I split the cost with my neighbor. They did a great job. The quality of their work was good, he showed up on time, and got the work done in the allotted amount of time. We had to schedule about six weeks out because he's so popular.

We had 4 bids on the replacement of the fence in our yard and Bill Junger's estimate was $300.00 lower then all of the other bids. Bill was very easy to have working in our yard. He arrived early and worked very hard. The job was completed in under two days. We are planning on painting the fence and part of it was going to be difficult to paint after it was up so Bill dropped planks off to us early so we could paint them before they went up. This was without asking for any money up front. We plan on replacing the fence on the other side of the yard next year and will definitely call on C and J Fence Company again.

I liked the work they did. Very fast and professional. They used metal posts instead of the wood posts that came with the house. I'm hoping this will hold up better. I got 2 bids and they both were for about the same amount, so I think I probably paid a fair price.

I tried twice to contact this company, calling on different dates and trying both telephone numbers. Each time, I left voice mail messages; in my second message, I requested that if the company does not work in my area, they call me back and let me know. I have received no response whatsoever. I suppose they may have gone out of business, but both phone numbers are apparently still in use. I am not impressed.

I apologize for not getting back to you. I am still in business and do not make it my practice to not return phone calls. This is usually a very busy time and occasionally being a one man company I do get overwhelmed with calls, however I do my very best to respond to all phone calls in a timely manner. I apologize once again for not getting a hold of you.

I called C&J Fence to ask them if they could move a backyard wood fence five feet forward on the property. Bill came out and looked at the job and said he could certainly move the fence and preserve the original wood planks which were in good condition. The job was done on time and the fence was moved using the original materials plus some additional fence boards for the sides of the fence. The price was as quoted and very reasonable. I would certainly have C&J do more work for me whenever necessary.

Bill is awesome! He only quotes you what you need, shows up on time, knows his stuff about fencing, and does an excellent job for a fair price. He replaced the chewed up fence boards and moved 10 existing ones from the fence behind our backyard shed. That way the boards all looked the same (weathered), and he then put the brand new boards behind the shed where no one will see them - smart idea! He installed 3 stainless steel poles set in quick-drying concrete to keep the side fence sturdy. He also replaced some wet-rot bender board near our shrubs.
Description of Work: Termites had chewed up ~10 of our backyard fence boards. In addition, ~3-4 4x4 fence posts had rotted and the fence needed more support

The overall job was not what I expressed to Bill that I wanted. At the time Bill quoted the job I mentioned that my husband built the existing fence (wood) and because he was not the expert I lived with the fence being uneven at the top and not contour or taper at the bottom. I told Bill that I wanted a straight line across the top and the bottom to be tapered to accommodate the incline; Bill said he could do that, no problem. We scheduled the installation for 7/30 and I took a vacation day so I could be home when Bill installed the fence. Bill called on 7/29 to tell me that he may not be able to install because the material may not get delivered until the afternoon of the 30th and that if Friday would be OK to install, I said yes that would be Ok. When I arrived home that afternoon, I was very disappointed and I immediately called Bill to express my dissatisfaction. The gate was obviously too small for the opening. I could put 2 fingers between the gate and the gate posts - about a 1-3/4" gap on both sides of the gate. The gate was not level (straight across the top). The gate bottom because he did not taper the gate on the incline had a gap from one side to the other of about 4" to 2-1/2". Bill did frankenstein the gate and attached a piece of material (from the gate panel, I suppose) to the bottom of the fence to hide the obvious gap at the bottom! . . . and the gate was wobbly! . . . he did not put stabilizers at the gate posts to minimize the movement of the hallow gate posts. And the fence on the other side with not gate and no challenge of an incline - that fence was not level either! Bill insisted that he must have misunderstood what I wanted. Before our discussion on Monday (8/3) Bill did tell me that he could fix the gate problem by adding material to the sides of the gate to close the gap but I told him I did not want him to frankenstein the fence anymore. So after a lengthy conversation we decided to meet on Monday (8/3) morning. Upon meeting on Monday I told Bill the reason I went with C&J Fence is because the company was an A-lister on Angie's list, license, bonded and insured; and that of the 2 companies from Angie's list the deciding factor was that he had glowing comments about his work and work ethic where the other company had none this was the only reason I went with him. I told him I didn't know how he could have misunderstood because the other 2 quotes I obtained both showed the straight top and the tapered bottom - because those things were important to me. Bill said that he wanted to make the job right and that he would have to order new material. and I told him that I should not have to pay for his oversight. So against my better judgement, I agreed to let him try and fix the job. Bill called me from the vinyl company to tell me the material would cost $504.00. I agreed to pay half of the material cost, I don't know why? I felt sorry for him . . . I wanted the job done so I could move on! But a couple days later I called Bill to ask about the fence and he said that the vinyl company was, in his words, 'slammed with work' and gave me the impression that it would be a few more days before he could work on the fence - I said OK and hung up, but I was angry. So about 1/2 hour later I called Bill to tell him I didn't feel comfortable about him completing the job - and that again I would have to reschedule my stucco job. I said that if the vinyl company started cutting the material I was only willing to pay his highest quote of $1360. (If I were to have paid for initial installation of $1266 and the extra $204 he was charging me for his oversight I would be paying $1517 a $157.00 more than his highest quote for a 7' fence.) Bill called me back to tell me that he cancelled the vinyl job. He was obviously upset that I cancelled the job but I told Bill that I did not think it fair that he would charge me for his oversight - what was fair about that. I told him that I was not trying to burn him but I didn't want to get burned either and that I was sorry that it didn't work out. I also told Bill that I would have his fence removed and call him when it was available for pickup. I also labored about whether to publish this writing because initially I was not going to because Bill was a nice guy - he just did not do the job I hired him to do.
Description of Work: Installation of approx 20' of vinyl fencing; 10' on the north side of our house and 10' on the south side of the house which would include a gate and fence to be built on an incline.

