Disappointed. I originally had faith in this company, however this time around I felt as if they were only trying to sell me something.

Everything was done well and worked the first time and passed inspection. The technician cleaned up afterwards and my garage was cleaner than it was before the job started,

I would NEVER recommend Anderson to anyone. I was appalled by the poor quality of the work they did for me given their reputation. A few of the problems: 1. They disconnected the furnace from the thermostat in order to replace the thermostat. However, they failed to reconnect it, which required an additional visit. 2. The installers took a decorative globe bulb out of my bathroom fixture to use in the attic, then didn't replace it--they just left an empty socket in the bathroom. 3. When the installation was finished, the installer handed me an empty "Quality Assurance" form. It consisted of a list of repairs/actions, and the form was meant to certify that they had been completed. I was expected to fill out this form, circling the repairs that had been made, even though I had no idea what they were or if they were relevant. The installer provided me no proof that these repairs had been completed, and I refused to fill out the form. 4. I did receive a contract for my installation until after it was complete. The standard contract form does list Anderson's insurance provider, and I refused to sign a contract until the contract info was complete. The insurance information is provided in a promotional brochure that the salesperson had given me, but he was completely unaware that the information we needed was right there. 5. The condensation drain backed up and caused a leak through my bedroom ceiling which ruined a light fixture. Anderson had not installed an emergency shut off (in case of back ups), and the drip pan was not installed properly. 6. The installation manager, Pete, actually came to my house because of my concerns regarding my initial installation. He looked at the install in the attic and proclaimed it fine. He missed the disconnected thermostat wire and the improperly installed condensation drip pan, two oversights that led to lengthy and frustrating additional visits and repairs. 7. It took three weeks for Anderson to arrange to have my ceiling repainted and my light fixture repaired as a result of the leak. They would simply not return my phone calls, which made scheduling repairs impossible. 8. Pete, the installation manager, was rude and insulting when I spoke with him. For instance, when I explained the disconnected furnace problem, he insisted that I was wrong, since the furnace would have to be connected for the AC to work. He kept making this claim--even though Anderson had already come out to correct the problem (in other words, Anderson identified and corrected a problem that Pete insisted could not exist)--until he finally read the report, which stated that the thermostat wire was disconnected. He tried to avoid responsibility for that error by stating that "the wire must have somehow come loose," rather than simply acknowledge the obvious--that the installers had not reconnected it.

I was given a "window" of 1-4pm on a Friday afternoon. The plumber arrived at 3:30 pm. After viewing the project, he told me it would cost $550. When I balked, he stated "Let me call my boss. He might let me do it for $330. It's my last job of the day; he'll probably say yes." He went outside, and when he returned, stated "I can do it for $330, but I can't honor your Angie's List member coupon for $42, so the total will be $372. Since I had already wasted the afternoon of my day off from work, I agreed. On Monday, I called another Angie's List Super Service Award recipient plumbing company to get an estimate on what they would charge for the same job. They quoted me $105 for an hour of labor plus materials. They said "it's just an adapter that gets soldered onto the pipe." I called Anderson Plumbing to lodge a complaint. They said that Erin Hansen, their customer service representative, would call me. It has been over a week now, and I have not received a call. I wrote a review of Anderson Plumbing in April 2015 stating that they were my "go to" plumber. That is no longer true.

Great Service. Purchased a service contract for water heaters and HVAC system.

We discovered mold in our HVAC closet. Brian came and evaluated the potential sources of the moisture. He opened the cover and looked at the drain pan and it did not appear to be in bad shape. He pulled the motors out and looked up behind them and could find no leaking after placing water in the drain pan. It was finally determined that the PVC overflow pipe was completely clogged and the first couple of feet were replaced and a new better trap installed. We are so very thankful for Brian's diagnostic skills and his patient determination to find the source of the problem. He is a true professional at his job and should be considered a highly valued employee.

Anderson Plumbing Heating & Air those guys were great. I think we had a service contract with them. They have great customer service. I guess they're reasonably priced. They run very well. They're very punctual. They know what they're doing. I'm very happy with them.

job was done quickly and efficiently, however the bill was absolutely ridiculous....they say that the price is "all inclusive" parts and labor, but that's just smoke and mirrors....when you break it down and do the math it is absolute thievery!!

