1 DAY KITCHEN LIGHTS

Perfect. Konrad's bid was 1/4 the estimate I received from another contractor and he did a fantastic job. Konrad, his wife and son came very early, worked all day installing can lights, installed a new ceiling, painted and textured for a nice match to the walls. They were very careful to protect all surfaces. Pendant lights that I had ordered from a light store weren't ready so Konrad came back and installed them when they arrived.

Konrad provided a written email estimate for the job costs and the date of work. His price was very fair as compared to estimates received from other contractors. He arrived on time, completely covered everything in the work area with plastic, gave a new recommendation for light placement to improve appearance and cleaned up leaving the rooms cleaner than when he arrived. He is a real pro, very knowledgeable and extremely nice to work with. He was even concerned that he wanted to make sure that our cat didn't get out by accident. He finished the job in about five hours. I would certainly ask Konrad to do any additional lighting work and I would certainly recommend him to anyone who wants excellent work, a fair price and a pleasant experience.

The team arrived at 7am, we review the plan to be sure there were no changes. The crew went to work and were finished at the end of the day, as advertised. They covered the floors, furniture and other surfaces with plastic and tarps, while working. All debrie and trash were removed when they left. We did add an additional light and the final check was adjusted for that amount.

We were delighted with what he did. He worked here for about maybe three weeks, he was here for a couple of days and then he came back the next week and the next for a couple of days each, he did recessed lighting all over the place. We did the one 1D kitchen lights he did in one day, and I had a similar exercise because the lighting in the master bath was very similar to what we had in the kitchen, lights that he yanked down, and he put a bunch of canned lights in. Then we asked him to come back and add canned lights to the family room and the hallways, it's a lot brighter now. Hard worker, honours commitments, was not satisfied until we were satisfied, came early, stayed late. Did everything he said he was going to do until he started running out of time and then I told him 8 o'clock was long enough to stay.

Same as above. Plus, LED lights are very nice, warm lights that will last many many years!

1 Day Kitchen Lights is a husband-and-wife team that specialize in updating 80's style fluorescent recessed kitchen lights with new, recessed lights, and adding trim work and finish to the hole left behind. I found them in one of those coupon magazines that get mailed out once a month, and checked out their website. The pictures in their page describing the process could have been shot in our kitchen, so I gave them a call. Konrad arrived the next day and quoted a 'show special' of $1700 for eight lights and a dimmer switch, new trim, and texture and paint of the drywall. He arrived exactly when he said he would, and followed up with an email quote later that day. He also took all of his measurements at the quote. I also had him give us a quote for our master bathroom, which has similar lighting, but we're saving that job for another time. On the day of install, they arrived at 8:15 a.m., ready to go. We discussed the position of the lighting, and they got started. The job was done at about 4:30 p.m., which included texturing and two coats of paint. They use heated blowers to speed the drying process so they could finish everything in one day. We had some paint left over from the last homeowner's paint job, so he used that to ensure a good match. We were absolutely delighted with Konrad's work. The kitchen and the surrounding area were completely covered in heavy plastic to contain the dust and paint, and at the end of the day, except for the final product, you would have never known they were there. They have been doing this for some time, and clearly have a system down to the point where it's obvious they know what they are doing. I'll try to add pictures, as the difference is dramatic. We couldn't be happier with the end result.
