans to install solar panels. They came a few minutes early again the next day to complete the cleanup and were done in a few hours. They were friendly, courteous and efficient and worked very hard. When they finished, Joseph came to verify that everything was completed and cleaned up and that we were happy with the work. The job was completed in the time promised and at the price quoted, even though we asked them to cut the trees shorter than originally discussed to help with our planned solar installation. My husband and I are very pleased with Considerate Tree Care and the job they did and we will recommend them to others.

Not only were Joe and his crew a pleasure to work with, the whole experience was educational. Joe shares his years of tree care knowledge and that helped us understand the process he needed to do to help our trees. Our elm is quite old and preservation was the key. Joe not only showed us the problems with past trimmings but explained exactly why and how he intended to proceed with our tree. When finished there was quite a difference! Even passers by remarked it was like art/architecture. The bay now looks beautiful and is trimmed so light and air are available to the tree. Joe even installed a special swing bolt as a present for our grand kids. If you want years of experience combined with a careful crew and a personable professional to take care of your trees, this company is the one for you.

Joe and his crew were friendly, professional and did a great job on our trees. They were on time and did a great job on all the trees and the giant bird of paradise. They also cleaned up afterwards and the yard looks great! The Jacaranda tree was overgrown and Joe trimmed and thinned it back making it look beautiful again. One thing to note is that when you call for scheduling or quotes, Joe returns calls on certain days of the week. Joe will always call back but keep in mind that he goes to every job site to oversee the project and can't always take calls or return calls right away. As a customer, I appreciate that because I know he's focusing on my job while he's here. We will certainly call Joe for all our future tree trimming needs.

I have a giant mulberry tree that was in terrible shape -- very overgrown, poorly balanced, and bearing a large wound at the base of the trunk. Also, a new tree that was planted 1-1/2 years ago by Atlas Tree was never properly staked, so it blew over several times. My wife and I secured it incorrectly, so the tree was not thriving. Joe was amazing! He responded immediately to my messages and calls, showed up when he said he would, provided excellent education about trees and tree care, gave fair and accurate quotes for his work, did brilliant work on my trees, and followed up a few days later to see how I felt about his work. I love this guy -- he is a true professional, his knowledge of trees and plants is unbelievable, and he is a good and kind human being -- truly thoughtful and caring. Joe will have my business as long as I live within range of his services.

They arrived on time and worked to mid afternoon. They covered all of the adjoining plants to protect them. They cleaned up the area beautifully. The trees look beautiful, and we were given great instruction on care and feeding. Prior to having the work done we purchased fertilizers recommended by Jonas at Hydro Scape . Mentioning his name we were given a discount. We would very highly recommend Jonas and his team. They did a beautiful job on our trees. We will use them again.

Joe and his crew did an amazing job trimming my trees. His knowledge and passion for doing the job "right" was so appreciated. Joe is hands on supervising the work and will not leave until he and you are happy. Would use him again without hesitation.

Joseph came and gave an estimate on the trees we needed trimmed. We had never had tree experts trim these trees (carrotwood, apple, guava), so they were overgrown in bad ways. While we had a little sticker shock, his reputation and his knowledge of trees gave us confidence that it was worth doing, and we are very glad we did. He and his crew showed up on time and began work promptly. They were efficient. The trees went from being ragged (and badly needing any kind of trim - which is what we'd scrimped on in the past and just had day laborers hack away) to being shaped, thinned in the right way, and downright beautiful. It was such a dramatic transformation that even 3 weeks later I marvel every time I look at the trees -- had no idea they could look so beautiful. Joseph shared other information regarding how to improve the apple tree (e.g., clearing some of the grass below and helping the drainage for it) and ideas on covering an ugly fence - he is a good source of information and ideas and easy to work with. I'm delighted with their work and all in all it was a very pleasant experience.
