+ -1 moreThis was a bait and switch situation. Their alarm system was already installed in the home where we moved, so I thought it would be easy to just have them get it up and running. The salesman came out and told me he was the one that sold the original system and was here when it was being installed during construction. He told me the system needed a back-up battery and a couple of other things that would cost less than $200 in order to become operational. In the end, it cost me nearly $600 and I only got burglary protection. For fire protection, which was used by the prior owners, it would cost an additional $555+ to make operational! For $1200, I could've gotten a brand new system installed by another company with far less angst and hassle.
Description of Work: I asked them to make the existing alarm system operational, so we, as the new home owners, could begin using it.

Description of Work: I switched my alarm monitoring to Alarm Relay. The only confusion has been on the reliability of monitoring my older alarm system over my VOIP/Internet connection (as opposed to an old-school hard line). I test my alarm periodically; so far so good.
