CALIFORNIA RAIN GUTTERS

Called and said they would arrive around 9 to 9:30. Called again and said they would arrived by about 10:30. Arrived and removed old gutters and installed new gutters. Took about 7.5 hours. As the work was taking place I discovered they had dropped an old gutter on top of my central air conditioner and damaged the cover including putting holes in it. I also discovered they broke a sprinkler. The gutters appear to be professional installed and look good. I put a hose in some of the gutters and they did not leak however several gutters had about 1/2 inch standing water in them. I picked up about 15 long nails on the grass after they left. I also discovered my main cable had been removed and simply wraped around a vent pipe. I asked the owner to put it back the way the cable company installed it. He said he did. It looked ok from the ground. The next day I got a step ladder to check it. It was hooked to the top of the gutter with one screw and a clip similar to a paper clip. It appears ready to fall down into the street. I called the cable company and they are coming out to repair the cable. They did not offer to pay for any repairs. I did deduct $20 from the bill however it will cost me over $100 to replace the damaged air conditioner cover.

They did the work very quickly and professionally. They offered to replace the roof beam also, but since it was barely cracked, we didn't see the need for that. The gutter color matches the house, so we didn't need to paint the gutter. The only change is that the gutter now slopes down a bit on the right, which the contractor said is necessary for drainage.

I had a concern about the placement of one of the downspouts. They were responsive- sent someone to look at it and listen to me- but a week later, I am still waiting to hear when they will fix it. I havent paid yet, though, so I expect they will. Ill re-rate then.

THEY WERE HAPPY TO PRICE MATCH, AND SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THE GUTTERS ARE BEAUTIFUL, WITH WHITE ONES MATCHING THE EAVES, AND CREAM DOWNSPOUTS MATCHING THE ADOBE WALLS. AFTER THE FIRST RAIN THERE WAS SOME POOLING AGAINST THE BASE OF THE HOME. THEY SENT A PAIR OF GUYS OUT WITHIN THREE DAYS TO RE-DESIGN AND DIRECT THE WATER 75 FEET AWAY. THEY CHARGED ME $250 FOR THIS ADDITIONAL VISIT, WHICH SEEMED FAIR GIVEN THE ADDITIONAL MATERIALS NEEDED.

THEY SEEMED A LITTLE EXPENSIVE AND THEY TOOK SOMETIME TO GET TO ME. IT SEEMED THAT MY JOB WAS NOT AS IMPORTANT TO THEM AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED IT TO BE.

I HAD THIS COMPANY COME OUT AND HAD THEM CLEAN THE BACK GUTTERS.
