Sebastians Appliance Repair

Arrived on time, if not early, quickly found problem, replaced broken part (showed me where it was broken) and gave discount offered to Angie's List members.

Sebastian came out a few hours earlier than quoted and was able to come out the next day. Quickly diagnosed the unit, cost didn't make sense to repair a 3 year old unit, and gave me recommendations on new stack units. Quick and easy. Sebastian was professional, presentable, honest, and knowledgeable. Never felt like he was giving me a load of bull just to make a quick buck. Would absolutely call him again for any appliance repair needs.

He was very professional. On time. Pleasant.

Sebastian arrived within the first 10 minutes of the one hour window he said he would come. After he diagnosed the first problem, I decided that I could do the repair myself once the replacement part arrived. As he was leaving, Fed Ex delivered the parts that I had previously ordered which were the likely problems. Sebastian came back inside and ended up replacing two parts. He charged me $85 to come and diagnose the problem and an additional $70 for the labor to replace the bad parts ($160/hour). Note that he can be difficult to understand on the phone but is much easier in person. He will ask you to text him your name, address, appliance make & model, etc.

When he called he said he would call me back in 10 minutes. I told him he didn't get the call, but that aside, I would like he to come out.. I tried to tell him the problem, but he kept talking over me .Finally, he told me I had an attitude and to call someone else. Too bad because I had him before and he did a good job. And, I gave him a good review, Maybe he got up on the wrong side of the bed, but it wasn't professional.

He was on time, returned within his estimated time frame for parts delivery. Ice machine is great. I threw in his replacing our water filter figuring it would be a few dollars more for him to do. The part was three times what it is at Home Depot. He did advise that it was probably cheaper for me to buy it myself. I didn't listen and told him to install it so I can't complain. I just don't recommend anyone else buy a filter from him before asking price first.

Tech. said noise I heard was a fan for my icemaker, and wouldn't cause any harm. Charged only for his time

It went good. He was on time. He was professional. The work was good but it was pricey. I will shop around next time.

The service was excellent. He was on time. He was friendly and honest. He was upfront with the fees for labor and parts. No hidden fees.

They called me right away, unfortunately I'm too far away for them to help me. They called me back a little while later with name and number of someone who could. He also gave me an idea of what was wrong and about how much it would take to fix it. Really impressed with the whole experience.

Very good. Found out it was not the stove but the outlet that needed to be replaced. He saved us money.

Great job! He came right over after I called. He worked hard to test and retest so that the work was completed the first time. Professional, kind and courtesy. I will definitely use him again.

They were very good. They did arrive on time and really tried to make it work. I found them on Angie's List. Just 1 person came out and it took about an hour. The cleanliness of the area was good.

Fast, friendly, communicative and didn't try to upsell.

Not much more to ask. On time. Fair price. Came with the necessary parts to fix our ice maker. Even shopped around for an OEM part and passed the savings along to us (about $60). Completed the work quickly. The only draw back is that Sebastian is a bit informal. No receipt. No parts list. No work order, etc. I'm confident though, that I could call him and he'd come back at his expense. He is very cognizant of his reputation and social media reviews.

Diagnosed the problem on Tuesday, ordered part and completed repair on Thursday.

