There were some delays, but weren't really anyone's fault. They took everything out, down to the studs. They completely rebuilt it. The work is beautiful! He was very patient through the process and he did anything I asked! I highly recommend him for his professionalism and quality! I love my bathroom!

We had previously contracted with Advance Systems to remodel our Kitchen. The final product of that Project greatly exceeded our expectations. Based on that experience we contracted with them to remodel the Bathrooms in our Home. The entire process for the Bathroom remodels was smooth without any major problems. Ray Foster is an excellent communicator. He met with us and guided us through the process of selecting Granite countertops, Tile, Laminate flooring and other items for the remodel. His experience and expertise guided us to better choices than our original plan both in cost and quality using pictures and actual completed work. During the remodel Ray frequently came to our Home to review progress and ensure we were satisfied with the pace and quality of the Project. The work crews always cleaned up the work site on a daily basis. During the course of the Master Bathroom remodel the Work Crew found Black Mold within a wall while they were replacing plumbing. When our Insurance Company sent an Adjustor to inspect the damage caused by the Mold, Ray came to our home and worked directly with the Adjustor to ensure the final Insurance claim would cover as much of the expense as allowable. Advance Systems is certified to remove mold and they completed the Mold Removal process in the Master Bathroom, and adjacent bedroom and hallway to the satisfaction of our Insurance Company. The priorities for all of the work completed were quality first, schedule second and cost third. His work teams always ensured we were satisfied with the quality of their work and promptly made changes to ensure our satisfaction.

Ray and his team provided excellent work from start to finish. Immediately after receiving our email inquiring about remodeling our shower, Ray contacted us and even visited our home the same day to do a consult. He provided us a quick and very reasonable estimate keeping in mind our budget and our desires for the shower. Ray also provided us a time frame and finished within that time frame. His team was always prompt, professional, and a pleasure to have working in our home. Ray was always available to speak with throughout the job and was responsive and patient with our questions and requests. The shower (and floor and paint we ended up adding) are of the best craftsmanship and look absolutely beautiful. We plan to remodel our kitchen in the future and will definitely be using Advance Solutions for that and any other job as well. We would highly recommend Advance Solutions!!

Last year we remodeled our Irvine kitchen with a contractor from h*** which we had found on Angie's list. So, I was very, very skeptical about hiring another contractor to do our bathrooms. We found Advance Solutions, and based upon the positive reviews, hired the company for our bathroom remodel. Most importantly, Ray is incredibly honest. He overbought supplies, returned the excess to the store, and refunded my account without my even knowing that he was doing this. My hunch is that most contractors would just pocket this money or use the supplies elsewhere. Ray's workers were very conscientious, polite, and cleaned-up after themselves. The quality of the work was superb--Ray is adamant about doing it right. And the price was very fair. I really wish we had known about Ray for our kitchen remodel. I have given the company all A's except for a B for responsiveness as, sometimes, Ray or his assistant was somewhat slow in responding to emails. Nevertheless, we could not be more thrilled that we found Advance Solutions and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

So the process started with our long list of needs and wants. After that Ray was confident he would meet or exceed or expectations, I was skeptical as my wife and I are very particular about what we like and the type of work we expected. Ray did a few full design sessions with us where we could pick out paint, tile, tile floor design, carpet, backsplash, appliances, fixtures, etc etc till we had everything we wanted. He designed the kitchen layout and even a custom beverage center that we had never thought of doing. Ray gave us an overall job timeline and worked with us to get the 2nd story of the home completely done fast so we could move into the upstairs while the rest of the remodel was being done. I have never been the type to give a job to somebody I have hired and not oversee every single detail along the way, until now!! Ray and his guys were unbelievable, they went above and beyond on so many of the big jobs and so many of the small details. Ray found some wooden built in's that were an older style wood like our banister and he suggested that we re stain them to match the bannister because it would look funny otherwise. He replaced all the plugs/switches in the house and put new covers on. They moved some lights around to the new rooms, I mean the list goes on and on and on about the level of detail and precision with which the work was being done. Ray will be the last contractor I ever hire again. I do not know how many times I asked Ray for a small tweak here or a small change there and he always had the same answer, yes we can do that no problem, and always made suggestions on how to make things even better. Ray is the type of guy that will under promise and over deliver and that is the kind of guy I like working with. I have to say when all was said and done I consider Ray a friend he treated my house like it was his and did everything he could to make the house perfect. When he and his guys were done it was like we had a brand new house from top to bottom.

