ART D. NIELSEN PAINTING, INC.

In 2008 I contacted Art Nielsen, who lived in the in Senior Mobile Home Park, Lynwood Estates where I live. He took siding off the end of the front porch to do repairs because I had no extra siding. He put a piece of ply board in place of the removed siding at the end of the porch. He put a very thin coat of white paint on it & I could see the brown wood through the paint. He said he would paint it again but he never did. With the other repairs to the siding he used putty to hold it in place---which didn't work. I could see the sloppy putty & the siding is all coming loose that he repaired. At the top in the front of my home whenever there is a breeze the siding slaps back and forth because it is loose. On the back side of the home, I have to use a long pole to push the siging up into place. I tried to contact him in January/February of 2010 but his phone only rang and rang. I was told he had moved to another park. On September 13th I was told by another resident that he still had the same phone number so I called and left a message explaining that his work was falling apart and needed to be fixed. I never heard from from. On Monday September 20th I called again and his wife answered. I told her that he work he did was falling apart & desperately needs to be fixed. He called back and left me a voicemail saying that he didn't live in my park anymore, doesn't have a tall ladder, and does not do that work anymore. He said I would need to find someone else to fix his mistakes. He had re-caulked/sealed the roof and wanted cash because of the "the IRS problem." I paid him over $500 for that repair and because I can't see the top of my house, I have to wonder if its as terrible as the rest of his repairs. I was told by a few other residents in the park that he did the same thing "asking for cash" and apparently someone eventually reported him. I did say to him that his home looked perfect on the outside and that of course he wouldn't do that sloppy of work on his own home. He even broke a toilet when trying to fix it for a lady in her 80s. She had to purchase another one from someone else as he would not compensation for his mistake. I have also heard from the people at Elks Lodge in El Cajon that Art Nielsen is overcharging and doing sloppy work where he lives in another mobile home park too. I told them to warn the residents!

ART NIELSEN PAINTING WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND GREAT TO WORK WITH. THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND COMPLETED THE JOB ON TIME. THEY ALSO HAD TO WORK THEIR SCHEDULE TO FIT IN WITH THE TENANTS THAT LIVED IN THE HOUSE.
