Lambert Heating and Air Conditioning

Alan Lambert is a Pro's Pro. Very detail oriented. Clearly knowledgeable and a very honest person. The order was for a 3 ton compressor, the older compressor was 3.5 tons. He could have asked for additional $$ but instead he told me that the units were not that different in price and he could absorb the small difference. How many contractors would do that? (Hint: in over 25 years of dealing with contractors, he is the only one I can recall. He lives a few miles away, but well worth the effort. He is the only HVAC contractor I want in my household. The job was a challenging one. Heating unit is located on the roof of the house, is very old (probably from the 1970's) and had not been serviced for decades (it is located at my very elderly parents house). When it stopped working, we purchased a $99 coupon on Angie's List to have it checked out. A technician came out to inspect the unit and diagnose the issues. The parts had to be special ordered. We accepted their proposal for the cost of the repairs and the technician returned four days later and spent a couple of hours on the roof with the repair and the servicing of the unit. In the process, another small but important part broke and the technician explained very politely and fully that he would return the next day to replace the broken part and that there would be no extra charge for the part or the time to install it. As promised, he returned the next day to install the part and checked that everything was working properly. Would definitely use Lambert again. Polite, thorough, prompt, fully explained the issues in a clear and easily understandable way.

My air conditioner is broken so I wanted the company to repair it and then do the tune-up. I spoke to the technician and informed him of this and that I would first like an estimate for the repair work. He immediately tried to sell me on a full replacement of my air conditioner. As this was the case I decided I did not want to work with this company as all they cared about was the money. I have requested a refund from Angie's List.

It was a Big Deal purchase. They were terrific. They came out and got everything handled right away. They came shortly after the purchase; it wasn't a wait at all. There were no extra charges. They were very efficient. They did everything that we asked them to do and I liked that. I would absolutely use them again.

The worker was punctual and professional did an excellent job.

The inspection was thorough and complete. The technician was informative and gave us very good information on the care of the filter for our system. I have serious breathing issues so it is important to keep the filter clean. The communication with Lambert Heating and Air Conditioning was excellent. And the tech showed up when he said he would. We were very pleased with the service and would recommend using this company. We will call on them again.

He was really responsive, but their schedule was too booked for them to get out as quickly as we needed, so we scheduled another service provider from Angie's List.

He did a great job, checking the A/C unit outside, the furnace, filter, and even the air duct in the ceiling.

My A/C stopped working the night before and I had spent a miserable night without the A/C. I called the next morning and they came out that very afternoon. They gave me a window of 2:00-4:00 and the tech was ringing my doorbell at 2:00 sharp. He immediately began the inspection and quickly diagnosed the problem: a disabled condensation pump. He emptied the pump and said it was working again. He said the A/C would work until the pump filled up again. The pump shuts off when it is full to prevent leaks, as it is in my attic, that is a good thing. He said I could either leave the pump as is and wait for it to fail again or he could replace it. I asked him the price for a new pump, and after calling the office he provided me the price. I decided to replace it and after he installed it he finished the inspection i purchased on Angie's List. He updated me on the rest of the inspection and found no other issues. Total time spent during the inspection and repair was about 90 minutes. I highly recommend this company, they were responsive, courteous and were very reasonably priced on the new condensation pump.

Alan Lambert, the owner, spent a good 2 hours thoroughly measuring my house and patiently answering my numerous questions. He scheduled a 2nd appointment for a few days later to go over his bids, providing me with several options, from the "Rolls Royce" to the "Band Aid" fix. At our 2nd meeting, Alan again spent as much time as needed to answer my questions and concerns, and I ended up accepting one of the the higher-quality options. We settled on an installation appointment to begin just a short time later. The actual work ended up taking about 2 weeks due to the complexity of this installation. Most days a 2-man crew did the work, although a 3rd expert came out to complete some of the more difficult procedures. The workmen were polite, professional, and cooperative. They were usually able to accommodate my numerous special requests. Each afternoon, the cleanup guy did a good job, and all the old materials and construction trash were hauled away. As I am writing this, my new A/C system is doing an excellent job cooling me from the high summer's heat. All in all, I am very pleased with the completed project.

T o whom it may concern! everything turned out really good, they made an appointment and showed up on time and super professional, explained from the beginning to the end, about this unit. They found out they needed a part, after purchasing that part from out of town, they came back the next day, as promised and installed that part everything worked fine. The price was very very reasonable I can't say enough about how great the mechanic was and knowledgeable, he cleaned everything you could lick the floor, they were super and I recommend them highly and would use them again, thank you, Fred Gauer

It was a good experience overall, but had slight drawbacks and it keeps me from just giving the provider an A rating: When I first called they said they would get back to me but no one did till I called again about a week later. Mr. Lambert himself called this time ( spoke first with cs rep who was very nice and professional) and said he could help and get someone out there quickly. Arranged for person to get come to my home the following day. He showed up at time was told and got work. At certain points he asked for damp paper towels to help with his work which we did not mind. It was during and after the actually work that there was a bit of a problem: the soot he was cleaning out spread out to different parts of the room and was surprised how extensive it was. I think it would have been good on his part to warn us of this and that we should close all the doors of the rooms - we were unaware how much of this would spread. The job aside from that was done well overall so do not take this as that I would not ask on there services again. The price was within reason for the rate this kind of job entails and it got our heater working again. We just need a heads up about the soot next time.