Advance Solutions came and remodeled our kitchen for us a few months ago, and did a fantastic job. Ray had walked us through everything- including designing our kitchen, picking out the right materials, and finding the best appliances. He even gave us contractor's discounts on our materials. The discounts really helped us because we wouldn't have been able to afford the nice tiles and granite countertops if Ray didn't help us out with discounts. Ray really helped us every step of the way. And that made a difference because we had never done a remodel before and have no idea how it works. Before we decided to remodel our kitchen, we did a lot of researching and reading about the different contractors we saw. We wanted to make sure we picked out a good contractor who wouldn't take advantage of us. Thank goodness we found Advance Solutions because they did a good job taking care of us and looking out for our best interest. We love our new kitchen, especially the backsplash and new lights. The backsplash is just so beautiful now! I love the tile selection Ray helped us pick out, and the new lights are really chic and modern. Before our kitchen was so outdated and ugly- we weren't sure how it would turn out. But Ray and his team did a fabulous job in making our kitchen look so good! They also helped us with our cabinets- from designing to picking them out, to installing them. The cabinets look beautiful and match the granite countertops. Another thing we really liked about Advance Solutions is that they were attentive to the legal matters like permits. Ray made sure that all the legal matters were taken care of and that we got the proper permits we needed for our kitchen. We also really liked how his crew worked- they were very neat and tidy with their workspace. They kept the kitchen area clean and organized. Ray has been a wonderful person to work with, and his work is fantastic. They even finished our kitchen remodel a few days before the deadline. We would recommend Ray to anyone who is interested in doing any kind of remodeling in their home. He is trustworthy, has good work ethics, and is a genuinely wonderful person to work with.

Daily contact with my contractor and the workers were very professional. They were on time with the scheduled times. The estimate time of completion was on point. The workers were very careful in the care of the surrounding areas. The outcome of my kitchen remodel was well worth the cost.

Six months earlier, Ray did a beautiful job remodeling my kitchen. I decided to pull out the carpet in my living room and continue the new tile into that room. Unfortunately when the baseboards were pulled up near the front window, we discovered a mold issue due to that window leaking. There was also a similar problem in another window due to a leak from the ceiling above it. Ray was able to cut out the problem areas, treat the mold, re-drywall, then continue with the original project - tile and paint. I like that he can do it all, that we didn't have to stop and call a mold company out. I would definitely continue to recommend Advance Solutions Co. and Ray Foster.

We are having our entire home remodeled and are so fortunate to have Ray completing the work. We have heard horror stories and entered the project filled with trepidation. Our fears were dispelled by Ray. We highly recommend Ray and his company to anyone needing a contractor. We will gladly open our home as a showcase of the wonderful work this man does!

The shower floor pools water during a shower. Ray stated it was within standards. We didn't argue since we wanted them out of our house. The old shower did not pool water. Ray could be very nice. Also very immature. His customer skills are lacking. When he was going to pick up the vanity we had purchased, he told me he needed the receipt. I had trouble scanning it to him so I called and left a message on 2 phone numbers explaining I wasn't sure it was sent successfully. He never responded back. A couple of days later I called and spoke to Ray. He said he had picked up the vanity without a receipt since he has an account at that store, and we had left his company name as the ones picking it up. So, no kidding, I said "Ray, I spent some frustrating time trying to make sure you had a copy of the receipt. I left a couple of messages wanting you to confirm receipt. My call today is because I wasn't sure you had what you needed to pick up the vanity". His response-"Fine. You want your money back? I will refund your money and we're out of here". Our bathroom was already mostly demo'ed. I was speachless. Later in the discussion he admitted receiving the receipt and phone messages. Ray also wanted the final payment of $500.00 before the job was complete. The molding around the vanity was incomplete. The material was not on site. He blamed me for not ordering it when we bought the vanity. The truth was he forgot to tell us we needed it. He threatened to place a lein on our house. He seemed VERY desperate for money. They did complete prior to the final payment. We had to hire an electritian to finish the ceiling fan though. Ray said the fan could not have its own switch unless they tore out the drywall from the switch to the light outlet,about 7'. CES electric did a beautiful job adding a switch without any drywall removal. |About a week after they were done we noticed the toilet tank lid had a jagged 2"x4"piece broken off the side not visible. Great work guys.

