Excellent telephone work during the initial contact. Person was quick, knowledegable, to the point, yet also personal. Was initially disappointed that the person who came out and gave us the estimate was not the person who showed up (on time) to do the work. There apparently were some difficulties with the connection between the newly installed pump and the outside condensor,so we called the office and the General Manager came out promptly and fixed the difficulty. A few days later we encountered a difficulty with regulatuing the temperature with the new installation, so we called again and the GM came out again promptly and re-cycled the system and cured the difficulty. Their response was always to fix the issue ASAP and not never charge for the additional calls.I would call them again, any time, and would recommend them for their attitude and customer service sensitivity.

25 year old furnace was shut off by gas company after safety check found a crack in fire box. Angie's List and personal referrals were used to identify three contractors for estimates. Alex from Airmaxx was by far the best at clearly describing all the options for efficiency, noise, etc. resulting a a mid range price. It was agreed to relocate the thermostat ant no added charge. A printed contract that included specific Carrier units from inventory was executed on the spot. Two installers came two days later [a Saturday] and competed everything including removals and cleanup in about seven hours. Airmaxx arranged for subsequent inspections required for the permit. Two days later a technician came within two hours of being called to silence a vibration noise from the a/c case. Entire effort was A++.

very clean and quick installation

We received a complaint from our neighbor about the noise level of our air conditioner, which had been installed by AirMaxx 2 years ago. I called them on Monday to take a look at the unit. Gene arrived at our house within a few hours, evaluated the unit, and determined that it needed to have several parts replaced. He ordered the parts and had them ready for installation the following day. The A/C unit is now running as quietly as it was when it was first installed. We are very happy with the responsiveness and the fact that all parts and labor were covered under their 10 year parts & labor warranty! I would highly recommend this company!

Great and cheaper than I thought.

A/C stopped blowing cold air. Airmaxx came and determined that the system was out of refrigerant. I asked what the risk of having a leak in the system was, and the response was that there was no way to find a leak until they refilled with refrigerant and the A/C stopped working again. I decided to go for the refrigerant (it was the hottest week of the year). The system then only worked for few hours and it stopped blowing cold air again. I had kept another appointment with Guthrie and Sons who came and determined that the issue was with the external unit fan (which did not work overheating the entire system). I wish Airmaxx had told me instead of simply refilling with freon and making me waste $350.

AC unit not cooling. just blowing warm air. Unit outside was making a clicking noise. At 7pm talked with Frank by phone. He was amazing. Pretty much diagnosed the problem over the phone. Came to the house 25 minutes later. Replaced a capacitator, just as he thought. AC up and running, much appreciated with heat this week. 86 today. Thank you Frank. Will definitely call again.

Sergy was awesome diagnosing and fixing my nonfunctioning outdoor Carrier A/C unit. Although the A/C was working when I purchased the house 10 months ago, it mysteriously stopped working since. After checking the power supply and fuses, he opened the unit and found a dead mouse that had shorted out the conductor. He was able to replace that right away, and also diagnose a problem with my Auto fan, and replaced transformer wires. With my coupon and a courtesy discount over the mouse, the total came out to $295, and the entire fix took a fair amount of his time. He was courteous, professional and friendly, and I will be sure to call him again for any future fixes. Highly recommend!

I met with Alex Gold who discussed various options for replacing our nearly 20 year old furnace/ac unit. He described in detail all the options. At first I picked all the high end most energy efficient a/c unit and furnace, but after discussing it with my wife we decided to go with the basic model of everything. It ended up being more energy efficient regardless since our system was so old. I got 3 bids from other contractors and Airmaxx gave me the best deal. They only use Carrier products (our old furance/ac was Carrier) so we were happy with the brand. The contractors arrived at 8am and finished by 2pm. Fast install, they hauled away all the old ductwork and old furnace and A/C is running as i type this review. Much cooler than our 20+ year old system and all the ductwork is connected properly. I would highly recommend this company for A/C, furnace, and ductwork. They even vacummed and cleaned up afterwards! Update 6/29/12: I hired a company to blow in insulation in my attic. While in the attic, they informed me there was a 1/4" gap between the ductwork and one of the registers. They advised taping it up so I bought some foil tape for them to seal up the one register. I called AirMaxx and spoke to Alex. He said the foil tape would work out fine. I'm a little annoyed that Airmax missed sealing up one of the ducts completely. Apparently the other 10 ducts are ok. So 10/11 = 91% still an A i guess... Bottom line- double check all the ductwork before sending them home!

After getting quotes from three different companies, we decided to go with AirMaxx. AirMaxx was the only company did a follow up phone call to answer any question we might have after our initial meeting. Our Project Manager Yuri was very professional, knowledgeable, and nice. He made this a very easy and painless process. Never once did he try to sell us anything we did not need. I received an installation date and time. The installation technicians, Anton and Sergei promptly arrived,. They were very nice, knowledgeable and took extra time to make my dogs feel comfortable with them being there. They also were meticulous as to not leave a mess. I would recomend them to my friends and family.

