Sebastians Appliance Repair

My washing machine stopped working on Sunday March 13. I submitted an online request to inquire about service. Since it was Sunday, I did not expect to receive a call back from someone until Monday however Sebastian contacted me on Sunday to schedule an appointment for Monday morning. He arrived on time and quickly diagnosed and resolved the problem. I am extremely pleased with the responsiveness and quality of service provided by Sebastian.

I have always used Sears Appliance repair for our major appliances. I have never been happy with them but I guess I knew what to expect and they have been available every place I have lived. So...I called them on Monday, December 21 when our 4-year old washer wouldn't finish draining. Fortunately as it turns out, Sears couldn't send somebody until after Christmas. With a house full of guests, waiting until after the holidays wasn't a good option, so I searched here on Angie's List for an alternative and found Sebastian's Appliance Repair. They came out the next morning. They identified the problem (a bad pump) and fixed it all within an hour. They were punctual, polite, and did the job. I now have a new go-to company for appliance repair because I am very pleased with the service we got from Sebastian's.

Responded promptly and professionally. Very helpful and explained what he was doing and what I needed to do in the future to hopefully prevent the problem from happening again. Also, gave advice on kitchen appliances and answered all of my questions.

Sebastian made an appt for a specific time (not a three- or four-hour window, so I was pleased), and he arrived within five minutes of that time. I liked him already, since I left work early to meet him. He had gotten the serial number of the old oven ahead of time, so he had brought the correct part along with him--avoiding the need for a return visit. He did the repair and cleaned up afterwards. It's only been a week, but so far it's working fine. He also checked our aging washing machine and gave advice on whether or not to repair, costs/parts involved, etc. He was professional and personal, and I was very happy with the whole experience.

His response to my request for dryer repair was quicker than expected. He explained what the problem was and quickly repaired the problem. He also adjusted dryer elbows as a courtesy. He took the time to also check out a non-working dishwasher. I definitely would recommend him and will call on him for next appliance work needed at my house. I would give him an A+ rating.

Service was outstanding. Sebastian was extremely easy to work with. Very kind and explained each step and showed us the inner workings of the dryer and clearly explained what was wrong.

Yesterday my washing machine would only fill up with water, but wouldn't agitate, spin, or empty out the water from the tub. He answered his phone when I called, pulled his truck over so he could speak with me, asked me some questions about what the washer was/wasn't doing, told me it sounded like a broken timer, made the appointment with me for 8:30 am - 9:00 the following morning. He arrived right on time and had it troubleshooted in a couple minutes. He had the timer/switch part that the machine needed, showed me how my switch was no longer making contact after he removed it, and had the new part installed and the washer working 30 minutes later. After that he showed me how to routinely clean-soak the inside washer tub 1-2 times a year, and how to remove the cap of the softener tub to keep it clean. I'm embarassed to say it had a bunch of old gunky softener in the bottom of it (yuck!) so no wonder it didn't work right. After he left, I started the cleaning operation of the tub and will do it again 6 months from now and cleaned out the softener tub so it looks brand new. Thanks, Sebastian! I will definitely call you the next time one of my appliances breaks.

Very pleased with Sebastian's work. I forgot to mention the Angie's list coupon (my fault for not bringing it up). I guess parting with unexpected money is always difficult, but I am pleased the problem seems to be fixed and Sebastian did a great job resolving it.

Awesome. Was here within 2 hours of calling him, and he had it fixed today! The Samsung service weren't even going to make it here for another week!

I made a request yesterday and received a prompt reply as to when he could be here. He came on time and fixed the problem. I'm a happy customer.

