It was good. The workers are fine. They could explain more in detail on what they do and what they did. That way, as a home owner, I can feel good about what they did on the tune up before they leave or write up something.

Anderson sent over a tech who looked everything over and said he couldn't snake the drain because there was no clean out trap. This job was for my mother-in-law who is the original owner of a track home built in 1967. I guess codes were such that no clean out traps were made for that kitchen drain. The Anderson tech said he would not recommend a clean out based on taking the drain apart under the sink and snaking it. Too big a mess. Plus he said the clog would probably need a high powered water jet clean out to really get to the problem. He then recommended a camera crew from Anderson come in and visibly look at the clog. So, we waited another day for a camera guy to come over. He put in the camera and only went a few feet and said the camera cannot penetrate the clog. He recommend that another crew come out and cut the concrete and dig down to the drain pipe and tap in and make a clean out trap on the outside kitchen wall. Price was quoted around $2,400 I believe. When I heard this I freaked because my mother-in-law was crazy mad. I went to Home Depot and for $8 bought some super-clog bio stuff that I put down the sink with gallons of hot, hot water. Clog cleared and that drain has been like new since ! I expected more out of Anderson, this is the kind of plumber behavior I fear from lesser companies. I don't think I'll be using Anderson any time soon.

.I called on Sat. 3-5 in the later afternoon when our shower valve started leaking. I spoke with a very nice lady who after I explained the situation said the office is closed but they could call someone on call. I was surprised to hear this since it was only 3:15pm and their hours are listed 24/7? Since we had an evening engagement we decided to wait until the next day. She said someone would call me in the morning but since they work seven days and it's a Sun it might be a little later in the morn. I waited all morning, rearranged my plans to be available and someone finally called at 12:20pm only to tell me they don't have anyone available until Tues! Had we known this sooner we would have called another company. The leak has become worse so we've shut down the water to the house and have a plumber coming today.

We had initially called Anderson and had set up an appointment for a general heating and air inspection and servicing (coupon). After making that appointment, we had major roofing done (removal of 3 previous layers of roofing, installation of plywood base, insulation and re-roofing). During the roof replacement, the attic became filled with debris. We realized the day before the scheduled heating/ air servicing that our heater was not working (it would "fire up" and then immediately shut off). We called Anderson to let them know that we would need the service provider to address that issue in addition to the servicing. On the day of the scheduled Anderson appointment, CJ called ahead and let us know that he could come earlier than scheduled and asked if that would be acceptable -- to which we readily agreed. CJ arrived at the amended time, introduced himself and explained the components of the heating/ air servicing he would carry out. CJ's communication and information was clear, concise, easy to understand, professional --all of which was shared in a friendly, courteous and respectful manner. CJ cleaned the furnace and the attic area of debris and identified that the heater was automatically cutting off because something appeared be blocking the air vent. He immediately went on the roof and identified that a new vent cap had not been installed properly (which was shutting off airflow causing an automatic safety shutdown to occur each time we tried to turn on the heater), adjusting the vent/ air flow while he was on the roof. Our heating and air has been working very efficiently since that "tune up"...Because of CJ's professionalism, knowledge base, communication and technical skills, we have made the decision to use Anderson on a regular basis for heating/ air service and repairs. We could not be more pleased with the level of service provided.

He was great. Even over New Year's Eve he was out here working his little head off. He even referred me to another company to come out with fans and dry my place out. It was seamless.

I decided not to pursue the extra work. I had repeat back-up problems a short time later and had another plumber snake the drain again, which solved the problem.

Prompt, helpful, friendly, informative, professional

First of all, I have to say this is a 2-part review. The actual service for a $49 heater tune-up was handled very professionally. My service technician was punctual, helpful and efficient. In terms of what he was supposed to do in tuning up and ensuring the heating system was safe , no carbon monoxide leaking, etc. - he was spot on. He even gave me a new filter and told me not to put anymore money into this unti which I told him made sense. I told him I was looking to replace the old heating unit (about 40 years old) to get AC in the condo. We discussed several options including a new HVAC central air system which would not work since the existing ductwork was in the walls. We then discussed the mini-split system which is something I have been very interested in because it's ductless , energy efficient and I have seen how it works first hand. Again, no complaints on his attention to detail, looking in the attic for ductwork (none) and then discussing the duct-less mini-split because not having to route through ducts would make more sense. He was professional, helpful and really wanted to do this work. I do have to say I am one of those people who do HEAVY research on any major purchase I make. I looked at reviews on Angie's lists and other sites and even talked to a HVAC in AZ who does this kind of work to get a sense of range. So when he came back with a quote for $25k, I seriously thought he was joking. I have 2 other contractors coming out to provide me a quote. Even one person I talked to told me that cost seemed way out of line. So if you want to take advantage of a GroupOn for a tune-up of an existing system - Anderson is definitely the way to go. If you are looking to invest in a new system - I highly recommend you shop around. Update - I did receive a check back from Anderson - thank you for that. I was able to get a central AC quote for $8300 installed. Much less than the $25K quoted for a mini-split system. Thanks again.

