Description of Work: A louvered patio cover from Arcadia with solid covers on either side and a colored concrete patio beneath. |This project took over a year and was not completed as we discussed at the begining. Concrete is not colored and has dark gray blotches. Color was to be a light tan. Patio cover is a "hybrid" design with solid covers on either side of the Louvered Arcadia cover. Even though these covers were from different companies we were assured that the colors would match, they don't. We were then told that the solid cover would be painted. We declined to have this done (who paints an aluminum cover?). Both covers do not drain the water off fast enough and water flows over the top. The water that does go into the drains splashes on the patio clear up to the house (why have a cover?). Water leaks down the side of the house under the cover. Eight months into the project he wanted the final payment which we declined to do. I then found out there was no permit pulled for this project. We then had a formal request demanding payment from his attorney, which we also declined. There was not a contract signed by us so there were no grounds ( the attorney got schooled!!). We gave the attorney our demands and stood our ground. More threatening letters came from the attorney over the next six months until we settled on getting the permit, split the difference on the final payment and we will complete the job ourselves.