Alex was courteous and professional. He explained everything and answered all our questions. He did not try to push anything that we didn't need. His technical knowledge is excellent. Will definitely use this company again.

They were very punctual and responsive. I respected how courteous and respectful they were. They also seemed to have a great work ethic. I never heard them complain, and I'm not sure if they even took any breaks. They even went out of their way to do some extra things I didn't ask for.

They were very professional, came out on time, did what they said they were going to do, put it in and finished on time, cleaned up, and they were extremely nice people.

I called and was given a window of arrival time between 11-1pm - he arrived shortly after 11 am. I also had the SDG&E person here at the same time. He had the part I needed avaliable and was able to fix the furnance on the spot.

I called Airmaxx and left a message and they called back within 5 minutes, even though the office wasn't yet open. They scheduled a technician to arrive within 2 hours. I couldn't have been happier at that since I had to stay home from work until the service was performed, so I really needed an early appt. When Yuri arrived, he got right to the problem and completed the job quickly. He explained what the issue was and reviewed his itemized bill with me. He was very nice and professional. We got our Angie's List discount and I went on my way to work. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

The service tech was wonderful. He was reasonably priced. He showed us a lot of information that we didn't know about our system. He showed us how to change things that we didn't know how to change. I would recommed him to everyone. My husband was very pleased.

I called as one of my tenants was telling me the heater stopped working. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. She answered my questions and scheduled a same day service request. They provided a 30 minute call ahead, as requested, and came out by the designated time. The technician called me to inform me that the tenant had turned off the power switch when the pilot light blew, but then forgot to turn it back on after he re-lit it. So, the tech flipped the switch back on and informed me of the situation. I was extremely impressed by their professionalism. I will definitely bring them more business!!

Tech arrived in the middle of the 2hr appt window. He quickly located the problem by using a potentiometer to find dead components, and replaced the bad part. $30 service coupon applied with no problem. We discussed the condition of the furnance, which is old but serviceable. He recommended we consider replacement if we started to experience any further issues, but did not push the issue, and this was after he had fixed the problem. I was very happy with the service technician. I will use them again.

I also used a coupon from Angies List $30.00. So the total came to $390.00. I was very happy with the professional visit from this technician. Their price was fair and they were honest and clean.

After going through outsourcing h*** with SDG&E whose agents had damaged my A/C unit, I finally called several Angie's list "A" rated companies. Alex was the fastest to respond & then make time to come out. In addition to cleaning up the mess left behind by the SDG&E agent -- Ameri-Mex -- avoid at all costs -- he discovered the problem was not a burnt out motor (as stated by that agent), diagnosed the actual problem, did the repair (replaced a scratched circuit board and a condenser), left everything in shipshape condition & was gone in less than an hour.

Alex Gold was my customer service representative. I got quotes from 5 other companies and Airmaxx gave me the best price. They came in on Friday morning and finished the same day.

They came out and gave me a very competitive quote. They installed Carrier air conditioning equipment and were able to install it fairly quickly after I selected them as a contractor. They got it installed in one day and it has been working great ever since. They installed what they said they were going to install. It looks like they use good material. They used the equipment that we discussed. I had a positive experience with them. I would use them again in the future.

We knew our house was plumbed for air conditioning, but we hesitated to have it installed because of the expense. From year to year we put up with the hot spells. This went on for almost 10 years. We decided finally to 'bite the bullet' and have it installed. From the first phone call, our experience with Airmaxx could not have been better. I called on a Monday and was given a Thursday morning appointment for an estimate. Mario arrived on time and took a look in the attic and outside where the unit would sit. He gave a thorough presentation of the company and how they strive to serve and protect the customer. We have family coming to visit soon and decided not to wait any longer. We were willing to pay the extra money to have a more compact unit installed. Mario did not try to talk us into the more expensive unit. It was our decision entirely. We appreciated that he did not try to sell up or suggest anything we did not need. He called his manager and was able to book us for an installation appointment 2 days later. Because the house was already plumbed for air conditioning when it was built, the installation was done in just over 3 hours. Three installers showed up right on time and got to work immediately. They were focused on their work and they left no trace. We were shown how to use the new thermostat and we were free to get on with our day. We are thrilled that everything went so smoothly.

I discovered friday night of the 4th of July weekend that my AC was not putting out any cold air. I called about 8am on Saturday and Airmaxx scheduled to send someone out between 10:00 - Noon. I couldn't believe it. I expected that my call would lead to an appointment for Tuesday after the holiday. Our service tech was great. He identified the problem quickly and recommended a repair. When I asked about cost of repair vs. a new unit he encourage repair (even though our unit is very old and I imagine a less scrupulous technician would have tried to sell me a new unit). Once he completed the repair he explained the underlying cause of the breakdown and told me how to avoid similar problems in the future and recommended a maintenance tune-up once every two years. The tech was about an hour late but I appreciate that both he and the customer service agent apologized (yes, a real sincere apology in this day and age) for the inconvenience and provided an explanation (an earlier repair took longer than expected).