Over it went well, easy scheduling, here on time, nice person, in and out, got he job done. However, was not careful with device and was dripping water on floor and did not clean it up before leaving also left a rust stain in my toilet don't know if it will come out, the stain is swirled like the device they used to unclog it.

I called Anderson Plumbing because they had installed my Heater/AC unit 3 years ago and I was pleased with their work, and also because they are highly rated on Angie's List. They are a little more expensive than their competitors, but you get what you pay for and I'm done dealing with unreliable contractors. The extra cost is worth it to me. Brent and his team were remarkable. They were prompt, informative, pleasant to deal with, respectful, and capable. They even accommodated minor plan changes with a smile. I was on my way out of town when the work was completed, but I had made arrangements for a free hot water heater flush with Anderson for a few days later and said in passing to Brent, "Maybe I'll see you next week for my water heater flush." When I returned, he'd already done the work for me, which relieved me of an "appointment waiting window" that following week and was greatly appreciated. I'm scheduled to have them do more work for me in the future.

They come in, they make recommendations for changes. We don't listen to them. They leave.

Bernard was very professional and courteous. He arrived on time and provided a quick estimate to do the work. Once work was agreed upon he was able to install the new valve on the spot! As an added bonus he also balanced my washing machine for me! Would definitely use them again, I only wish plumbing services weren't so expensive!

I am very happy with Anderson, and will definitely recommend them to others and will use them again should the need arise. 5:10 pm on Friday night our sewer line between our house and the street clogged up, water backed up into bathtubs and shower stalls (laundry & dishwasher running simultaneously etc.) Looked up top bunch on Angie's list. All called were A+ on BBB. One didn't have a tech available, referred me to a co-op who when called took a message and never called back. Another was very friendly and professional but seemed very pricey. Talked with Anderson twice, they couldn't give me an arrival time, but assured me they'd get to me so I requested a tech at about 6:00 pm. Got a call from the tech at 8:00 saying he was 10 minutes away, and he showed up in 10 minutes. I explained the situation to Zak (the technician), and explained what had happened with previous clogs (we've lived here over 20 years - house built in 1952). Showed him the clean-out between the house and street, which he saw was also backed up, putting the clog between the house and street, making the job pretty inexpensive for an after-hours response. Zak ran out a full 75 foot can of snake without hitting the clog. Put on another can, and ran out almost all the way to the street - about 100 feet total. He used an "apple" cutting head on the snake. Hit the clog, everything drained in just a few moments. He ran the snake out further to make sure everything was good. I really like Zak. He has a great work ethic. He is friendly happy to explain everything he was doing, while not stopping what he was doing. He is both professional and personable. Finally, I liked the price structure. The cost to show up after hours was clearly stated, as was the price to clear this kind of clog - it didn't matter how long it took, the price was the price. And it was reasonable. I'm in my 60's and have been through this kind of thing a number of times. Again, I will use and recommend Anderson in the future.

After replacing the igniter, he couldn't get the furnace back together and broke a part. He had to go get a replacement part, and wound up putting the original piece back - telling me I really didn't need the new one

I called Anderson to obtain an estimate for the installation of a pressure regulator on the outlet side of my one inch water meter. They came several days later, on time, and advised that because the outlet pipe was 1.5" they needed to install a 1.5" regulator. Their written estimate of the cost for doing this was $1949. Because I knew that the 1 inch water meter did not need a 1.5" regulator, and because their estimated cost seemed unreasonable, I called an independent licensed plumber. He installed a 1 inch regulator and charged me $283. This is $1,666 less than Anderson quoted. I guess they need such high prices to pay for all their advertising. February 24, 2015 After this review was posted, Anderson called me to discuss the matter. Following that discussion they had the courtesy to offer to refund the $42 fee which I had paid for their original estimate. I appreciate their follow up and that they voluntarily returned the $42 which I had paid for their estimate.

Went well; very professional

The service person arrived on time, was very courteous. He explained each step he was doing so that I can understand. Changed the Filters. Checked the room temperature upstairs and downstairs and checked teh air flow.

