We are a woman-owned foundation repair company serving the San Diego County area since 1991. We currently have 9 full-time employees, some of which have been with us for over 15 years! We utilize subcontractors, such as electricians and concrete pumpers; however, most of our work is performed by our own permanent employees.
Our license number is 622523. We provide FREE estimates. Anyone can call our office and request an inspection. Once the owner, Jan Fisher, inspects the property visually, she prepares a written proposal and scope of work. These documents usually get emailed to the client the same day as the inspection.
We offer a 5% discount to members of our military.

I got them through a realtor and they were just fabulous. Really well priced, I thought, because I got several estimates and of all of them they were the best and the quickest. I just really can't say enough good things about them. The job they did was fabulous. Because they are so busy, it took them a little time to get to our job but once they were here they did it expeditiously.
Description of Work: I used Atlas for foundation repair. We had a crack in our stem wall in our garage. You would never know it was there, they did a fabulous job.

Jan was great from first contact, providing a thorough assessment of what needed to be done with regard to the foundation, and more importantly, what didn't need to happen. Her quote was very reasonable and less than some we received. The crew was amazing - polite, punctual, fast ... and cleaned the work site on a daily basis. The work was completed on time and appears solid and the home looks no the worse for wear after having a quarter of the foundation removed and replaced. I would use Atlas again.
Description of Work: Replaced one quarter of the home's river stone foundation

The job was done over two days without problem. Atlas Footing's team was professional and experienced. It is hard to gage the final product as the outcome of their work will be shown and quot;if I don't have any problemsand quot;. I feel comfortable to recommended Atlas Footing to others.
Description of Work: Re-enforce the foundation and attached straps to the foundation.

Jan told me from the initial phone call that she was booked for the next few weeks, if not month(s). I needed the foundation repaired prior to renovations so she squeezed my project in. The team completed the work on time and in only a few days. 6 months later I noticed a few cracks around the door frames and stucco. Atlas came back to check on the foundation and determined they were cosmetic cracks and no additional work was required.
Description of Work: The owner, Jan, came out for an initial estimate and proposal. She spent well over two hours diagramming and inspecting the house, foundation, soil, exterior, garage, interior, etc. The proposal was well documents and thorough. Atlas redid the post and pier system, leveled the floors with hydraulic jacks, added strapping, earthquake brackets, and epoxied cracks.

Workers arrived early, polite but difficult to communicate using job boss as translator, excavated soil was moved and stored on driveway on other side of home during French drain completion and simulateous work going on under the house to excavate and replace the nonfunctioning sump pump. Work satisfactory, started job (after long wait list as Atlas was booked up) mid week and was finished early the next week. I had obtained 3 bids for necessary foundation (pier and beam) to my 1924 bungalow, and the owner of Atlas, Jan, had by far the most expenisive and drastic in scope bids, over $50K, and recommending that my whole front porch also be repoured (stucco overstructure! and tile not included). I've had varying opinions on installing the French drain, most contractors did not recommend it, but I needed the sump pump replaced right away and had already sent a 10% deposit of $420 to start the above work, which I'm sure now I could have gotten done much more economically. It's an interesting observation, that when I invited the owner into my home to discuss the work needed, she commented on what a nice dining room table I had, and I'm suspicious that she decided to charge me extra, as the other two bids were less than $20K (vs $50K, quite a difference!!!). I don't trust her now.
Description of Work: Exacavated (jack hammer) along right side of home, installing French drain to remediate water drainage problem, excavated under crawl space under home to replace existing nonworking sump pump.

The team arrived on time as scheduled all four days. All material that had to be removed for access to the crack (Sidewalk/patio concrete, dirt from around the foundation, old cracked slab concrete) was neatly piled up on boards awaiting later removal. Work area was contained as best as could be for the type of work (concrete cutting, slab drilling and gouging), clean-up afterward was great. The team knew exactly what they were doing and how to best use their equipment in a professional manner. New rebar and concrete were expertly installed and finished. Epoxy stitching and injection was very well accomplished. I'd reccommend Atlas Footing Repair to any one. Pricing was also right inline with the work accomplished and materials procured.
Description of Work: My slab had cracked in half. Atlas conducted repairs (slab cutting, foundation pinning, slab stitching, high pressure epoxy injection) as per the soils engineering report I had done.

There were 3 other companies who gave me a quote and their quote was the highest. But they did a very thorough inspection and I will be going ahead with them.

The work went exactly as planned, and the results were amazing. I stood in the house and watched the bow in the floor deflate. Now, 6 months later, the floor is level, and there has been no new foundation movement (which shows up as cracks in the plaster). I had sought multiple bids from foundation companies for this project, and Atlas was the only company to actually go under the house and figure out exactly what was going on, before proposing a fix. Their bid was the most informed and cost-effective, as a result.
Description of Work: My older home with a raised foundation had developed a raised center. The supports under the home appeared to be substandard, and had shifted, due to soil expansion/contraction. Atlas replaced all 14 supports with excavated footings (poured concrete) under each support, then adjusted the supports to remove the raised center, and carefully explained the origin of the problem (expansion clay and defective surface drainage) and how to prevent its recurrence.
