I picked Anderson based upon the all the positive reviews. Jamar arrived and was very professional and courteous. We trouble shot the issue and came up with a plan together to get my house back on line quickly as the family needed the house and I was going out of town early the next morning. We decided to cap the leaking line leading up to the one bath tub; this will prevent the tub from working but would get the rest of the house back online. He started punching in the estimate on his tablet and a few mins later told me it was going to cost $572.95 to cap the 1/2" pipe ($551 for capping + $49.50 VIP after hours service + tax). They definitely "Wow'ed" me. This was crazy an I knew it but I had no option at this point as I was leaving on a trips early the next morning. I sucked it up and paid it but will never recommend this company to anyone I know. Way to expensive!! Bonus: Because my house has polybutylene I need to replace all the line with the pipe. I received a ballpark quote for my 4 bed 2.5 bath two story 2240sq/ft house in the $20,150 for pipe replacement + wall repair.

After personally attempting to snake out a blockage of our nearly 100 year old cast iron sewer line without luck, I discovered it was full of roots and should be relined. I got quotes from several 'big name' companies in San Diego as well as others within the SoCal area, and found Anderson PH&A was cheaper by nearly $2500 than the next lowest bid plus it came with a longer warranty. Not only were they the least expensive, they also were able to complete the work in 1 day, not the 2-3 days I was quoted by other companies. Ricardo, part of the team at Anderson PH&A, initially came to snake our drain, spending extra time to remove as many of the roots as possible. When it was determined that the best long term solution was to reline our sewer, Ricard was on top of the team that did the work and was my primary contact. I was not at home on the day the work was done , but Ricardo came out a few weeks later and ran the sewer camera down the line to show me our newly relined pipe. From beginning to end, everyone at Anderson PH&A was professional and quick to respond to emails, texts and phone calls. I would not hesitate to hire them again for any other plumbing problem.

We called on Sat. Night of Labor Day weekend when it was nearly 100 at our house, and our A/C broke. We explained that there is a medically vulnerable person who lives on our house so we can’t go without A/c since it was up to 90 degrees inside our house. The after hours company said an on call worker would call us about coming to take care of our A/C. We heard nothing until Tues. afternoon after calling a second time on Sunday and emailing. We had to find another company to address our problem.

I called on Friday early evening with a clogged kitchen drain and the earliest appointment they offered me was Tues. afternoon. To expect a customer to wait 4 days to have use of their kitchen sink was ridiculous when others could make it the next day.

Anderson was prompt, professional and fair. When they found a problem under the house, they manufactured a part overnight and did not charge us for it. I really like that they will come out yearly for the next 5 years to check the furnace and the water heater, which they did not install. I highly recommend them.

Very efficient and professional crew. After installing the furnace fixed blemish on the wall caused by ladder used to haul the units up and down the attic. This is truly a full-service provider. Great attention to every detail. They handle everything and do excellent work.

The work was completed quickly, cleanly and as described. The repair was a bit more difficult than usual due to the inconvenient location of the manifold that they had to work with, but they got the job done without issue or complaint. Jesse even fixed a couple of other minor issues while he was there. Everything about the work and service providers was top-notch - even their appearance/grooming. This was an expensive repair - but I feel that the work performed and service level was high quality. I would definitely contact Anderson if I am in need of their services again.

The entire team from intake to house call made a special effort because of our predicament. Another highly rated local plumbing company couldn't help except after 5 when "there will be an extra overtime charge." Seriously? So we were definitely pleased that Anderson made a special effort to get us up and "running" again as soon as possible. Larry, the technician, explained everything as he was diagnosing the problem and quickly came up with the fix - which involved some extra effort on the roof. All-in-all, our Anderson experience was a very positive one.

Had a water heater removed and replaced on Christmas eve 2017. Asked for a ballpark figure for the work, knowing it was Christmas eve on a Sunday and it would be more costly than waiting till Tuesday for my regular Plumber who quoted me $1159. They would not give me an estimate over the phone other than it would be a $99 service call fee and the technician would give me a price after his diagnosis. They scheduled me for an after 12:00pm arrival time for the technician since he was on a call already. I didn't give it much though figuring how much more expensive it would be. The tech arrived around 1pm and after diagnosing what I already knew about my water heater; gave me a price of $2632 + $99 service fee(typically the service fee gets included in the price if you have work done). Since we were having guests over that evening, and it was definitely too late to call another emergency plumber; they had us over a barrel and definitely took advantage of the situation. Overall, the technician did a great job and brought the earthquake strapping ,expansion tank and gas and water piping clean and neat and all up to code. The price also included a water retention pan, 5 yearly flushes(which I will take advantage of) and a city permit( which we still need to schedule and I hope doesn't become some can-of-worms issue). We knew we would be paying more for work since it was a Sunday holiday; but $2700 for what is normally a $1200 job?...Price gouging if you ask me.

