I called to get an estimate over the phone. They showed up on a Saturday to take a look. After comparing with a few other companies and estimates I went with Considerate Tree Care. They were able to get out to my home to trim the palm tree within a few days. They were on time and did a good job and gave us tips on watering and care for the future. They did just what we needed.

Joe did a great job. He came out and gave a detailed estimate and took his time to walk around the property. Then we set a date for him and his guys to come out. They did a terrific job and cleaned up and were gone by the end of the day. Everything done as promised. Will definitely have them out again next time.

Joe came over, examined the tree and sampled the soil with a soil probe. He then provided a prescription of what steps needed to be taken, regarding watering and fertilization, the type of fertilizer and mulch needed to bring these trees back to health. He took the extra step of speaking with the Gardener who services our backyard and explained to him, exactly what needed to be done. I took a PH and moisture reading of the area and the soil is acidic. I contacted Joe and he made some further recommendations and also suggested a plant pathologist, where I could bring a soil sample. In short, Joe is extremely knowledgeable, caring and responsive. I would definitely hire him again.

This company was very helpful in getting two giant ficus trees under control. Ironically, they did not do the job, but encouraged myself and my family to get the mobile home park to take the responsibility to fix the problem. They were helpful in giving us a probable cost and evaluating that the trees were indeed a problem beyond maintenance issues, even though they knew they probably would not get the job themselves. Kudos for social responsibility.

Mr Jonas and team: Tommy and Todd were excellent and very personable professional wonderful people. It is not just about doing the job it was about doing it right with attention to details and the safety of the crew and my property. It was very windy when they cut the palm trees and I was concern that they may have to reschedule the project. With gusting cold wind of 10-20 miles per hour, they got it done with no damage to my property or them getting hurt. After cleanup was awesome. I couldn’t even tell there were two palm trees just got cleared. Thank you and thank you so much for supporting the military and Veterans. P.S. Mr Jonas also gave me ideas on how to incorporate the tree stumps into my backyard decor/ DIY. I love and have fairy garden so I might transform them into a much larger fairy house or into totem poles, or carve my kids face on it. For now, it will hold my succulent basket planter.

It went well, although I ended up being informed about a wider array of issues -- of a negative nature -- than anticipated. This will however leave me better prepared to pursue appropriate solutions. If it grows in the ground on your property, and you think there might be some serious issues with it, Joseph is definitely someone you want to consult about it.

Joe and his crew Todd and Matt were exceptional and very easy to work with. Joe is a wealth of knowledge in regards to the care of trees, including watering and fertilizing needs. I loved talking with him and learning more about taking care of my trees. Joe quoted a price range and he kept within that range. There were no surprises. The work was done at our home in Mira Mesa, a suburb of San Diego, California. The photos are just one of the trees they trimmed. It's the Inga (before and after).

Joe's crew did a great job Showed up as scheduled and worked very hard. when they finished the cleanup left the area spotless. Joe is extremely knowledgable and friendly. Best service I have gotten from anyone in recent memory. I couldn't be more pleased.

Joe and his staff arrived on time with the proper equipment to do our job correctly. They were very efficient and friendly. Owner Joe Johns was on site the entire time making sure the job was done correctly. They were about 6 1/2 hours and cleaned up after themselves.

Joe went to my home to give me a free estimate to remove two king palm trees in my backyard. After he looked at the location of the palm trees, he convinced me that I should keep these palm trees. Joe could have made money by removing these two palm trees. I really appreciated his honest opinion. Joe also talked about the importance of proper watering levels and fertilization strategy. I was so impressed by his knowledge that I decided to hire him to do a Professional Tree Health and Risk Assessment. Joe checked the watering levels in my front and back yards using soil probe. He showed me that the watering levels in my front yard were too dry. As a result, the head sizes of the 7 queen palm trees have shrunk and the tips of the leaves have turned yellow. The watering levels in my back yard were too wet. As a result, some of the Orange rinds split open and made the fruits inedible. I used to water my yards 6-9 minutes a day, 7 days a week. Joe asked me to change it to 42-63 minutes a day, once a week so that the water can reach at least 6 inches down to the roots. The total monthly watering cost remain the same. Joe's service didn't end with the home visit. He followed up with phone calls to answer the questions I had. I am really glad that I hired Joe to do the Professional Tree Health and Risk Assessment for me. He has saved my trees. I recommend him highly.