I searched Angie's list for a counter guy after using another contractor for work on my condo who turned out to be a nightmare. I decided to go with Advanced Solutions based upon the reviews. Ray responded quickly and we met at the condo where he took all the measurements, answered all my questions and within an hour or two, I had a proposal that was right on my budget. We met a couple days later to pick out the materials and he started demo the next day. Ray kept me posted on the work progress (I was traveling) and everything went smoothly and quickly. I had a nice piece of Sea Foam granite that he was able to use for my bathroom which was a bit different from that I used for the kitchen. During the project, I asked if he could add a piece of the granite to an upstairs linen cabinet, and he did that for a minimal charge. All in all, this was a painless, quick remodel. Work began on a Wednesday and it was done a week later. It is an amazing transformation with no drama. And it looks great. I would use these guys again, and I plan to when I get around to putting tile flooring in the kitchen, entry way and bath.

We had been dealing with another contractor before we finally gave up and called Advance Solutions. We called and spoke to the lovely Alvina and Ray arrived the next day to take a look at our house. Ray was friendly, respectful, courteous, and most of all HONEST. There were some ideas that we had that he just flat our said that it would be too expensive to do with the budget we had. However, he always came up with an alternative, less expensive way to do something we wanted. In less than a week, we received a quote from Alvina via email with all the details that we spoke to Ray about. Ray thought that it would be better that Advance Solutions the labor and we provide the materials since we had already purchased some items. Within a month, Ray and his team were in our house working day in and day out. Ray and I would meet at various tile places to go over the design and overall look I was trying to achieve. Believe it or not, Ray is one heck of a designer. He has so much experience and is willing to help you coordinate different items (tile, flooring, countertops, etc.) to get the look you are going for. Also, as a client, Ray gives you his discount at all the stores he gets a discount at. I think his discount alone saved us a couple thousand dollars!! It was a HUGE benefit of working with Ray since the initial contractor was not willing to give us his discount. Alfredo (one of Advance Solutions main workers) is AMAZING!! He is so friendly and it seems like his main goal in life is to make you (the customer) happy. He was completely willing to change things if I wanted something done a little different (within reason of course). He is honest and incredibly talented at what he does. Overall, Ray and his team were in my house for about 10 weeks. Like any other huge project, there were times that I was just ready for it all to be over with. However, I am not sure that I would have been able to get through it without Ray and Alfredo. They did an incredible job! I would (and already have) recommended Advance Solutions to friends. I will definitely use them again for my next house project!

This company is certainly the cheapest, but by no means are they the best. We wanted to hire them because, well, let?s face it, we?re cheap! However, they could not for the life of them figure out how to do a quote properly. Firstly, you have to play telephone with Ray?s assistant who is in their office. First you email her, then she calls Ray, then he talks to her, and she emails you back. By the time the message gets back to you, most of the time it?s wrong. Of course you can speak to Ray over the phone directly, but then if you want anything in writing, you have to go back, type up what you spoke about, and then the email goes back to his assistant again and you?re right back where you started. We asked Ray to give us a quote for cutting some tile. He had the measurements of our space that he had taken himself. There were three different areas that needed cuts. So each area was to be broken down separately on the quote. When the quote came back, he wanted to charge $3800 to cut 132 sq ft of tile. That?s fine, it?s a lot of tile to cut and I expected it. But then his second bullet point was for 7 sq ft of tile and was listed as $3500! And his 3rd bullet point was for $3400 for ONE sq ft of tile! Ok, clearly something was wrong. I played the telephone game with them a while, and eventually had to speak to Ray directly to try and figure anything out. So, he tried again. I expected the first three bullet points to be replaced by three new ones. Instead, the quote came back with the wrong original three still there, and then one additional bullet point combining ALL of the tile cuts into one quote of $5650. The point of breaking down the cuts into separate bullet points was so I could decide for each area if I would find the odd sizes online somewhere or have them cut for me. So how does one quote lumping them all together help me?!? At that point it was obvious that creating a quote, let alone doing the job, was too complicated for them, so we decided to move on to our second choice contractor. I?m not giving them F's in all categories because Ray really did seem like a nice guy, but complicated jobs (if you can call a job that requires cutting a lot of tile complicated) just doesn?t seem to be their forte. By all means, if you have a very straight forward job, where you aren?t going to be picky about the details, they?ll probably do a great job for you at a very affordable price. However, if you have anything that requires a bit of thinking, perhaps, pay the extra 1-2 thousand and chose someone else. We are certainly glad we did.