Bill came out to give an estimate for fencing and during this time he located the property lines. Another company would not take the time to do this. Some trees were in the way where the new fencing was going and he worked around this and the other local company wanted the trees trimmed before they would do the fencing. Bill is a great guy and I am very pleased with the work. I love the new fence, it looks great!

Bill was very prompt in arriving at the appointed hour to conduct an assessment of work, provide alternative solutions, and estimate the cost of work. Ultimately, we decided to go with a style of gate we saw a photo of online. We sent this photo to Bill and he agreed to craft our gate along this style. A few weeks later Bill arrived and erected the completed gate and it totally met/exceeded our expectations. It had a small lock on it and was tuned to swing closed slowly. In addition, Bill fixed an annoying latch problem on a separate wooden gate which provided access to our backyard. This was a nice "above and beyond" touch we really appreciated.

Bill came out on time to give me an estimate. He gave me a 'replace' estimate, and a 'repair' estimate. I chose the repair. He arrived on time on the day assigned sawed off the rusted part of each post and replaced inside a sleeve attached to a flange which bolted in to the concrete. (he had prefabricated these in his shop)He then welded at the joint to prevent water leaking down and causing the same problem. Cleaned up and was completed in 1/3 the time estimated, and charged me only $325 instead of the estimate of $750. Totally professional job with which I am delighted.

Bill quickly returned my call, scheduled an appointment at my convenience, was on time, clear, concise and very reasonable. His appearance is very casual (because he does the work himself), but don't be put off by this. He is professional to the core. Once we agreed on the scope of work and the cost estimate, he installed the gate within a few days, without me being home. The quality of his work and the material he used was flawless! He even worked around the challenging landscaping, sprinklers and yard lights with no issues. If you don't go with Bill Junger and C&J Fencing you are making a mistake!

The fence looks amazing. I got three estimates for this job, and his was the best price. He was also the only one I considered doing vinyl versus wood. He came across competent and easy to work with (versus the condescending attitude I got from another guy I got an estimate from). He arrived on time, did the entire job in about 6-1/2 hours. I am so glad we were able to get the low maintenance vinyl. This is a huge improvement to the front of the house. More than anything though, it's his attitude I most appreciate.
Description of Work: Bill Jungers put in a vinyl fence on the inside curve of our U-shaped driveway. He suggested we purchase new low voltage lights to top the posts versus re-using the ones we had (though he would have figured out how to incorporate the old lights had we wanted to go that route). Those new lights made all the difference, and for that reason alone I'm glad he did the work. Note he gave me a source for the lights and I was very pleased with the choices and prices. Price listed above includes the money I spent on the lights. He also cleaned up everything, and hauled the old fencing away. He also gave me some advice on a DIY project I'm doing (flooring) and provided a recommendation for a mason when I asked if he knew anyone.

Owner does the work. He came out, measured, showed us options and made recommendations. We selected the redwood fence with lattice top. He came out and took the old fence out and away and installed supports. We needed to get some additional plants and tree roots out and it was no problem to delay the install of the new fence for a week. Bill came back and installed the fence in 2 days. The bill was the same as the estimate.
Description of Work: Great experience. Timely. Professional. Best price in town and great quality. We put in approximately 80 feet of redwood fencing. Looks just like the picture he showed us. Very happy.

Called a couple of companies to come by and give me an estimate. C & J came by and their estimate was the lowest. On day of work, showed up on time and was done in a couple of hours. Upon review of the work, the gate and fence were better then the one replaced by far. The original had wood posts and C & J replaced with metal posts that are hidden from view. Overall, very happy with the outcome and the whole experience. Would definitely recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Needed a gate and a small portion of fencing replaced due to termite damage to the original structure.
