BRETT'S PAINTING

I reviewed three bids and selected Brett's painting. The bid was mid range. I selected Brett due to the thoroughness of his assessment of my house and the work required considering the last time the home was painted was 1990. It is paramount to me who comes on my property to perform work and as Brett is the proprietor with a California contractor license that greatly appealed to me. Brett made solid recommendations on how I should handle the wood rot. Brett was spot on with his assessment on the time and materials required, he and his employee were on time and only missed days because of rain. I got what I paid for - a beautiful exterior paint job handled by two professionals. Clean and neat not a drop of paint anywhere except where it belonged. I will hire Brett without any hesitation for my next painting job on the interior and recommend him to my neighbors. Thanks a million Brett !!

Brett is not only an excellent painter, but also a really great guy. From our initial quote, during the project, through to payment - Brett was always looking out for our best interest. His experience is obvious, his transperancy and responsiveness appreciated and his customer service is hands down the best. Both him and Bill were just the friendliest and it’s just incredible how much they’re able to do in a day’s time. They were early in arriving every day, gave a daily update, promptly contacted me if there were any issues or decisions I need to make a call on, and left our place super clean and secure every evening. To say I’m happy with the result is a complete understatement. I’m already picking out paint colors for the next project so I can get back in line for Brett to come out again.

Brett is a experienced highly skilled craftsman. From the proposal to completion the experience was outstanding. He and his crew (Bill and Troy) were on time everyday, friendly, personable, and professional. The attention to detail and skill in cutting in were amazing. Drop clothes were laid and furniture covered before the first paint can was opened. They were organized, had a plan for the day and efficient. The best painters I have ever used.

Brett took the time to really inspect our stucco house in Pleasanton and pointed out some fascia which needed to be repaired, along with some damage to the back of the house which I hadn't noticed. Neither of the other painters I called were so detailed in their inspections nor in their estimates. Brett and his helper were polite and hardworking. We were quite pleased with the job and would recommend Brett's Painting highly.

Brett was an excellent contractor, in that he gave a very detailed quote, accurately communicated all aspects of the job, and completed the work earlier than the stated timeline and under budget. Plus, he is a gentleman and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him.

Obtained what we wanted with cabinets that have a factory like finish. Brett carefully planned each step. Masking all the openings was tedious; I would not have had the required patience. Bill did the actual spray painting and exhibited true craftsmanship. The one suggestion I will make is to periodically renew some of the tarps. They get very dirty from the overspray and it would preferred to use tarps at least inside the house that do not carry so much dirt. Anyone receiving such service will need to deal with cleaning up afterwards; it can't be avoided.

Throughout the whole process from initial estimate to completing the job, Brett is very responsive and professional. He showed up on time, answered our questions, provided professional opinion, responded to emails and calls promptly, and accommodated our changing schedule. His team did an excellent job preparing for the painting: taped and covered the floor, furniture, bathroom vanity, faucets carefully. Also, they made a point of cleaning up afterwards. The painting was completed ahead of schedule and the house looks great! I highly recommend Brett.

We are totally satisfied with every aspect of the work that Bret and his crew did !!! He painted several rooms in my house, painted the exterior of my house, garage, cattery, mother-in-law cottage and storage shed. Luckily he found some dry rot on the deck and did all the repairs needed. He also went to our new house and totally revamped the interior before we moved in. He also cleaned all the cement walkways and made them look almost new. I can't say enough good things about Bret and his crew. They are dependable, professional and easy to deal with.

Nine years ago I was impressed with Brett's work and again hired him to paint the house exterior. He and his crew are professionals who pay attention to detail and are timely in getting the job done. Brett includes in his quote fixing minor dry rot problems and, in our case, found some major panel delamination and directed us to a contractor with experience fixing this type of damage. Brett will return to paint this once it gets fixed. Importantly, Brett uses top quality paint and products and includes in his quote using a special peel-stop paint over areas that are problematic in this regard. All windows, sidewalks, decks, landscaping, etc. were protected from drips or over spray. After they finished the place was cleaner than before!! We found Brett organized, on time, and his quote fairly priced.

Best painting experience ever!!! Brett is a consummate professional. He provided a detailed quote which not only included house painting, but also repair on wood that we didn’t realize had dry rot, shutter repair, replace screening under the eaves and power washing the house and upper and lower decks. His price was reasonable and competitive. Brett communicated with us every step of the way. He’s been doing this for 18 years and really knows his stuff. We live in a tri-level house on a hill and it can get windy here. Brett hand rolled the paint when necessary which just shows his commitment to excellence and doing the job right. He and his team were meticulous in preparing areas by taping off, covering with plastic and placing drop cloths to make sure the paint only got where it was supposed to be. Brett is a man of honesty and integrity. He and his team are reliable, friendly and courteous. A real treasure find in a time when many are not. We are thrilled with the results and would recommend Brett’s Painting in a heartbeat.

