Excellent. The entire process went very well and exceeded our expectations. Employees were friendly, made sure all interior surfaces were covered and cleaned up. Old furnaces removed without issue and new furnaces installed and tested. All electrical was done very well and the team also patched and painted dry wall where electrical needed to be accessed and new electrical for a/c units installed.

The technician (Edgar I think) came on time and find the leak from outdoor unit within minutes. He also went into attic to check the evaporation coil. Very polite and professional. It was a bummer that he declined my request to repair the leak, as he believed that it will leak again even if he patched it. He went ahead to quote me a new AC system, which seems to be reasonably priced compared to other quotes I saw. Edgar patiently elaborated to me the theory of operation of air conditioners and I am convinced on his competence (I did not tell him that I hold a PhD in physics, and know exactly how air conditioners work).

The Airmaxx technician was able to come the same day we called and fixed the condenser for a very reasonable price. We will call them again.

The estimate interview with Vlad went very well. He was on time, courteous and professional. I interviewed seven companies for estimates so I was prepared with questions I wanted answered. Vlad was knowledgeable and did not try to push his product and services on me. After all seven estimates were in I had one estimate that was $250, lower than Airmaxx. I called Vlad to see if Airmaxx would price match the lower offer. Because the lower offer was lower and had a better warranty Airmaxx not only matched the lower offer but the beat it by $100, because they could not match the warranty. I am very comfortable with the offer. The install went very well. Because Airmaxx matched and beat the lowest estimate. I anticipated they might try to cut corners. It did not happen. The install crew (4 men) arrived on time. They were courteous and professional. Very careful to cover floors and furniture as needed. After living in Japan for a year I was very familiar with the Ductless Mini-Split Systems. I researched the installation procedures thoroughly thinking I might do it myself so I knew what had to be done. Having owned and remodeled rental properties for years I have a lot of experience with do it your self projects. These guys are good. Well organized, team oriented and skilled at the tasks they performed. They finished the job completely in four hours. Very clean install. The covers for line sets were white and matched the window trim (they are paintable). The Ductless Mini-Split System was the best solution for our needs. Our house is a small 2Br, 2Ba (1150 sq. ft.) with a very small attic and crawl space under the house thus no real place for a forced air system. The cost estimates for those systems ranged from $15,000 to $20,000. Before choosing a vendor and the heating and cooling system for your home I recommend doing your due diligence. There more than a few manufactures to choose from. Fujitsu and Mitsubishi are probably the most reputable since they have been making the systems for over thirty years. They are everywhere in Japan. Airmaxx was our choice and I highly recommend them.

The appointment was easy to get and was for a time only two days after the call. The technician showed up a bit late but he had called to tell us he would be late - no problem. He tested the unit and found that the freon was low and said that since our unit used a type of freon that has been phased out, replacing it would be very expensive - $340. I told him to go ahead - no real choice at that point unless I wanted to start over with a different contractor. He also tested our other zones and found one more that needed freon - another $200. Both units are now running fine. Overall, the repair was completed quickly and efficiently, but the charge for refilling the Freon seemed very excessive.

Workers were professional and efficient. When building inspector inspected job, stated that if all jobs were done as well, he would not be needed.

Alex from AirMaxx was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the entire process. He arrived promptly to gather details for my estimate and presented many options of varying costs. We opted for the most complex option, scheduled a time for his crew to come out, and work was completed promptly in only one and a half days! Everyone was extremely clean and courteous, happily working around my two dogs and 16 mo old. I would absolutely hire AirMaxx again!

Alexander showed up a little late because there was a hugh storm raging, so no problem. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my heater and fixed it and made sure it was working correctly. He was personable and efficient. I would call on Airmaxx again with no hesitation.

The experience with Airmaxx was great from start to finish. I called today about 9 a.m. and the customer support person at Airmaxx scheduled a technician for 11 to 1 today (same day). Vlad phoned me about 10 minutes before arrival. He arrived about 11:15. Before he came into my house, he put on shoe coverings. I explained that our thermostat which was 6 years old, stopped working. He tested to make sure the batteries were OK and when it still didn't function, he recommended a replacement thermostat. I agreed and he installed it immediately and made sure I knew how to change the programming if need be. We had an old electrostatic filter which was dirty and didn't completely cover the opening in the floor. Vlad custom cut a proper filter which covered the entire area. His manner. skill, and knowledge of heaters has earned my trust in his work and this company. I will definitely call Airmaxx for future services for maintenance of our gas heater and hopefully the installation of central air in the Spring.

Alex answered the phone and was able to come out for an estimate that afternoon. He came back the next day to install the furnace. The job went quickly and smoothly. Alex was very polite, and professional. He was very honest and clearly explained the problem with the old furnace and recommended the best replacement furnace. He actually talked me into a less expensive model because the more expensive model wouldn't provide any extra value for the size of the house. He installed a Carrier brand unit, which is a big name I am familiar with. It came with a 10 year warranty on parts, 20 year warranty on the heat exchanger, and Alex came with a 2 year warranty on his labor. I am saving his number and will definitely call him next time I need help with any heating or air conditioning.