We called Anderson Plumbing, Heating, and Air to have our heater checked and repaired. Scheduling the appointment was very easy and I appreciated how friendly and helpful the person on the phone was. Because I don't want my cats to get out of the house, I always schedule appointments on weekends. Anderson helped me by scheduling an appointment on a Sunday. When the technician arrived, he wore booties on his shoes to keep our carpets clean and explained the multi-step inspection he would do of our heater. After climbing up into our attic, and checking the heater, he was professional and explained he was a junior technician and did not believe he was qualified to diagnose the problem, although he thought it was the computer circuit board on the heater. He stayed with us to call his office and schedule an appointment for us on the next day with a senior technician. During the afternoon of the next day, Anderson called us to say the technician scheduled to see us was behind schedule and asked if we wanted to reschedule for the next day. I explained that no, I wanted to keep it on that day and they made sure the technician got to us the same day. The technician, Junior, also came prepared to keep our carpet clean - love those booties ! - and quickly checked the heater. He confirmed it was the circuit board, but also explained that he wouldn't know if a gas valve on the heater worked until he could turn on the heater with a new circuit board and if the gas valve didn't work, we'd be facing purchasing a new heater. That wasn't good news, but I appreciate how up front he was. Anderson didn't have the circuit board in stock, but promised to have it the next day and Junior said he would be back to install it. Two professional technicians worked with us for three days to fix our heater and in the end, the circuit board fixed the problem, the cost was less than the estimate we received, and I believe Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air is one of the most professional, up-front companies I have worked with. We even enrolled in their on-going maintenance program so they can check both our heating and plumbing. We strongly recommend Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air.

Everything was perfect. I can't even find the patches in the drywall

I purchased an Angie's list deal for a tune-up on my HVAC system from Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air. My initial phone contact was very personable. I made an appointment about three weeks in the future, Anderson remembered the appointment, communicated with me on my appointment day twice to keep me informed as to the progress of the technician's schedule. Evans (Anderson's technician) arrived well within the time designated. Evans was great, he is a most polite, considerate competent person. He took the time to walk me thru what he was going to do and how long it would take before he even started. He welcomed me to stay with him as he worked on our unit and explained every task, every reading, every result as he completed them. He took his time and was patient with both his work and my questions. In the end, he cleaned both the indoor unit and the outdoor fan/heat pump unit as well. Evans wrote up a detailed report and reviewed the details with me. He gave me a run down about the company and the maintenance agreements available to me. I must say, he puts a great face on Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air. It is clear that he highly regards the integrity and quality of the company as well as his own work. He left me feeling confident in the trustworthiness of the company. He was not heavy handed in selling the service agreements and happily let me retain copies to review at my leisure. Anderson's customer service both in the office and in the field has convinced me to take advantage of a service agreement. A really top notch experience all around.

They didn't have to come back and redo the work. Basically, they had to come back and do two service calls for the same thing. I used them in the past. They're a good company.

No problem what so ever. Very efficient and did what I expected.

Good work conducted in a timely fashion. Original job had a small leak, but Anderson sent a plumber out immediately to fix it at no cost.

They came out and fixed it immediately, efficiently & professionally. Then they send out a guy with a camera scope to survey my sewer lines.

First the good - (1.) The process of making an appointment was easy; (2.) Technician came as scheduled; (3.) James, the technician was polite and friendly and cleaned up after his work. The bad - Pricing was way too high for replacing the faucet cartridge < the cause of the leaks > for a couple of reasons: (1.) The hex screw set had striped and James had to drill through it to remove the handle to get at the cartridge. The handle has to be replaced. James said he wouldn't mind replacing it but he didn't have one on hand. Now from a customer point of view and after paying 372.00 for the service, I would have expected that would be included in the service fee and thus was greatly disappointed. Shouldn't Anderson provide their staffs with adequate stock on these basic supplies? So it remains on me to take time to go to the store and get the replacement handle and replace it myself. I should have been compensated for my time and cost of the replacement handle, shouldn't I? (2.) James stopped at checking if the hot water part is working properly without asking for my temperature preference. I found the water temperature to be on the low end of the temperature range and have to adjust it to my liking on my own. I would have expected more thorough services if I have to shell out close to four hundred dollars for the service call! Updated Review <12/7/2015> I was contacted by Anderson after my above original review was posted. I was offered $75.00 for the replacement handle and my time to secure and replace it myself. I think that was a very nice gesture and fair compensation for my time and effort. The representatives from Anderson were professional and articulate and I certainly appreciate their effort to make a bad situation somewhat better. I had updated my review accordingly. However, the fact remains their pricing structure is definitely on the high side.