I thought I was hiring the best, since the company has so many A ratings, and their slogan is “nobody wows clients like we do.” My experience was a nightmare! The work failed inspection by the City Building Department, not once, but twice! First, a very nice plumber came out and replaced the hot water heater and pipes. He appeared to do a good job with the water heater itself. But, he failed to adequately secure the pipes. When the City came out to inspect, the gentleman was able to remove one of the straps with one finger! I notified Anderson, and they sent the Plumbing Supervisor out the next day. He told me that the Plumber had used the wrong kind of straps! He said he would find the right straps, and then explain to the Plumber how to do the job. Common sense: teach the Plumber how to do the job BEFORE sending him out, not AFTER! Also, the Plumbing Supervisor asked to see the estimate I received from an outside company for restoration after the job was done. He said he could get me a better price with their in-house people, and would get back to me. I never heard from him again. Then the furnace. A Technician, also very nice, came out and replaced the furnace. He assured me that it was safe to use. But when the City Inspector came out, we opened the door to the closet where it was located, and immediately smelled gas! He checked all the connections, and found one that was leaking, and shut down my new furnace! I called Anderson, and they told me they would send out the HVAC Supervisor the next day. Excuse me??? Gas leaks can be fatal! The Supervisor insisted that nothing was leaking, yet he replaced the connector where the City Inspector had found the leak. According to the Inspector, the reason for replacing the connector was that of course, it was leaking! All of this scheduling and re-scheduling work and inspections resulted in many disruptions to my life, cancellations of appointments, and other inconveniences. Someone from Customer Service called me when the work was almost done, and I explained most of what had transpired. She promised to have a higher level Manager call me. So far, I have not heard a word. I think the least Anderson could do, is take full responsibility for doing a less than “wow” job this time, and try to make things right.

The consultation and replacement of toilets went well. The installer took great care of my home, explained options in detail, and professionally replaced fixtures with far superior ones. I couldn't be happier and would use them again for any plumbing need.

They did a good job but it was pricey. I would use them again.

Technician was professional, diagnosed the issue quickly and explained things clearly. He believed it would be cheaper to replace the toilet than for him to fix it so he recommended going through our home warranty. I appreciated his honesty.

We've used Anderson for a new heater and we just used them for a new water heater. They are always the top in professionalism and the knowledge their technicians have. This is the company we will use for all of our heating and plumbing needs.

The day before Thanksgiving, our very old water heater began to leak in our garage, damaging some drywall and running across the floor. We had family in town and were hosting dinner the next day. Anderson had Jamar out right away. Jamar needed to completely remove the old water heater, pick up a correct one to fit our unit space and redo the entirely piping. Our old valves were broken and we were missing a pan and water escape entirely. This also required trips to the store so he could get the correct pieces. It was a big job and unexpected, but he worked non stop for 8 hours until our garage was completely clean from the leak and our new water heater was well installed with safer, newer piping as well. He then walked me through how to work our new water heater and set up a safety net for possible future issues. He did this all while we had family in and out of the house for the holiday. We are so very thankful to Anderson's and to Jamar for the quick response and very hard work during a major holiday. Jamar was very professional and kind and we feel at ease with our new and improved water heater. He deserves a raise, or award, or whatever Anderson provides for their dedicated and essential employees. Thank you so much for making our Thanksgiving possible!!!

Rudy Vasques was right on time and did a great job . Great quality and workmanship. He replaced both a broken Kitchen Faucet and a leaking garbage disposal. The reason for the B rating is the high price Anderson Plumbing is charging for their services (not Rudy, which is an amazing plumber with great personality). My mistake this time was not getting multiple quote, due to time pressure. But we had 2 other repairs (toilet and tub diverter) that needed repair/replace and we received a quote from Anderson but ended up getting the service from another A rated provider. I think Anderson is doing a very good job, but I'm not planing to use them in the future due to their high price

We first contacted them via an Angie's List e-mail message. Basically stated they could send "highly trained service technicians do a thorough evaluation of the situation and then go over all of your options with you and give you exact, upfront pricing for those options after they have assessed what would be required" they did not provide us with a price quote response. Fast forward two days later contact via phone and received a quote of more than double what other reputable companies quoted us online. $2800 for a 50 gallon gas water heater replacement. Enough said.