Ray and his team did a wonderful job on our bathrooms and laundry room. Everything came out beautifully. The workers showed up promptly in the morning and locked up the house when departing for the day. Ray was very accommodating of my requests. The remodel was completed in a timely manner and as planned. The nice thing was that I had time to paint the bathrooms myself before the cabinets and fixtures were installed. During the remodel my oven had died, so I purchased a new one and had Ray install it for me even though I wasn't doing a kitchen remodel. I just have few items that need to be touched up, and he/staff will be here next week to complete it. Essentially everything is completed and it is wonderful.

Work went well,Ray Foster is very professional any concerns were taken care of.The walk in shower was started and needed to be wider than planed Ray made it right. They painted all walls and ceiling,removed wood floor, laid ceramic tile it looks beautiful. Job well done. Advance Solutions, Co.hired by the owners of the condo out of town when work was being done. I am to see work is done by contract. The workers had keys to enter and exit, they showed up on time and left on time.

After seeing my first review they called to let me know that their appointment wasn't until tomorrow. I made a huge error and reviewed the wrong company. Please delete my previous review.

I called Ray Foster last year when I wanted to start this renovation project and I had started to do some of the demo work myself. Advance Solutions had a good rating in Angie's List, so I wanted to get a quote from them. Ray came out and took a look at the job and gave us a price that I thought was fair for the amount of work involved. I signed a contract with him and the work began. I had been planning another project to re-pipe the house and shortly after Advance Solutions started the rest of the demolition work, it became obvious that I would have to complete that job before Ray and the team could really do the work in the bathroom. I wanted to do the work myself as I had not budgeted for the big plumbing project at the same time as the renovation. To make a long story short, I took forever to get the plumbing done and Ray just put me on hold for months waiting for me to finish. When I finally got the new plumbing in, I called Ray and we made an agreement for a date to restart the project. The work progressed well and we really loved the design that Ray and his team came up with. My house is about thirty seven years old and as things progressed Ray's team ran into some unexpected obstacles, some of which required additional work and expense. I am very familiar with construction projects and know that the changes suggested were absolutely required and I would have done them myself if I had the time to do the work. Ray gave me a fair price for the work (replacing and supporting a new sub floor for the whole bathroom. They did a nice job and the project continued. There were a couple of other things that came up that ray and his team identified and fixed at no extra charge. As part of my plumbing project, I went to the city and pulled a permit for all the work. It cost a few hundred bucks but it is great insurance for several reasons and I recommend that everyone doing this kind of work do the same. I had a great plumbing inspector who came out several times during the work and several times he found things that he wanted me to change. He found a couple of things that he wanted Ray's guys to change as well. While they had some discussion about it, Ray's team made all the changes and we passed the plumbing and electrical inspection. This inspector was a real stickler and pointed out every little thing that might be a problem and I made sure they were all completely done to code. I really appreciated the thoroughness and concern the inspector showed and I really felt that he was looking after my best interest. I also appreciated the fact that Ray's team went ahead and did everything the inspector asked without any problems. There were also a couple of things that were incorrectly done, such as the wrong tile being installed on the floor of the shower. I think this happened from a miscommunication between Ray and the tile installers. No problem. Ray came out and had the guys take up the wrong tile and put down the right tile the next day. Nobody is perfect and these projects often have complications. I really liked working with this company and feel like they always tried to do the right thing to make me, and more importantly my wife, happy. In the end the work came out beautifully and we are very very happy with the results. Ray and his team, particularly his terrific ceramic tile installers, came up with some creative ideas for design that resulted in a beautiful finished result. My next project is going to be a new tile floor for our kitchen and granite countertops. I'll be scheduling Advance Solutions to do the work as soon as possible.