San Diego Gas & Electric came in and checked out my heating unit and said the motherboard wasn't working properly. They suggested that I call somebody to fix it. I got my Angie's List magazine out and called Airmaxx. The guy came in, he hardly pulled off the cover and he just turned it on and said it was working perfectly. He didn't even examine the thing, he just turned it on and looked at how it was igniting and the fire in there and said it was working fine. I told him SD G&E said it was probably the mother board so it was like taking pains for him to even examine it. In the end, he said I probably needed that fixed and it would be 550 dollars. They were supposed to charge me a 50 dollar service fee for coming out here to check it. He told me I didn't have to pay the fee and he walked out. That was the end of it. So I would not use them because this was something reported by SD G&E and the guy that came, a very nice man who just didn't want to do the work. He didn't want to examine what was wrong until I had to point it out about 16 times. The consultants name was Alex Golb. He didn't do a proper job.

We called at 6pm on Friday evening, when our A/C stopped working. Temp outside almost 100 degrees. They said a technician could come to the house the next day, Saturday at about 8am. Gene Fikhman arrived at the scheduled time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had the parts on his truck and made the repairs in less than an hour. Also, he showed us how to set and use the thermostat, which had been confusing to us. We were thrilled that AirMaxx was able to send a technician so quickly, due to the very hot weather..

October 10 is proving to be the hottest day in San Diego all year. Midnight last night our air conditioner quit cooling. I called five places & Airmaxx was the first to respond. This was at 8 o'clock Saturday morning. They gave me a time on Saturday between 11 & 3.We're talking same day service here!! Alex was at our door at 1 o'clock. He found the problem, gave us a quote & had the parts to fix the problem. Very helpful. If he ever needs a job, I would hire him. The condo is cooling down now & we're looking forward to a comfortable rest of the day. Thank you Alex & Airmaxx. Linda

Poor workmanship, some materials used were not to code and company is in breach of contact by not providing city permits and inspection (mechanical & electrical permit fees were paid for by us).

I was told that someone would be at my house between 2 and 5 PM. I canceled another commitment I had at the same time so I could be home when AirMaxx's representative arrived. When four o'clock came and went and I still hadn't heard from them, I called and was told they couldn't be there today but would I be home the following day? I consider their behavior extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anybody. UPDATE (1/21/16): A representative of this company called and offered me one hundred dollars to remove my negative review. Their response that I canceled two appointments is blatantly false.

Airmaxx responded to our request for service in less than 24 hours. Grant not only arrived on time, he was professional, knowledgeable and efficient, as well as well-prepared to do the job. He explained every step in the diagnostic and repair process and answered all of our questions courteously and expertly. We were very satisfied with the service provided by both Airmaxx and Grant.

Airmaxx came out on a Saturday only a few hours after the service request was made. Alex was prompt, and called ahead. He was efficient, successfully troubleshot problem and repaired the AC quickly. He explained the problem clearly and was professional and friendly. We will definitely use Airmaxx in the future.

Discovered late on a Friday our home's A/C had stopped working altogether. I used Angie's list to find Airmaxx, who consistently received "A" ratings from customers, and whose page indicated they were available to work weekends (it's warm in July in El Cajon). I called Airmaxx at 6 PM on Friday and was scheduled for a visit by the Technician the following day (Sat) from 10-12 AM. The Airmaxx Technician (Alex) arrived shorted after 10, ran several tests, and determined that our fan and/or the fan's "brain" was bad. He immediately contacted the supply house and ordered a new the fan ($230) and the fan's "brain" ($600). The two parts would be available from the parts supplier the following Monday (the fan's "brain" had to be programmed by the parts house to match the new fan). Alex scheduled a return appointment with us for Monday afternoon to install the fan and brain. He arrived at the appointed time and went immediately to work. A/C system was up and running normally again in about an hour. I was impressed with Alex's knowledge of A/C systems and his professionalism. He worked extremely fast (an indication to me that he really knew what he was doing). He also was very patient in answering my many questions. While the repair bill was sizeable, most of the charges were for the two new parts. I thought the labor charges for the Airmaxx technician (about $250), which included two home visits, was reasonable. I also was credited for a $30 Angie's List discount.

After having the house tented for termites, gas company would not restart gas to furnace. Also air stopped working. Gene was on time, friendly, and professional. Tested furnace and replaced the capacitor on air conditioner. Also consulted on future maintenance and eventual replacement. I will use again and highly recommend.

We just moved into a new home and discovered the upstairs AC unit was not working. George came out the next day and diagnosed the problem. Needed a new condenser. He gave me a good price and didn't try to oversell. I decided to replace the blower/furnace at the same time since it was as old as the AC unit. Again George didn't try to oversell, he said you live in Southern CA it would take 10-15 years for a super efficient furnace to pay for itself. His team did a great job installing the next day which, in summer, is fantastic! I love that they install Carrier products with great warranties. I looked at ratings for furnaces on consumer reports and Carrier was like #2 for fewest repairs. Airmaxx also honored my Angie's Coupon saving me $250. Plus the original service call was free... I would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

Have not had to use AC once since 3300 CFM whole house fan has been installed. Should pay for itself after 2 years in saved electricity. Service was great too. Punctual, did follow up checks, clean, price was spot on as estimate.