They had done like nine thousand dollars plumbing job for us, dug up a big trench going from the house out to like the main line but they uplift a bunch of rocks, but the thing is so instead of like dealing with them and getting rid of them they spread them out all over our lawn so we can't mow our lawn now because it's covered with rock. So they tore up part of the back yard and part of the front yard, I've already actually myself spent over an hour out there raking up rocks and throwing them in my trash cans and I have a disability and my mom is in her seventies. The problem is too we told them about it twice and I just file kind of a bad rating for them on Yelp so they actually just called back this morning to ask to talk to my mom about it, I'm not thrill with the fact that we discussed it twice with them and the only reason their concern is because their now getting a bad rating on yelp. Because initially we were really happy with the work until we found all the rocks, but no I mean the guys were nice they were very polite they were very careful with not letting my dog out of the yard which was very appreciated, so the only problem with them was the rocks. Ask a few more questions about how it's gonna affected your yard, find out what the end resolute is gonna be with your landscaping because we had no idea that was going to happen.

They were real good. They were probably the cleanest that I've seen of contractors. They were very mindful of cleaning up and not leaving debris. Out of all the contractors they were the best ones.

I work for a high-net worth individual and am in charge of home projects, etc. They ABSOLUTELY would not come out to do a quote for the AC unit unless the owner was present. Such an odd business model, I explained that that would not happen-there was a reason I was employed by this person and was perfectly capable of receiving the information for the owner and the lady was a tad rude and dismissed me. Guess they can afford to turn away business (looking at other bids in the $6k range).

Can't say enough about the professionalism of Dick Crandall at Anderson. He truly knows his craft and figured out exactly what we need. We bought two AC units, one for upstairs and one for down. He took care of every detail and the job got done exactly like he said it would. It was a big job, $20,000 worth of AC plus new furnace. I should say that another famous San Deigo company, who is in the habit of hiring retired athletes for commercials, tried to upsell me to replace duct work that did not have to be replaced for an extra $10,000. Plus they tried to sell me on "sealing" my upstairs for another outrageous charge. Go with Anderson. They are expensive, but worth it. They don't try to sell you what you don't need. As a post script, I needed an issue followed up on and they were right on it, two months after the job was done. They back up there work exactly as advertized.

Excellent! We called Anderson's emergency number and within 10 mins we got a phone call to set up service. Tim the plumber was at our house within 25 mins and had all the drains and traps cleared and running-- very professional and polite....Im impressed! Will used Anderson's again when needed....thanks!!

The Anderson Heating and Plumbing representative arrived and when told the service he quoted me a price of $720 to install a kitchen sink faucet....Really $720 dollars!!!! I have never heard of such an outrageous price to install a kitchen faucet. I will never use this company again, if a simple install is this much.

It is just like all these companies. You bring them in to do some work and the next thing you know you are getting proposals for thousands and thousands of dollars which is why they need to get in with these $59 or $79 specials. I have not used them and I don't know if I will only because I don't like the answers I was given. Not because I think they did anything dishonestly. It was one man's opinion and I just did not feel comfortable going forward. Everything was fine having to do with the furnace checkup. As part of that service, of course they always tell you that the furnace could use to be replaced. It is the process that he went through and what he told me. I don't know if he could backup what he said to try to convince me that I had a real problem. I just did not agree with it. I am not claiming he was dishonest. These guys are just salesmen trying to drum up business. The furnace checkup was a $39 Angie's List special. They are a reputable company. I also have used them for the plumbing part of their business.