This was the first time we ever hired a contractor and honestly, we didn't know what to expect. Advance Solutions, Co really came through for us. The bathrooms look great! The workers are very good at what they do. They also kept the area clean. Ray Foster is very friendly and responsive. Whenever we had any concerns, Ray always answered right away. Overall, we are very happy with the outcome of Advance Solutions' work.

They finished everything on time and the job looks great. I am very very happy. I am very pleased with their work. They charged $3,200 for their service plus the materials that they used. They came when they said that they were going to come. Everyone was very careful with what they did and made sure that they did a very good job. It was 100%. It was very very good. Their pricing was fair and they were very responsive. I had asked them to give a quote on the bathroom but they said that they could not start for two or three months, so we are in a holding pattern but I would definitely use them again.

How did it go? Great!! It was painless. I had met with several contractors prior to Ray and that was an experience! Ray was professional, honest, and more than willing to work within my budget. I didn't feel like I was being pressured or talked into doing more than I had planned on doing. Not only was Ray professional, but he provided advice and suggestion regarding paint colors, and type of tile that would work best in my bathroom. He kept me informed of every decision being made throughout the whole process. Nothing was a surprise. His workers were professional and may I say very clean. They didn't leave a mess after a whole days work. I have to say that I will definitely use Advanced Solutions again and again :-)

In the beginnging, I was very confident that Mr. Foster would do a good job. Before the job started, I asked Mr. Foster to make sure all his workers who would be at my house spoke English since I don't have the best Spanish speaking ability and I wanted to be able to communicate. Mr. Foster assured me his workers would speak English, but none of them did. Communicating with the workers was very hard and limited since Mr. Foster wasn't on the job site. He showed up once or twice a week during a month long remodel, so I only saw him approximately five times. Countertops and cabinets were subcontracted by another company, and I do not have any complaints about their work. However, I am not happy with the work performed by Mr. Foster's workers. For example: I had new mirrors installed in both bathrooms, and his workers left the old medicine cabinets in. I specifically requested the medicine cabinets be removed. When they were not, I called Mr. Foster and he assured me that the medicine cabinets would get removed. At this time, I was getting ready to leave for vacation so we agreed to do it upon my return. I called when I got back from vacation, and Mr. Foster refused to remove the medicine cabinets explaining he's already invested a lot of time on the project. I also brought up other concerns including scratches in the strainless steel kitchen sink and dent in the kitchen's linoleum floor. Mr. Foster refused to repair either and accused me of scratching the sink myself since I wasn't reporting it to him until three weeks later (due to being on vacation). At this time, I decided to hire a different contractor to repair these problems which is when I discovered a problem with the electrical wiring. Because of this, I also had to hire an electrician who explained Mr. Foster's electrical wiring was not up to code. It cost me $1,550 to correct this issue. I asked Mr. Foster to reimburse me for the new electrician's bill. He refused to reimburse me and turned my request over to his attorney. I received a letter from his attorney explaining Mr. Foster advised me to hire another electrician before starting the job. This was not the case. Mr. Foster said his workers would re-wire the outlets and switches going to the microwave and the stove to bring it up to code before he began working on the job. I hired Mr. Foster because he assured me that he could correct this proiblem. I filed a complaint with the state licensing board, but I have not gotten a response from Mr. Foster.

We didn't like their quote. I had requested separate labor charges and I haven't get it. I thought the price was high as well. They are very good and responsive in giving the quote. I would not get an quote from them again.