They installed a heating unit in my house. They had to deal with a difficult tenant and they did whatever they could to make the job as smooth as possible, even lending a portable heater to the tenant until the job could be completed.

Lambert Heating & Air were very professional and courteous in our dealings with them. A basic summary: 1. Condenser was not working on Labor Day. I called and Alan picked up and offered to come out but suggested I try a couple of things first. I appreciated that. 2. My fix seemed to work for about a week and then the condenser went out again so we scheduled a maintenance repair (for the record I changed the fuses). 3. One of Alan's guys came out to do the job. It was done quickly and to our satisfaction. Price was great too. 4. The condenser still seemed to have issues after a few days. So Alan came out, replaced the delay timer, and said the service was on the house since they were already out to our house once before. A+ in my book. Thanks.

Alan Lambert and Crew first removed the 50 year old heater and installed the new one. The next day a crew came in to remove the old asbestos air ducts and Lambert Heating and Air put in new ducts and had to cut in a new vent in the family room. Since some of the electrical for the condenser unit had to be put on the outside of the house, Lambert Heating & Air did a GREAT job covering it making it look nice. (because of a room addition on a cement slab some electrical had to be exposed on the outside of the house) All of the crew were Courteous, Polite, Friendly and Very Conscientious. Only a portion of payment was required to get started on the job then a bit more in the middle and final payment was made after last inspections. Lambert Heating and Air took care of obtaining any and all permits required. The job took only 4 business days. We have run the air a few times and it is WONDERFUL! After the So. Cal. heat wave last year we will be ready for it this year!

After over 30 years with horrible luck with contractors my faith has been restored. We have wanted central air and heating but were always put off by the expected cost and how difficult it is to find someone to work on your house, let alone come into your home. My wife found Lambert Service Now on Angies List, along with the e-mail addresses of three other A/C companies pulled from Angies List. I sent the same e-mail to all four. I explained in detail what I wanted and gave my contact information. Thirty minutes after the first e-mail was sent, I received my first of only two call backs from the four e-mails?s I sent out. Christianne from Lambert Service Now called and we set up an appointment for an estimate. An hour later I had an e-mail from her confirming our phone call and appointment time. The night before the appointment I received another phone call from Christianne confirming the next day?s appointment. The owner, Alan Lambert was on time, his work vehicle was clean and professional looking with the company name, products and services noted on the side. Alan was clean and professional. He put on shoe covers before entering our home, as well as each and every visit, as did all of his workers. We spoke about what we wanted and he explained what he was going to do to insure we were buying what we needed, not what would make him the most money. He didn't say this but his honesty just comes through in that way. Each of the rooms and windows were measured, Alan explained this is one of the most important steps to getting the correct sized unit, one too large and you?re wasting money, too small and the unit is working too hard and wasting electricity. It took about an hour for Alan to measure everything, inspect the attic and electrical panel. We also went over locations to install the outdoor portion of the unit. When Alan was done he said he would like to write up the estimate at the office and come over when my wife was home. This was fine as I had another contractor coming over in the next couple of days. Quickly I'd like to note, the other company from Angie's List that called back, first almost tried to talk me out of it; "You do know this isn?t cheap?. Anyway he did come over, walked through each room and lifted the attic door with his clip board, ten minutes later he was gone and I had his estimate proving he was correct, he?s not cheap! Back to Lambert, Alan again showed up on time and we went over five different estimates that he worked up for us. He explained what each had over the others. He went over in detail the installation process and how long it would take. We were advised the installation would take 5 days, with two workers on site from 8 to 4:30. Each of these days his technician would be in and out as needed. I told Alan we would have to think on it as we had one more contractor coming over, a ?friend of a friend?. As soon as Alan pulled away from the curb, my wife and I made the decision that we were going to go with Lambert Service Now. We phoned Alan, set up a time to sign the papers and I canceled the other contractor.Everything and I mean everything went as planned. The workers were on time, courteous, constantly picking up after themselves. They laid drop-cloths everywhere they would be walking. If they left the drop cloth other than to go outside, they put booties on over their shoes. When they were done for the day, they cleaned up and vacuumed the areas they worked or walked through that day; they also organized all of their tools and supplies outside into one tidy area and before they left. Each day they asked it I had any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Lambert Service Now!

Gave a written bid to install AC in a 980 sf. house with a flat roof in Long Beach CA. The bid was in the general range we have been told, however the band to be installed was never mentioned.
