ChimTech is a full-service company for your individual fireplace and chimney needs. Our technician, Jan (the Swede) Richardson, has been in the fireplace industry since 1985. He gives you personal, customized service which includes project design, sales and installation of gas- and wood-burning inserts, free-standing stoves, pellet stoves and prefabricated fireplaces. Additionally, he sells and installs fireplace dampers, chimney flue caps, heat shields and other accessories to keep your fireplace performing efficiently and economically. Expert repairs are performed on masonry fireplaces, wood and gas stoves, and pre-fabricated fireplaces. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Jan can help you troubleshoot problems or design a fireplace solution for maximum heat, efficiency and beauty. ChimTech offers “boutique” service with competitive pricing.

He was highly referred by another chimney company who did not do this specialty work. He was always on time and good about calling ahead of time and emailing to confirm. He is extremely honest and knows exactly what is needed. His quotes are always right on and reasonable. He is very trustworthy and always fits me right in to his schedule even though he is very busy. He is one of the only guys able to do the kind of work he does.
Description of Work: He repaired the family room fireplace, since it was leaking. He sealed off whatever was causing the problem on the inside so we could have fires in the fireplace again. At another visit he installed three chimney caps on our very tall house. And an additional visit in the past he installed three dampers in the fireplaces.