They demolished our kitchen down to the drywall and sub-floor, and built it back up. They replaced old vinyl flooring with new hardwood hickory floor. They replaced old oak cabinets with new maple cabinets. They installed a new stove, new oven, new stone countertop, and new tile backsplash. They repainted the walls and rewired some electrical outlets. They installed new plumbing pipe needed for our new sink. They replaced our old tube fluorescent ballasts with modern compact fluorescent bulbs. We'd put off remodeling our kitchen for years because I'd seen too many contractor disasters not to be afraid of the process. With Advance Solutions Co. I needn't have worried; our experience was virtually worry-free. This company is incredibly responsive; every time we had the slightest question, they were available to talk with us either on the spot or within the hour by phone. My wife and I always felt we were being kept in the loop at all times. The quality of the work is excellent. We've had a month to work with our new kitchen, and we've not found major problems with any of the workmanship. The room is a dream to cook in, and Ray Fosters design changes have solved some nagging problems we had with our old kitchen. We had very little pantry space in the old kitchen, and he suggested ways of expanding our pantry space that, as a side bonus, also gave us additional counter space by using the space in the kitchen more intelligently. He also suggested replacing our hood/cabinet unit with a free-standing range hood to open up the room to the living area. This has succeeded wonderfully. They used best practices throughout the job, cleaning up at the end of the day and screening the job from the rest of the house to ameliorate the dust. No job of this size is without a minor problem or two. When problems arose during the job (a slightly mis-measured cabinet door, a scored floorboard, a worker on the phone while measuring) Advance Solutions was always ready to discuss the problem and suggest multiple solutions. Ray Fosters/ Advance Solutions responsiveness to our concerns was quick and went a long way toward fixing these issues. Despite those very minor issues, we've been thrilled with our new kitchen. It's lovely to look at, very well put-together and easy to work with. Our experience with Advance Solutions was very positive; we'd definitely use them again.

In late October 2012, a pipe broke in the slab, spraying water throughout the interior walls, while damaging four walls in two bathrooms, the family room and hallway to the bedrooms. The broken pipe caused a great amount of mold to grow and cause me and my family and I to stay in a hotel for several weeks while the walls where being dried, treated and the molded drywall removed. During this time, I search Angie?s List for a bathroom remodeling expert and found Ray Foster at Advanced Solutions. Ray came to my home and provided and estimate to bring the bathrooms, walls, etc. back to their original state. I asked for upgrades and he provided that as well. His professional, character, honesty, and description of the work that would be done made me feel that I could trust in him. I recognized that I would have to trust Ray?s team in my house while my children were at school and my wife and I were at work. They began the work during the holidays and I had the opportunity to witness the work being done. As we got to know each other, it became very evident that I could trust Ray?s team to be in my house while we were at work or school. He team not only did a great job in the bathrooms, but I felt that while working, they watch out for my house. They even fed our cat. As the work began, his team completely took everything out of the bathrooms down to the studs. From there, his team put new waterproof/mold resident drywall, recess lights, shower pan, shower tile, shower door, dual shower heads, Jacuzzi tub, cabinets, sinks, granite, entry doors, closet mirror doors, tile on the floors and walls, hanging light above the dual sinks, crown/floor molding, etc.. There are too many things to discuss. During the beginning phase of the remodeling, I set high expectations for Ray and his team and they exceeded those expectations greatly. Once completed with the bathrooms, I was so impressed at the exceptional work, that that I hired Ray and his team to complete the rest of my house. That included four bedrooms (one turned into a study), kitchen, family room, living room and the removal and replacement of my interior fireplace. The cottage cheese from each room was removed from the interior ceilings and the ceilings were leveled due to the imperfections that were caused by the tile roof settling and other issues from a leaking roof. All the rooms were taken down to the bare walls, no flooring, all doors removed and no closet doors/shelves, which provided Ray with a painters pallet to design and model each room to perfection. Once I saw Ray?s vision, I made sure that very room was empty so that his vision could be fulfilled. I found that Ray?s vision as a contractor and interior designer was greater than my vision, I let Ray find the materials, he sent photo?s and we came to an agreement. WOW ? what a great vision Ray has. I could never have seen the things that Ray did while looking at an empty canvas. He is an artist, and now trusted friend that I would recommend to all that need a remodeling. Remember you get what you pay for and I am extremely happy with my house and it is not finished yet. I will be working with Ray to help my find the appropriate furniture for each of my newly remolded rooms.

They had a good presentation. Pricing wise, they didn't fit for whatever our budget. I like that he had a 3-D presentation that I could look at later and examples of work that he's done in the past for his previous clients. I think one of the things that I didn't like was that at some point, he suggests that we move piping around to move thing around and that was obviously would be really tough, so that was really something we are looking at but he's giving us different options. They were pretty responsive and very professional.
