+ -1 moreI have had to lien every property that I have worked on with Durston Builders. The first one I acctually released the lien under Daves promise to make payments towards the balance. Well that was a mistake because he made the first payment and never paid again. Likes to play the "Ill pay you next week game" for months. I get calls from his clients regularly with concern because he took their money, hasent returned to complete the job and doesn't answer phone calls. Feel bad for these nice people and told them to file a complaint with the CSLB.

+ -1 moreThe scope changed significantly from what we originally discussed due to external events. Dave was very good about preparing new quotes. Unlike new construction access to the area was hampered by other stuff. Dave's crew was good about working around the obstacles and working with us when stuff had to moved. This was a small job for them so work was scheduled around their larger projects. The workmanship is very good. They always cleaned up the area.
Description of Work: Rehab'ed an existing room - new ceiling, new walls, new exterior stucco, new windows, new doors, new floor, new heat pump, and new insulation. This was a rehab, not a remodel. Extensive electrical work was done by an electrical contractor that the family has known for decades. So Dave had to deal with their eccentricities. Additional beams were installed so the attic area could be used. Dave installed the alarm sensors.
