THE FLOOR STORES

At first they were very eager to get my business. Replied back to me immediately. I had used Abbey Flooring in Livermore, and had great success. Abbey flooring was booked out, so I used The Floor Store. BIG MISTAKE! The flooring that was installed does not match my other floors. When I called to discuss it, the person who answered the phone told me Rachelle, (who was my sales person) was out for about a week, but she would most likely come by and look at the floor. I called a week later, Rachelle stated she did not receive the message and would not come out. She told me verbatim 'There is nothing we can do, the floor is installed.' I told her about the flooring not matching my other hardwood floors, and she said 'Oh, it probably needs to get some sun and oxidize, it will be fine.' I asked again if she could come out and look at the floor. She said no. But told me the box should have a code on it, and if not to let her know if it did not. I checked the box and told her the code (SKU) was not on the box. No action has been taken on her part. And so my situation sits. Boy was she eager to get my money, but not so eager to discuss this issue and AT LEAST come out and look at the flooring. I made a BIG MISTAKE. I should have stuck with Abbey flooring in Livermore. Their customer service and follow up is outstanding. The Floor Store simply does not care about this customer. I will NEVER use them again. STAY AWAY from the FLOOR STORE!

The work was done to perfection! Once the date was set for installment, the contractor, Larry, showed up when he said he would and finished when he said he would. Wow, what a novel concept!!! He was thoughtful in answering my questions and made great suggestions for how to lay out the flooring. The manager of the Dublin store was exceptionally helpful in answering my questions and writing up the order. I couldn't have been happier. with the whole job from start to finish.

It went great. Our sales associate helped us work through the mountain of options available all while helping keep our two year old entertained. The measurement and installation crew did a great job, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job moving the furniture to complete the install.

We were generally disappointed in the responsiveness. Initial we visited there store in San Carlos and were impressed with display of products and staff. At this time we put down a deposit on materials as they were having a sale and no tax holiday. However it too way too much time to provided a complete quotation including installation, etc. Once we compared the quotation with another vendor for the identical materials their quoted price was >5K higher. When we requested a return of our deposit we were told that it would take 3 weeks. This seemed to be very long for us.

They're very courteous and they bought the product on time. They installed it very nicely and it went quickly.

We bought all our tiles from floor store for 2.5 bath remodel. Dublin store has a good selection of wall/floor/accent tiles. We went with Daltile for floor/wall and Bellavita accent tiles. Taryn did a fine job getting our order in and following up promptly. When one of the glass tiles was backordered for 6 weeks she called pronto and I switched to our backup tile choice. The tiles arrived on schedule. When we decided to go with 2x2 mosaic for the shower stall floor somewhat last minute she was able to expedite the delivery and get that in on time when my contractor was ready. the pricing was definitely better than a Daltile store and there was a no sales tax promotion. Overall the experience was pleasant and high marks to Taryn for very good customer support.

They're excellent. They were on time. I scheduled around having our cabinets and island installed. Everything was coordinated with Affordable Quality Cabinetry. It was nice that they communicated. That being said, the floors were done in a timely manner. Just had to wait overnight for the grout. The guys came back to finish with the island, and everything was done.

The person who came out to do the measuring didn't understand measuring tile or hardwood flooring. It was supposed to be done in 3 day, but it took over 3 weeks. We do love their products though.

They are excellent. My experience with this person, Keith Goddin, was quite good. They do a good job. The flooring they did for me was quite expensive but I got what I paid for.

Bad exsperience, go else where for better service.

We first saw The Floor Store at the Pleasanton Home Show this past spring. They were offering a promotion that locked the price of what you purchased if you paid them a $100 deposit. We had recently purchased a home which was in need of flooring. We went to the Dublin store a number of times but had difficulty getting anyone to really work with us. We were shown the samples but were not told which of the products we were shown would be the price we had 'deposited'. After about three trips to this store and each time leaving with nothing we bought our flooring elsewhere. Since then I've called three times to get my deposit back. After reading reviews elsewhwere about this business I'm wondering if I'll ever get it back...

Our contact at the Dublin store was Diana H. Not only did she get us a competitive price, but she worked very hard to get us carpet in time for installation before our move-in date. In fact, even though we had a bid from a different company for the same carpet at a few hundred dollars less, we decided to go with Diana and Floor Store because the other salesperson was less responsive and we didn't believe that he was going to come through with the short delivery. Diana sent daily email updates and when our initial color choice was going to take too long, she found a very similar color in stock and (after consulting with us) got it shipped in time. After one store visit, we did the entire contract by email/fax without a hitch. Our installer was Pablo, he did a good job and his crew worked diligently all day. I would use the Floor Store again in the future (and Diana in particular).

The sales people were great. Took the time to explain and educate on differences between products. Purchased carpet and laminate on special sale day. I was in the middle of a major remodel job on my home and I had to schedule 2 different appointments for my installations. Spoke with sales associate and set up laminate installation. First work order stated "laminate only". I was contacted by installation manager who confirmed laminate installation and carpet to follow a few weeks later. On day of installation I called installation manager to confirm workers got in. He stated everything going as scheduled and would call later in day to keep me updated. I receive call around 2pm from manager stating "almost done with carpet install". I ask him to repeat and he said "they are almost done with carpet installation". I told him he was only suppose to be installing laminate. He disagreed and stated that is what I told him to do. I argued with him for a few minutes and finally told him to have his men stop and I would be by. I called my sales associate and told her what was going on. She apologized and told me it states clearly on work order "laminate first". Due to work I was not able to get my home until the next day. Upon entering my home I noticed things where not where I had left them, namely all my power tools where missing. My home had been burglarized and approx. $2500.00 in tools stolen I called police and then The Floor Store. Told Floor Store manager of situation and wanted names of everyone in my home. Went to store to talk to manager in person to discuss screw up in installation. Installation manager still insists that is what I told him to do. This was extremely frustrating because he would not own his mistake. I gave them 2 options, remove all the carpet and reinstall after carpentry work was done or pay for all the carpentry work to be completed. They chose to remove carpet and left me to protect carpet on stairs with plastic film. Next was the laminate installation, I was told they would make sure floor was level before installation, which they did not and floor has a slope on one side. Per installation manager not their responsibility but he would send someone out to look. Guys showed up 2 hours late and needed to remove entire floor to solve problem. That was unacceptable and I chose to live with it. Next they returned to reinstall carpet. This went fine accept carpet had some strange fibers standing up. It took 5 weeks to get installation manager out to my home which is less than 1 mile from store. He had no answer for defect and finally offered to come out weeks later to cut/trim all long fibers. I chose to do it myself. I never received an apology from the installation manager for the headache he caused. I was never offered any kind of discount, refund or compensation for their quality of work or lack there of. I wasn't compensated for the 2 days I took off work in order to straighten up their mistake.

THEY SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH US TRYING TO HELP US DECIDE WHICH WOULD BE THE BEST CHOICE OF HARDWOOD FOR OUR FAMILY. THEY WERE NEVER PUSHY AND VERY PROMPT. OVERALL VERY HAPPY WITH THE SALES PEOPLE.