Joe and two helpers were on time, very methodical and considerate of our needs. Yard was left tidy and we were happy. Pricing is higher than most but putting men in trees is expensive (think insurance).

Our Jacaranda impinges on the city street light and must be cut back or face fines. It's a delicate balance of maintaining & pleasing symmestry to the tree's shape & pulling back from the light. Considerate Tree Care accomplished the goals in superb fashion.

Joe, the arborist, and his 2 helpers arrived on time. He reviewed the property and discussed what needed to be done, ie: trimming, pruning, fertilization, proper irrigation. The team was efficiently and meticulously. Everyone was professional and friendly. Easy to have on the property. Clean up was excellent.

I hire Joe Jonas every year to prune trees and bushes etc. that I can't. He's extremely knowledgeable about any landscape issue. He's positive, energetic and honest.

Joseph recommended deep root feeding before trimming, since my Australian willow was not all that healthy at the time. That was performed in March, and after a couple of months, the tree responded. My schedule added further delay, but eventually the trimming took place in August. Joe and his crew did a wonderful job! My tree is happier, now, and so am I. They were meticulous, professional, and caring throughout both phases. All of the dead wood was removed, and branches trimmed away were selected carefully with the expertise of an experienced arborist. Joe took a lot of time explaining his recommendations and decisions to me, all along the way. Cleanup was thorough, as well.

The crew was great, they showed up on time, worked really hard, cleaned up after themselves and made my tree look beautiful. They trimmed and cleaned up the Hawthorne as well.

They're friendly and caring, very professional. They care about our property and the property of our neighbors as well. We have used their service for 22 years.

Joe and his crew did an excellent job thinning the tree. They then put a barrier in the ground against roots growing toward the house and cut the offending roots. Joe is knowledgeable, explains what will be done and why, and takes care of whatever tree problems there are. He freed a wild bush tangled in my chain link fence and shaped another small tree. I highly recommend Considerate Tree Care!

We initially hired Joe to diagnose problems with our eugenias - and based on his recommendation, we hired someone to treat them for a psyllid infestation. While he was at our house, he remarked that the three large Chinese elms in our front yard needed a serious haircut (and also suggested changes to our watering pattern.) He and his crew spent two days trimming those large trees, and did a beautiful job. Everyone was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I have to admit that I was (and still am) a little shocked at how much was taken off of those trees, but it's obvious Joe knows what he's doing. We would hire him again without hesitation.

He and his staff did a strategic pruning to take the weight off but still maintain the look of the tree. They were prompt, pleasant and did a through job of cleaning up the job site. Joseph instructed us on how to build a brace to the tree to prevent further leaning.

We first contacted Considerate Tree Care when our avocado tree was damaged by strong wind. Joe came for a consult and gave his advice on not only the avocado tree (now smaller but healthy), but other trees and plants in our yard. He also pointed out that our recently trimmed sycamores and crepe myrtle were poorly trimmed (i.e., lion-tailed). The following season, we contacted Joe to trim those trees again, this time properly, and with the goal of correcting the damage that was done by the previous company. His price was reasonable, and we scheduled the work during a good time of year for the trees. Joe and his crew arrived promptly and was professional. Unlike the previous company we hired, the work done by Considerate Tree Care was supervised by Joe himself, a licensed arborist. We plan on calling Considerate Tree Care for all of our tree services, and gladly recommend him to others.

Considerate Tree Care is a very appropriate name for this company. Joe, the owner, spent two hours with me on the initial visit to discuss not just the trees I needed trimming, but other issues in my yard. He proposed a careful trimming of the trees so that they could naturally recover from the previous bad cutting. The trees look very good now. We just had a huge storm (2/17-18/2017) and the trees stood up very well. The trimming was done properly, because we got nothing but twigs in the yard after the storm.