Brett was always on time and he & Bill delivered as promised. The quality was very nice and they protected our furniture & floor well. I would have rated him higher if the transitional lines were more crisp & we had less grumbling with moving the furniture. They did ask us to check their work & indicate any re-dos needed. They did not question us on any of these.

Brett and his crew were prompt -- arrived at the exact time promised. Brett made sure that the paint color was what I had imagined. When it wasn't, he was willing to find the right color and make the change. He was also willing to do extra work when asked that day, for an additional fee. Brett provided an itemized receipt. His crew cleaned up after themselves, and made sure that I was satisfied with the work - fixing what needed to be done.

I contacted Brett on September 4th and he responded the same day. He made an appointment to come to my home for a quote. I could tell immediately that his attention to detail was far above the other three quotes I had received. He was not the least expensive or the most expensive quote, but he spent more time looking over each wall than any of the other painters. He quoted me a start date of December 3rd. If you know me, I take for ever to make decisions about big projects, but when I do I want them done right then. I decided to test my patience, and it was well worth the wait! Most anyone can paint a house, but over time there are small inclusions that need repair and most painters will avoid fixing these as it takes additional time. Brett went over each item he noticed. I even added on additional areas as we went because I knew he would do it to the standards I was looking for. I will be contacting Brett again for the upstairs bedrooms. I recommend planning ahead.

They did awesome job with very reasonable price. They spent 6 days to painted our house. Brett is the owner and he did the job with one helper. He is a very experienced painter. Our neighbors loved our house after it was painted.

Excellent job. They were prompt, polite and fast. Completed the job in one day. Fixed all the cracks in the walls. Very neat. Brett's Painting has done many job's for me and I would highly recommend them for any job.

Brett was terrific!! All was done beyond our expectations! On time and all work was done with great care! We would hire these guys again.....NO Question!! We are doing interior and he is the guy for the job!

From the start until finish, Brett is easy to work with. I called and made appointment to have an estimate, Brett came on time. The estimate actually a little bit out of our budget, so we talked and reduce some of the works. Brett is willing to fit to our budget without reduce his quality of painting. We have to wait about 4 weeks before the work starts. During the work, he kept the yard clean. The house is looked so nice and neat. Thank you Brett and Bill.

Excellent, as always. I had Brett paint the outside of our house several years ago and he did a fabulous job. I have had him back for other jobs. I would not hire anyone else. He is always professional, tidy and always does a little bit extra. Please note - he came to finish up on a holiday!

Both jobs were done with attention to detail, started on time and ended on time. Brett always explains what needs to be done and why; he explains the condition of the old paint and whether or not it needs to be painted or it can wait for a later date. There are 2 reasons I mentioned the 2010 painting. 1) Brett buys only better quality paint and the interior of our house still looks good 8 years later. 2) We needed the whole house textured (skip-trowel) and Brett brought in a top professional to do the work. Our ceilings were cracked and sagging in a number of rooms and 8 years later they still look good; the cracks are still gone, and ceilings LOOK flat. I highly recommend Brett for painting jobs.

Brett and his team are great. They were very professional and careful with my home. They worked quickly and tried very hard to minimize the disruption to my home. He was very meticulous, too, and re-did things in several instances when he wasn't satisfied with the first pass (thought it looked fine to me). Brett even pointed out to me that I could install LED lights where my overhead can lights were located, and use less energy, and offered to get them and install them for me. I liked what he did so much, I'm looking for other projects that could use a coat of paint!

They covered all the larger pieces of furniture with plastic and they moved the furniture around so we didn’t have to. They minimized the dust as much as possible and had drop cloths on all the floors. They removed a old patio cover and hauled away, Brett suggested colors which was helpful and the house looks great now. They removed wood rot and pressure washed on the exterior. I would use the company again as Brett consulted me several times when things came up and was willing to make some minor changes.

Brett did an amazing job. He responds quickly to service requests, he communicates well, and his work is great. He is busy because of his good reputation but his quality work is the reason. Brett takes pride in his work and also connects to the homeowner as part of the process, which I appreciated. His crew is also reliable. We have now had Brett back twice since original work was done and I am calling again for another job. Thanks Brett!

Happy to write this review for Brett's Painting. Contacted Brett and he promptly called back to make an appointment. He listened and asked the right questions to understand what I was looking for and made his recommendations. Requested two quotes 1.) paint specific areas throughout the interior of my home that had been renovated 2.) paint entire interior of the house. Compared to the other quotes I received, Brett's quote for the entire house was so competitive, I went with that option. Couldn't be happier with the results. Brett and his team (Bill and Byron) arrived on time at 8AM each day and did a fabulous and professional job. They are detail oriented which shows in the final results...amazing! The best feedback came from my 7-year old niece who arrived for a sleepover and exclaimed "Auntie, it looks like a whole new house!"