I read the glowing reviews and decided to contact Sebastians. He arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem, indicating he needed to order a control panel. He indicated there was only one available (in Kentucky) and he could order it. I held off initially because we wanted to consider other options (i.e. purchase a new oven). We eventually decided to go with the repair and I texted Sebastian indicating this. In the text, I wrote the following (verbatim): "This is [me] in [home town]. Let's go ahead and move on the repair of the Maytag. I guess we should expedite the order of the control panel. For my records, I would need a copy of the factory invoice of the part. Thanks, [me]" A short while after I sent this text, I received a phone call. Sebastian repeatedly demanded to know why I wanted to the invoice and I simply said I wanted to have a record of the cost of the part that I was purchasing. He asked why repeatedly and I said I need to know the true cost. I indicated I recently had a bad experience where I was overcharged (I understand money needs to be made...but there is a difference between that and getting gouged) and so I indicated I wanted a record. It was as simple as that. Sebastian eventually told me to "order the part myself" but I indicated I: a) had no idea what part it was to order and b) where to order it from. He then resumed questioning me as to why I needed the invoice. I finally said this behavior sounds suspicious. After repeatedly being asked why I needed the invoice, I said we will not use his services. After I hung up, I texted him indicating asking for such an invoice was "WELL within my rights as consumer." I also told him "I would be filing a complaint unless I am missing something here." In other words, I gave him ample opportunity to respond. I've heard nothing. Given his reluctance to supply an invoice and given his quoted price point of the part was (in my view) very expensive, I simply do not trust him. I am sure, given the great reviews, he does splendid work; but I no longer trust contractors or repair people if they are unable to verify true costs to consumers. Sebastian balked at this; he will not ever get my business. To be honest, I was shocked at this balking given the pleasant interaction I had while he diagnosed the oven. I don't like writing negative reviews but it is imperative that this information be know to potential consumers.

I found him at Angie's List, and sent him a message on weekends. I didn't expect his rely until Monday, but replied to me on Sunday, his day-off. I made an appointment with him on phone, and he arrived on time. He explained to me what he thought of the problem, and how he would fix it. He took it apart, examined it, replace the part (the pump), and test it to make sure it works fine. The job was done in 1 and a half hour. The washer works great, and sounds great like a new one again. He was responsive, professional, and polite. I will hire him again, and recomend him to anyone.

I was told that they do not come out to my area, even though their ad and phone number in the Angie's List publication indicates that they would travel out. I was treated very very rudely and I don't think that he should be advertising on Angie's List.

The ice maker was cleaned and no parts were replaced, but the ice maker quit worker again 30 minutes after the technician left. I called and explained what happened. He came back out and found he had missed cleaning a place where ice had formed on the working parts. He did not charge for the return visit, and the ice maker has worked fine.

If I could give Sebastian 6 stars out of 5, I would. He arrived promptly, was very pleasant, and went to work on my washer to identify the problem. Later he came to me and told me the problem was very serious and explained It all to me. I would need to get a new washer. I couldn't help myself and broke down because my whole life seemed to be falling apart. I am in a wheelchair due to a workplace accident where the employer carried no workers comp. After 6 surgeries I still can't walk. My car with 244,000 miles on it is breaking down, I am alone with no income getting food from the food bank. NO way I can go to the laundromat. During my breakdown I kind of let all this info out. Then I thanked Sebastian and told him I could write him a check for the service call.. He went back to the garage to put the washer back together so I could have it taken away. A LOT of time passed and finally he came back in and said OK it's FIXED. I couldn't believe it. He had gone way into the innards of the machine and gone the extra mile and stuck his arm waaay up inside and pulled out massive amounts of sand and leaves and gross moldy stuff I guess my son had caused when he just threw all his stuff in after returning from the mountains. A TON of gross stuff I got to see for myself. And then he charged me a very reasonable price. He is just a great guy, no two ways about it. I recommend him highly!

Great. Sebastian was very responsive to my repair request, knew what was needed, was on time, cleaned up and moved my appliance out and back and handled everything very professionally.. He completed the hookup in a timely manner and was very knowledgeable about my refrigerator. He also offered some helpful tips on getting the best use out of my appliance. I will call him again for my other appliance needs!

Sebastian was able to get the motor unfrozen and the water flowing. Cycles were tested and water drained normal.

Very responsive - was here 45 minutes after my initial call (on time as promised). Diagnosed the problem, went for the part and back at the promised time. Cleaned the dryer vents and replaced the parts. Explained what he had done. Tested the unit. Total time from call to fix was less than 2.5 hours! Would call him again.

My refrigerator is still not cold and they never got back to me when I sent a text. 185 dollars is a lot of money for me especially considering nothing has really changed. I was also never given any kind of invoice showing the breakdown of services, that is, how much just for showing up and how much for melting the ice and letting me know the fan was running slow.