We recently managed to close off entry into our attic so as to exclude rodents, but not before they had done some minor damage to the duct runs. Because these ducts were installed by Anderson, and because we were happy with their previous work, we contacted them to check for additional damage and to make the repairs needed. The appointment was easily scheduled and two of their representatives arrived on time. They were both friendly and well-mannered, but even before entering the attic, they began discussing options for extra things we might do. This seemed a bit odd, but we just clarified that we were only currently interested in the duct repair. After spending some time in the attic and, for reasons that never were quite clear, examining the outside of our house, the technicians told us they were ready to review their recommendations. Their finding was that 3 of the duct runs had been damaged by rodents and the repair work, with a 5% discount, would come to $1,021. If there had been no other issues, because of our confidence in their previous work, we would have accepted the bid immediately. However, the technicians were unusually pushy about doing something extra: to purchase an "Air Scrubber Plus" to improve air quality. The bill for the scrubber would be $1,650, but there would be no charge for the duct repair. Unfortunately, especially the younger of the two representatives seemed to be following some high pressure sales tactics, hopefully taught somewhere else than by Anderson. For example, even when we made it very clear that we would look over the bids and do some research over the weekend, he asked "What would it take for you to make the decision now?" Over the weekend, we decided to get a second estimate. Through Angie's List we found Air Duct Professionals. They also responded quickly, the single technician arrived on time and he also was friendly and well-mannered. However, there were several important differences: (1) He didn't try to pressure us into any add-ons, only noting at the conclusion of the appointment that if in the future we were interested they could also do air duct cleaning; (2) in less time than for Anderson, this technician identified the locations of damage in the attic, gave us a bid, and made the repairs; (3) on completion of the job, unlike Anderson, he took a moment to sweep up the insulation and dust that fell to the floor beneath the attic entrance; and (4) the total cost of the inspection and repairs was $150, rather than $1,074 for Anderson. Taken together, I'm hoping that our experience with Anderson was just an anomaly and not the way they normally do business. We paid Anderson only $68 for providing the estimate.

I was able to schedule a visit within 24 hours of my call to Anderson for a non-emergency issue. I received a call almost exactly 30 minutes before the plumbers showed up to verify that someone would be home. The plumbers arrived at the start of the time window that we agreed to when I set up the appointment. The plumbers (there were two) were friendly, professional, informative and efficient. I was given good information about the state of my own plumbing situation including a tutorial on water systems. However, I was not pressured to make a purchase immediately and I was not up-sold services beyond what was included in the coupon offer I was using. I would definitely call Anderson in the future.

Quoted a $42.00 service fee on an estimate I was requesting.

The problem was in the pea trap so he said he would clean that and stand by the offer. It turns out he could not do any inspection. They could not get access to either one of them because of issues on the site's problem. This was a big deal purchase. The experience was so so. They were sort of professional, but the deal was misleading. There was no extra charge. Their punctuality was very good. I am not sure their business model supports what I would be asking. I felt like it was a bait and switch, I really did. I knew what it was going to take to get my drain clean. I just did not want to do it. So I hired somebody and was willing to pay the price. When he came out he said they needed to go to the end of the drain line. I told him the problem was in the pea trap and I wanted him to clean it. I came back a few minutes later and he said he had cleaned it. He may have done something to it but he did not actually clean it. It still was a slow drain. He did not want to get involved with it. I don't want to slam the guy because he is behaving according to how he is trained. I am not real happy with my experience with these people.

It was okay. I thought that they would be sending licensed plumbers but they get licensed through the company, like the company gives them their own status. I had to ask for an estimate, they were like, they took down all the information on what I wanted to get fixed or repaired and then the guy said that he would let me know, you know, the estimate and I waited over a week and I had to actually get in touch with them and then it took awhile for the person to come out, his manager kind of sent me a hand written amount which I thought was very high for the things that they had to have done. So I haven't went any farther with them. It cost quite a bit, it was over a hundred dollars so we're just waiting so we don't have to spend that much on another estimate from someone else to get an idea to get the repairs done that we need. What we have right now is not vital. It was over a month ago that they came out, March 10, 2016. They spent a fair amount of time looking at everything and try to explain to me. I thought the estimate was high so I am going to check with someone else to see. It cost $155. There were no additional fees. You would think that they would have followed up with me to see how I felt about certain things but they don't follow up with their customers and it takes a lot to get estimates and I don't know if it was just that one person that did it but still after I got it that was it.

It was quick and efficient, he knows his job. i would recommend him to anyone.