I chose Sebastian for the job based on the estimate I was given, $75 service call plus "parts and labor". I guess I should have asked what that meant, but I also felt he was not forthcoming with his prices. He said he would come the following day, but if he had time the same day he would come by. I was not able to be by my phone for a while, so when he called about an hour later to tell me he was able to come the same day, I did not get the call. After I realized he had called, I called him back. He told me several times that he had called three times and seemed irritated about the fact that I didn't answer the phone. Despite that, I still asked him to come the next day. The day he came, he inspected the refrigerator and realized that the problem was very small. He was at the house only long enough to tighten a couple of screws holding the ice maker. The bill was $145. I wasn't at home at the time, my husband was, so when I called him later and told him I thought the price was a little excessive, he told me that the hourly rate for labor was $75 regardless of whether he was there five minutes or an hour. I really felt that he was not open with me about the prices and that he overcharged for his service. He once again became irate and would not let me talk. He offered to give me my money back but so far that hasn't been the case. I do feel people should get paid for the services they perform, but I think in this case his price was excessive.

The service was great. Sebastian came the same day i called. He diagnosed the problem and was very professional. I would recommend him to family and neighbors.

After I tried to self-perform the install, washer fitting was leaking so I called Sebastian to come give me some help. He showed up on time, had to go out and find the fitting, and then was on time for the next appointment. He finished the work quickly and efficiently and I highly recommend his services. I contacted Sebastian based on other reviews (which are all positive), but my experience was terrible. He came to look at an ignition problem on my gas stove. Took the front off, looked at the manual, and I believe he called the company. He said he couldn't fix anything at the moment because the whole ignition assembly needed to be replaced and didn't have the part. Cost unknown; he would call me back with the price. Service call for this information costed me $60 (and he forgot about the $25 off Angie's list coupon). Two weeks later he still hadn't contacted me so I called him back...said he had contacted the company about the part but was on vacation and would call me back in two more weeks. Three weeks later I thought I'd give him one more chance before I wrote a review. I called him once more; he said the company suggested cleaning the jets or something before replacing the whole assembly. Seems to me if he were as good as he says, he would have known that already, but whatever. He was going to charge me a discounted $25 (ok great) but never shower up to do the work (no phone call, nothing). So now I'm out $60 and no closer to getting my stove fixed. Gave this guy enough chances to really be sure about his integrity before writing this review. **updated 1/21. Sebastian saw my negative review and promptly called to reschedule the next morning. Came out on time, fixed the problem and apologized gracefully about the delays and miscommunication. I no longer question his integrity because he followed through to make sure I was satisfied *after* I posted a negative review. Would have no hesitation asking him to do work again.

Our 19 years old GE Profile refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer was icing up. I called Sebastian who answered the phone and told me he would arrive within an hour to assess the problem and give us an estimate. He arrived as planned, diagnosed the problem and the part needed. Since our refrigerator is an older model he needed to order the part ( the price listed above includes labor and the cost of the part). It was too late in the afternoon to get the part and perform the repair so Sebastian said he would come back early the following morning. He returned with the part the next day and fixed the refrigerator to our full satisfaction. We were very happy with his service. He is professional, efficient, courteous and reliable.

My Samsung (electric) dryer would turn on but the drum would not rotate and there were no error codes on the display. I called Sebastian on a Saturday and he was able to come by promptly on Monday at 8:30am. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a burned out control board. He took extra time to explain how the dryer worked to make sure I understood why the knew part was needed. After replacing the controller board the dryer still did not work. He took it apart again and went through all of the fuses. He found that one of several fuses near the motor was also damaged when the controller board burned out. He replaced the fuse the same day and it all worked well. Sebastian was prompt and repaired everything on the same day the part came in. He worked with my crazy schedule too!

Everything went well for the most part. Scheduling the service was easy, the technician was timely and professional, and he did a good job with the repairs. My only wish, however, was that he would have had something to clean the lint out of the dryer when he disassembled it.

The gentleman was a bit odd and kept looking around the house while he did the work. However, he showed on time, diagnosed the problem right away, and got the job done for a reasonable price.

It was a difficult task because had to disassemble and reassemble the icemaker along with removing the clog, but he did a great job and cleaned up after himself. Furthermore, he responded quickly, arrived on schedule, and was fully prepared to do the work.

he arrive within 5 minutes of the appointment time, he tested the machine and diagnosed the problem, and it was corrected; it was not need of replacement parts. overall a nice service visit.
