After looking at the garbage disposal, the plumber told me I needed a new garbage disposal and he had a 3/4 hp one on his truck and could install it for $680. That seemed like an extreme amount to me, so I told him I would wait on that. I later looked up the cost of my current 1 hp garbage disposal and discovered that not only was it not costly but that it had a lifetime warranty. I called the manufacturer, spoke to customer service and was immediately told that from my description, I didn't need a new garbage disposal, just a new sink flange. They sent me one for free. I called another plumber for installation and $125 later I have a new sink flange installed for a perfectly good garbage disposal. When I asked about tightening the screws for the faucet, I was told it was a "level 1" job or some such classification and would cost over $200 - this when he hadn't even looked at the problem. I thought that seemed high, too, but I told him to go ahead. Screws were tightened and the faucet handles no longer move on the sink deck. I received a survey call from Anderson Plumbing and told them just what I thought about their pricing and diagnostics. I later received a very long letter from them about what a good company they are and how they do so much for the community and how they're worth every penny they charge. I, unfortunately, do not agree. They also enclosed a check for $75.00 saying I shouldn't have been charged for a service call because I'm a past customer. I did accept the check. I have been a past customer. Now, very aware of their elevated charges, I will not be a future customer.

I asked how much would it cost for a plumber to come out set the gas pressure gauge to 15lb or what the SDGE inspector needed to be set at.. He told me he can't give me an estimate the plumber would have to come out and it cost 42. I told him there was nothing to see and it didn't make sense for the plumber to come for a conversation that I can have over the phone. I told him the gas was turn off due to gas leak outside the unit and SDGE requires a plumber to be present to set the gas pressure gauge while the inspector is there. I wanted an estimate for that. He told me the plumber would have to come out for an estimate and while he is there he can set the gas pressure. I told him it doesn't make sense for me to have the inspector there and the plumber there just for him to give me an estimate. What happens if the quote is too high then I would wasted the inspector's time.He told me they don't care about the inspector being there. I tried to tell them that is whole purpose. If the inspector is not there the gas will not be turned on. This company could care less

He came out and immediately knew my misunderstanding (new home). While he was there, he checked all of my plumbing because he was there (and I had paid). That was nice.

Back in November 15, 2016, I purchased a service from Angie's List for $71 Whole House Plumbing Inspection and Water Heater Tune-up. The man who came seems to be reputable. I asked them for an estimate on replacing a regulator and I was given a price of more than $700. And then, today, 08/24/2017, I got a notice in the mail saying something like "Final demand for payment" and that a claim of them saying I owe them a total of $220.00. Any other information on the message seems to be from the company except for the phone number which is 6198731468. The notice says that if any other details are needed, to contact the phone number provided. This number is different than what they gave before which is 6194493852. The service experience was quite reasonable but considering this notice, it made me give a low rating instead. Update 12/4/2017: I did hear back from the company who stated that the notice I received was in complete error on their side. They apologize and sent a letter.

The original service was good and got the unit running. I don't know what happened between January and July.

I advised the company that I found them on Angie's List and had a coupon for the Service call of $42.00. They told me that they would call me with an estimate for repairs when the service person got there and assessed the situation. The service person, Ken, called me and told me that someone had turned off the water to the toilet in the garage and he turned it back on. The charge would be $220.00. I was quite surprised at this amount and reminded him that I had a coupon for $42.00. He said that the charge was a minimum and the discount was applied. Nobody had advised me that there was a minimum charge. Does this mean their minimum is $262.00 since $42.00 was deducted? After speaking a few minutes, he offered to give us a VIP discount and charge $187.00. I understand that it took time for him to assess the situation, however, he did not discuss the minimum charge and the company did not advise it in advance.

Excellent and friendly service and professionalism. They were quick, organized, and every person I have worked with so far has had incredible amounts of knowledge and experience. Hands down, Anderson is the best! I'm a lifelong customer!

I used them I think three times. He knew what he was talking about he explained everything to me.

They were wonderful. Their price - I don't know. I can't remember. I mean, to be honest with you, I don't know because I didn't have anyone else so I didn't have anything else to compare it to, but I thought they were ok. Their quality is excellent and they have the best customer service. I would definitely use them again. I would definitely use them again.

The coupon I got was for a free diagnostic. I've had them out twice in two months. They do have a tiered charging system versus by the job.

They have done air before. I would use them in the future. In fact I got a contract with them for various things like draining the water heater and checking the air for a year.

They were prompt and did a good job.

Two valve cartridges ordered from supplier were defective. Decision was made to replace control valve with more common brand. New valve was installed without having to remove and replace shower tile. I was not charged for the plumber's time spent installing the two defective valves received from supplier.

They came in and provided the estimates and brochure with detailed figures. After the work was completed they contacted the inspectors to come and now everything is within specs. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job for a fair price.

Tech (Jose) did fine but then I had a major issue with two women employees in their office who were not responsive to returning messages that I left for them. Very poor customer service as I could not get them to send a bill or provide me with an invoice for the work done as was earlier agreed upon. I have used both Bill Howe and Anderson Plumbing and in my opinion, I feel Bill Howe provides much better pricing and far better customer service. No attitude issues with Bill Howe Plumbing - just efficient staff that want to provide excellent customer service to their customers. I highly recommend Bill Howe Plumbing for their FAIR pricing, honestly and their excellent service.

They were good. They are expensive but they are good at what they do and the guys are good.

I asked for an estimate to have some plumbing work done and the price was about $400 higher than other quotes that I received. Otherwise not bad.

Very bad.Repair man refused to test system at all and claimed unit was too old to diagnose and only wanted to replace it. I insisted on checking the unit out and he refused. I told him unless you test to see what is wrong I cannot see replacing just because it was older He refused so we just did thermostat. Apparently that was all that was wrong with the ac system and it has been running great since and blowing coo lair. I tried to talk with the customer liaison and asked for a call but no one called and only received an e-mail insisting on their decision.I will never use them again

It was a difficult job and took quite awhile because because plumber had to send out for a longer cable. My only complaint was the cap was left off the trap which i discovered a couple days later. Price was right though.

The customer service an technician were great and professional. Although the technician did explain all pricing upfront, I was a little unclear that I would be charged the full service fee despite no work plumbing leak being found and thought that it was kind of expensive for the amount of time spent removing some drywall and running the water. Still, should a leak had been found, the pricing for the work seemed reasonable.

He was courteous and answered all my questions.

Amazing, they came out and inspected existing units, showed me all the issues with them, didn't use "jargon". There was no pressure to "sign right now" as with other companies. I have a mild panic disorder so when the financing came through and I had a panic attack, they patiently waited, and asked if there was anything they could do, (yes, stop talking to me please and let me get through it). They helped me move heavy items in preparation for the work to be done, cleaned up amazingly well every day. Asked to use my restroom (like I would say no? who does that?) Their conversation was polite, no foul language at all. There was a small noise issue on the rental unit and they were out immediately to fix it. I am seriously impressed with this company.
